I'm not sure, but I would think the sudden slow down for Circles on radio is coming from Enemies getting pushed now. It did have a pretty decent update today though.

Considering that Circles gained more than 10,000 Hours and Memories today, I wouldn't consider it a slowdown yet. It is set to be #2 in Radio Songs.

And for the third time, we must ask a question - will Luke Combs get a top 20 hit? Looking at ETIL's Spotify & AM numbers and considering it's got a higher radio than when BNBMH attempted the same feat it's looking likely but.... we'll have to see. I'm not even the biggest fan of the song but holy shit would I love to see it in the top 20. Let's hope!

What newer Christmas songs do you think will eventually be a yearly staple?

I think the latest Christmas song that had a lasting impact (apart from All I Want For Christmas is You obviously) is Last Christmas and that was in the 80s!

Michael Buble's Christmas album has maintained its popularity over the years but those are covers.

In my country, the youngest original Christmas song I continue to hear yearly is Ariana Grande's Santa Tell Me and next one is Britney's My Only Wish and 98 Degrees' This Gift.

I'm hoping Kelly Clarkson's Underneath the Tree will eventually reach that staple status.

100% underneath the tree it charted at 46 last year

Santa Tell Me has re-entered the top 200 on US Spotify. The only "modern" (read: 80s and onwards) one there besides Mariah and Wham for the moment.

Underneath the Tree also saw an uptick in popularity last year and is currently on a meteoric rise on iTunes right now too. It'll likely hit Spotify's chart in the coming weeks too.

Those are the only two modern originals I hear often lately. My Only Wish seems to have a nice little niche spike every year too along with an NSYNC track. Any other modern tracks I hear often are covers. (Though I did hear Aly & AJ's "Greatest Time of Year" in Wal-Mart last year lol.)

I think I never heard this track but this Redbone comparison made me definitely wanna listen!

Also, I'm really rooting for Circles to be #1 this week. Hopefully Someone You Loved will finally start plummeting on the radio because damn... Two weeks at the top for this song are enough.

Nope, Enemies is not getting the Pop/Hot AC/Alt push that Circles is getting. Enemies is charting on only Rhythmic and Urban radio.

Eww. Maybe I'm biased since I love 'Lover' so much but this remix just isn't it. Someone tell Taylor to stop doing duets, she and her featured artists almost never have any chemistry.

I mean if it makes sure 'Lover' doesn't get stuck in between years then good...I just wished it would've been done organically instead of a rushed remix.
