If baby shark made the year end, why not holiday songs as well? Cause Baby Shark will ONLY hit 2019 year end, unless something big happens. The holiday songs will re-enter every year and cause legitimate hits of that yesr to not even be counted |

Yep, that’s why the Hot 100 needs to return back to the time where Christmas songs don’t occupy multiple spots in the top 40. So you'd rather prefer the charts to be inaccurate. I don't mind older songs entering the charts again if that's what people are actually listening to. I agree. If christmas songs are dome of the modt popular at this time of year. The charts should reflect that. I don't think the Christmas songs in the charts are a problem What i DO think is that for the month of December we should stop recureency. So when Sucker fell out of the Top 50 on Dec 7, in my new idea it would have still been able to chart. Then when the first week of January ends and everyone's done with Christmas, make the songs under 50 with 20 weeks or more go recureent again, and if a song like Sucker re-enterd the Top 50 that week becayse of the Christmas songs going away, then let it come back. But if on that week a song like How Do You Sleep? Remains below top 50 even with Holiday stuff gone, it shoulf go recurrent |

Possible dumb question: are the currently charting Frozen II soundtrack songs considered holiday songs? I don't recall "Let It Go" being considered as such. It's really easy to associate Frozen with Christmas, but I don't see how it could be considered Christmas/Holiday music if Old Town Road isn't country, ya know? It's holiday tangential at best. My Favorite Things isn’t a holiday song but has been adopted as one. 2000 Miles by the Pretenders is another. I could see Let It Go becoming a December standard. |

I really think it's gonna Mariah and Juice at either 1 or 2 this week. Lucid Dreams will obviously be the highest charting hit, but I'm wondering where Bandit will land since it's his current charting hit.
Also wondering where Brenda Lee will place, next week is gonna busy and I have no clue what's gonna happen.
