It’s crazy how relevant she has remained despite her lack of radio success in recent years. They need to milk this single as much as they can, because I don’t remember hearing too many potential radio singles on her most recent album. This was the only song that stuck out to me as “radio hit”.

I need CMAs, ACMs, and Grammys (oh and AMAs as well) for this incredible song. A true masterpiece and a timeless classic. Keep the bluebird on your airwaves, radio! Let's get Miranda to #1 again!!!

#11 on Billboard Country Airplay with no sign of slowing down! *knock on wood* Just have to get Gabby Barrett to go recurrent and Miranda Lambert's in the top ten.

This finally appeared on callouts this week–the scores aren’t great, but I don’t see anything eye-poppingly bad and it has tons of room to grow because of the extremely low familiarity! I think radio loves this one anyway so hopefully the ride stays smooth all the way to #1.

I think radio loves this one anyway so hopefully the ride stays smooth all the way to #1. I do think it should have smooth sailing to #1 on Mediabase. Billboard I am a little more shaky on due to "One Margarita" by Luke Bryan. Mainly due to the fact that it is not too far behind Miranda Lambert in terms of audience but the spin gap is big enough to where it is totally feasible that Luke passes Miranda on Billboard and before Miranda's push week "One Margarita" has established such a lead that Miranda comes up just short. I still think Miranda Lambert has a good chance of hitting #1 on both, but I would keep an eye on Luke Bryan's latest single as I suspect that song could have a run at the top like "Play It Again" did back in the Summer of 2014

I've been meaning to comment on this thread but I'm mostly a lurker these days...
Anyway, I just wanted to say that from the first time I heard this song several months back, I was in love. "Bluebird" is just a fantastic song, and, for me, it's easily the best single Miranda has released in her entire career. And I say that as someone who isn't really a big fan of hers...she's one of the few female artists that I could just never really get into, whereas I love most of Carrie's output, Kacey's, Maren's...always was a big fan of Shania, Martina, Sara, Faith, etc. For some reason Miranda's style just doesn't suit me as much. But I love, love, love this song, and so the fact that it's completely won me over makes me NOT surprised to see it become her true comeback, and I'm not surprised to see it shaping up to be one of the biggest hits of her career.
It's really rare for me to truly enjoy a Miranda Lambert single, but when I do, they tend to become big hits (see "The House That Built Me" and "Automatic"), although it doesn't always happen either (I also really loved "Smokin' and Drinkin'" but radio sadly didn't get on board there).

Still prefer the original, but the acoustic version of "Bluebird" is quite gorgeous.

As of this week, "Bluebird" is now:
#1 in Canada (her first since "Automatic" in 2014) Top 40 on the Hot 100 (at #33 -- her first since "Somethin' Bad" in 2014 and already out-peaking "Automatic") Top 5 on the HCS chart (her first since "Vice" in 2016)
She's flying!

"Bluebird" is a huge hit. Up 10-8* on Billboard, as well. As long as it stays the course, it should be #3 or 4 there next week too.

Seeing "Bluebird" shaping up to just about hit #1 makes me giddy!!! This song more than deserves it, and I still spin it daily. I also love that acoustic version...prefer the original but the acoustic is gorgeous. Fly, Miranda, fly!

Already her 4th biggest hit on the Hot 100, and should easily eclipse the peak for "The House That Built Me" within the next 2-3 weeks tops. A lot of country #1s have been hitting the top 20 lately on the chart, so it could have a slim shot at landing somewhere in the vicinity of her two highest peaks there (wouldn't it be cool if this one bested both and made it to the 16-18 range?). Based on the way things are trending, I see this one landing in the top 25 at least.
19 Somethin' Bad 20 Mama's Broken Heart 26 We Were Us** 28 The House That Built Me 32 Drowns the Whiskey** 33 Bluebird 35 Automatic 35 Over You 38 White Liar 44 Heart Like Mine 44 Baggage Claim 47 Vice 47 Fastest Girl in Town
**if we include her duet hits.

Well her push week should be in a little over 2 weeks from now so "Bluebird" looks to have about 4 more positive weeks on the Hot 100, so assuming there are no album bombs, I think Miranda has a shot at getting in the Top 20 on the Hot 100. Does anyone know if this is close at all to being on the Year End Hot 100
Also nuts just how great of a year country music has had with so many big hit singles (this, "I Hope", "The Bones", "Nobody But You", "Chasin You", "One Margarita", "Hard To Forget", "Does To Me", "One Man Band", "Even Though I'm Leaving", I Hope You're Happy Now", and to a lesser extent "More Hearts Than Mine", "Beer Can't Fix")

I hope Miranda can carry this momentum to her next single, though I don’t think there’s really anything else on the album that would do too well at radio. My personal pick for the next single is “Tequila Does”, however crazy it sounds.

This gets better every time I hear it. Definitely one of Miranda's best singles of her career.
I hope they go with "Tequila Does" next too. It's the best streaming song on the album besides the two singles and the Maren collab, so it seems to be connecting with people. I worry the key change might be off-putting for radio listeners but it's worth the risk. I really love "Track Record" and "Dark Bars" too and would be cool with those as singles.

I do think "Tequila Does" will be the next single especially since it is one of only 5 songs featured in this video that will premiere tonight on Miranda's YouTube page

I still imagine "Mess with My Head" is the front-runner for next single, but "Tequila Does" and "Way Too Pretty for Prison" seem like possible alternatives as well. I think "Head" sounds like the most accessible song for radio left on the album though and sounds like a pretty modern song for today's country radio that feels like new territory for her musically, while also still feeling like classic, sassy, rocker Miranda. It also had the best debut from the promotional singles released ahead of the album too, with it charting on the Hot Country Songs chart at #45. Also nuts just how great of a year country music has had with so many big hit singles (this, "I Hope", "The Bones", "Nobody But You", "Chasin You", "One Margarita", "Hard To Forget", "Does To Me", "One Man Band", "Even Though I'm Leaving", I Hope You're Happy Now", and to a lesser extent "More Hearts Than Mine", "Beer Can't Fix") Yep, and there's more coming up the pipeline, too. I think the current singles from Thomas Rhett, Jason Aldean, and Lee Brice will all be in the same echelon as those when 2020 is over and done with based on the way they're moving the needle right now, and there's a lot of others that are shaping up to be pretty big hits as well too, even if they don't all quite get to those levels. It's a very strong year for country music on the charts.

I am all on board for "Tequila Does" as the next single, though I worry about the slowwwwwww start to the song negatively impacting testing. It would be great for whatever song is next to completely rebound Miranda at country radio by at least securing her another top 10.
