I think Billie's next album is truly going to be insanely huge. If she can do 313k (only 57k less than Ariana) as a new act with no real hits outside of viral ones, then I am eagerly awaiting what she can do post Bad Guy with a bigger promotion budget, an even heavier industry push, a larger fanbase, and one of the biggest smash hits of 2019 to her name. In comparison to Lorde's career trajectory, it felt like Lorde peaked with her debut album. Her sophomore album was a way stronger effort, but for whatever reason, neither the album nor the singles off it performed as well as her debut album. Personally, I feel like she took too long a break between both albums and that didn't work in her favor. I hope the same doesn't happen to Billie. Billie should spend the rest of 2019 and most of 2020 touring and playing festivals around the world to build her fanbase even more. Her label should try to see if they can push any more songs off the album and then maybe she should release a lead single off her sophomore album late next year. She seems to have a really great team around her and they've made all the right moves do far so I trust they'll continue to do so.

Will sunflower see a 53rd week? It seems likely and iโm actually amazed that its entire run was in the top 20 (or most of it if it was out for a few weeks but i donโt recall) It was out of the top 20 for three weeks but it spent its entire chart run in the top 25 so far. It will become the first song to spend its first 52 weeks on the chart inside the top 25.

Yea the debut was smaller, but overall When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? has way better longevity than Thank U, Next. Billie's next album should be quite bigger than WWAFAWDWG. She is one of the new artists who has the potential to become "S" tier artist, weather she will become or not we will see.
I think the bigger question will be whether the mainstream public will be more welcoming of what Billie does next. With Billie's whole edgy aesthetic and style, it's a miracle she even broke through at all. I can see her going the Carly Rae Jepsen/Lorde route, in that she might not ever reach the heights of 'bad guy' again, but she'll definitely becoming a critical darling. She'll also probably inspire a whole bunch of copycats just like Lorde did, so really looking forward to seeing a whole bunch of white girl singers trying to be "edgy" and "scary" ๐

It remained like that for over 2 years. I guess Spotify finally got around to rectifying it. I noticed it today. It takes More Life to 3.87B streams. Views and Scorpion are also at 5.86B and 5.74B streams respectively.

I have to stare to space and wonder what happened to Niall Horan single, thought it was picking up at radio. No Harry Styles either or Louis Tomlinson. Not a big fan of 1D but I thought they all made decent tracks this time around to make it big. Its weird!!!

^None of the songs by those artists are on today's kworb chart. Niall's song did appear in the chart last week, probably because of having a radio deal and because of the change in rolling audience update it disappeared from one day to the next. It might reappear at some point.

Post Malone has two top 5 singles within the last 3 months. He also has 2 all time chart entries and 5 songs on the decade end list. Not to mention the fact that Rockstar accumulated more points during its 8 weeks at #1 than 7 rings did. Look, I really like Ariana Grande. But mine (and your) personal opinions have little to do with the charts. let me know when most baloney has the top 3 songs at the same time!! At least he doesn't sell out to get success.

There are only 10 chart weeks left in this calendar year. It will be interesting to see who claims the final number one song of the decade. Maybe Adele? Previous end-of-decade #1s are Jay-Z & Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind" (the 00s), Santana & Rob Thomas' "Smooth" (the 90s), Phil Collins' "Another Day In Paradise" (the 80s), Rupert Holmes' "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)" (the 70s), The Supremes' "Someday We'll Be Together" (the 60s), and Frankie Avalon's "Why" (the 50s).

At this point unless Adele does release Lizzo's likely getting there.
I would have expected the hype to be far bigger for Adele rather than a couple posters on Pulse saying she's releasing. Twitter is kinda quiet.

The rumors say Friday but Adele and her team have been quiet... as usual. She can definitely do a surprise release, but I would have expect a bit more hype and whispers on social media at this point.

It's probably gonna hang around for another 4-6 weeks after that too.

Why is it that Lizzo's old songs are the ones blowing up? She released a whole brand new album this year but songs from 2016 and 2017 are what's catching on? Mostly cuz they are in commercials and movies

"Memories" is #12 on Spotify! It really is catching on and this time with no featured rap artist or viral music video to boost its streaming. Just as I thought Maroon Five will have a chart slump, they have proved me wrong again lol
