About the '80s charts and RIAA certifications, I think especially the late '80s was a time of very poor single sales, in part I guess because album sales were really starting to take over and move big numbers. That's interesting that Saving All My Love for You was re-certified platinum. I guess they seem to be combining older physical certifications with newer digital and streaming numbers, because if you go to the RIAA site they're all listed under the same entry: for example, I Will Always Love You is at 8x platinum, and I Wanna Dance with Somebody is at 3x platinum. I had always assumed they separated digital and physical.

Lewisβs other stuff wouldβve charted already so heβs probably doomed to one hit wonder status. I would throw James Blake and James Bay in there due to them being so forgettable I confused them with James Arthur. Anyway, I hope that Trampoline rebounds. |

Also I totally forgot about James Bay but yeah, you can throw 'Let It Go' in with other terrible adult alternative hits of the decade. |
