If the poster in the CHR section is right, Lizzo is dropping a remix of “Good As Hell” featuring Ariana Grande Ugh, I don’t mind the idea of a remix with a guest but does it have to be Ariana Grande?

Adele is not releasing her single on Friday. Moreover, “Hello” was not ‘released out of nowhere’. • She released a trailer of for the song on Sunday October 18th during an X Factor UK commercial break. • She then did a BBC Radio 1 interview on Thursday October 22nd where the song first premiered. • “Hello” was officially released, Digitally and Physically, Friday 23rd October. Adele can announce it 30 seconds before Friday, you don't know. Just because Hello was announced 5 days before, doesn't mean anything now. And this lead isn't "out of nowhere", there are rumors and she said that her new album will be out before Christmas, people are expecting her lead single in October/November. Yeah, okay. Also, when did Adele ever say that her new album would be out before Christmas?

If the poster in the CHR section is right, Lizzo is dropping a remix of “Good As Hell” featuring Ariana Grande If how Ariana's latest two singles did on the chart is any indication of the fact that people are already over her, this remix then won't help GAH that much, if at all.

Lol it's still Ariana Grande, let's not forget that earlier this year she held the top 3 spots on the Hot 100 simultaneously. Boyfriend and DCMA were basically throwaways so they don't hold a lot of weight

Yeah, I like Ari, I bought “thank u, next”, that said, she needs to just NOT
“Good As Hell” is going to be a hit without AG, the song certainly doesn’t need a feature, especially this early in the chart game. I remember feeling similarly when JB’s “bad guy” mix dropped, if JB was officially credited, he would’ve stolen billie’s thunder

In the long run it really won't make any difference.

He also has 2 all time chart entries and 5 songs on the decade end list. Not to mention the fact that Rockstar accumulated more points during its 8 weeks at #1 than 7 rings did. Look, I really like Ariana Grande. But mine (and your) personal opinions have little to do with the charts.

This seems like just a cheap trick to get “Good As Hell” to surge into the Billboard Top 10. I agree that the impact of the remix overall probably won’t get Ariana a feature credit. Or maybe it’s just an S&M remix type of thing and she’ll only get a credit for a couple weeks. I guess it depends on how good/bad the new version is.

Countless other artists have used these types of remixes to boost their songs on the charts.

And not in the same way that Lizzo added DaBaby on the “Truth Hurts” Remix. But more similar to the Justin Bieber remix of “Bad Guy.” Adding an A list singer on an already popular song screams gimmicky and cheap to me. I probably wouldn’t have felt the same way if it was a featured rapper I guess. The “Girls Like You” addition of Cardi B didn’t feel gimmicky because that was the single version.

I know Old Town Road wasn't the first song to capitalize off remixes, but it's definitely the one that did it the most effectively. And I feel like all these remixes we are getting lately are coming from the fall-out from Old Town Road, and everyone is trying to get a slice of the pie.

Remixes have felt way more prominent this year, with OTR, Ransom, Panini, Truth Hurts, Bad Guy, and now Good As Hell getting remixes to help them peak higher. But personally, I view it more as a throwback to a bygone era when remixes were way more vital to getting songs to max out their potential popularity. OTR sorta revived that.

The “Girls Like You” addition of Cardi B didn’t feel gimmicky because that was the single version. You *do* realize that Good as Hell's EP, Coconut Oil, has been out for 3 years, right? This is, just like Girls Like You, a feature-adding remix done for the single (re)release.

Why is it that Lizzo's old songs are the ones blowing up? She released a whole brand new album this year but songs from 2016 and 2017 are what's catching on?

iHype. random, but I just noticed that Spotify has returned Fake Love's lost streams. It's at 680 million streams now.

It's even more ironic because her new album is way more pop oriented and radio friendly than Truth Hurts or Good As Hell and has only received a quarter of the traction. Maybe Juice and Tempo will blow up in 2021.

Will sunflower see a 53rd week? It seems likely and i’m actually amazed that its entire run was in the top 20 (or most of it if it was out for a few weeks but i don’t recall)

One of the many wonders of the streaming era. A lot of rules go out the window. I Fall Apart caught on after a live performance of the song by Post Malone went viral online and that fire spread across the entire parent album and gave it new life on DSPs. I really did think songs like Soulmate and Juice would be the hits off Lizzo's album, but Good As Hell will do. I'm just glad she has another song picking up steam while Truth Hurts is still doing well. Another album I can see having insane longevity is Billie's album. Songs off it are landing trailer spots for TV shows and movies left and right. It won't be long before another song off the album takes off. Seeing as she doesn't make songs that sound like hits and she still performs really well on Spotify, I can see her next album having a massive debut.

I think Billie's next album is truly going to be insanely huge. If she can do 313k (only 57k less than Ariana) as a new act with no real hits outside of viral ones, then I am eagerly awaiting what she can do post Bad Guy with a bigger promotion budget, an even heavier industry push, a larger fanbase, and one of the biggest smash hits of 2019 to her name.

Yea the debut was smaller, but overall When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? has way better longevity than Thank U, Next. Billie's next album should be quite bigger than WWAFAWDWG. She is one of the new artists who has the potential to become "S" tier artist, weather she will become or not we will see.
