I wonder if If The World Was Ending could be a contender for SOTY/ROTY. It finally reached the top 40 this week so it's a hit. Julia Michaels received BNA and SOTY nod for Issues two years ago. She's a songwriter for a lot of notable pop stars so she probably has a good amount of support among voters. The song is also produced by Finneas which could help even more.
And most importantly, the song's profile rose because of the pandemic and it even has a music video fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders that featured a lot of artists.

I could absolutely see it in pop duo performance but general field is a bit less likely. although the politics of the show will definitely boost its chances.

Idk, now that it’s been mentioned, it does seem like the sort of song out of left field that, once it’s nominated for a Song of the Year, suddenly doesn’t seem surprising anymore.

www.billboard.com/amp/articles/news/awards/9442226/artists-who-could-land-major-grammy-nominationsAs the Grammy Eligibility Year Ends, Here Are 18 Artists Who Could Land Major Nominations The eligibility year for the 63rd annual Grammy Awards ends today (Aug. 31). Needless to say, it has been a Grammy year like no other. Midway through the eligibility year, which began Sept. 1, 2019, a global pandemic impacted virtually aspect of American life. On May 25, the killing of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police put a bright spotlight on race. How will these events impact the Grammy nominations? We won’t know for sure until the nominations are announced later this year. (Last year's nods were announced on Nov. 20, to give you some idea about timing.) Here are 18 artists who could land major nominations. Taylor Swift: Swift is likely to land her fourth album of the year nod for Folklore. Her last two studio albums, Reputation and Lover, were passed over in that marquee category, but Folklore has been more warmly received. To date, only one female artist, Barbra Streisand, has received four or more album of the year nominations. (That legendary star has amassed six nods.) But this year, Swift, Lady Gaga and an all-female trio, The Chicks, could each land their fourth. Folklore has topped the Billboard 200 for five weeks, which puts it in a three-way tie with Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding and Lil Baby’s My Turn for the most weeks at No. 1 in this eligibility year. (Of course, Folklore may well add to its total.) Swift’s “Cardigan,” which entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 1, has a good chance of landing a song of the year nod. It would be Swift’s fifth nod in that category, which would be more than any other female songwriter. Swift is currently tied with lyricist Marilyn Bergman as the most-nominated female songwriter, with four nods each. The Weeknd: The Weeknd is a near-lock to receive his second record of the year nod for “Blinding Lights,” which logged four weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100. The R&B/pop star is also likely to receive his second album of the year nod for After Hours. The Weeknd was nominated in these categories five years ago for “Can’t Feel My Face” and Beauty Behind the Madness, respectively. “Blinding Lights” won video of the year at the MTV Video Awards on Aug. 30. If it also wins record of the year -- a strong possibility -- it would become only the second work to win both of these awards. The first? Green Day’s “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” 15 years ago. Harry Styles: The pop idol has a good chance of landing nominations for record, album and song of the year. These would be Styles' first Grammy nominations -- in any category, solo or as part of One Direction. The only question is whether the Nominations Review Committee, which determines the final nominations in the Big Four categories, will favor “Adore You” or the sexy summer smash “Watermelon Sugar” (a No. 1 hit on the Hot 100). Fiona Apple: Apple has a good chance of landing an album of the year nod for her critically-hailed Fetch the Bolt Cutters. Apple has been nominated twice for best alternative music album, but hasn’t been nominated in a Big Four category since she was a best new artist finalist 23 years ago. Fetch would be the first alternative album by a female solo artist to be nominated for album of the year since Sinéad O'Connor’s I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got 30 years ago. Billie Eilish: Eilish has a good chance of landing record and song of the year nods for either "Everything I Wanted” or the more recent “My Future.” Eilish won both awards last year for "Bad Guy." She would become the first artist to be nominated for record of the year the year after winning since U2 nearly two decades ago. The Irish band won the 2000 award for "Beautiful Day" and was nominated again the following year with "Walk On," which also won. Maren Morris: The versatile singer has a good chance of landing her second record of the year nod for her country ballad "The Bones." Maren was nominated two years ago for "The Middle," her smash pop hit with Zedd and Grey. Morris would join Swift on the short list of artists who have received record of the year nominations for both pop and country records. Swift was nominated in the category once when she was a core country artist (for "You Belong With Me"), once when she was flirting with pop but still officially country ("We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together") and twice as a pure pop artist ("Shake It Off" and "Blank Space"). Lady Gaga: Gaga could land her first album of the year nod in nine years with Chromatica. Gaga's three previous nods in that category were for The Fame (2009), The Fame Monster (2010) and Born This Way (2011). Moreover, Gaga and Ariana Grande could land a record of the year nomination for their smash “Rain on Me,” which entered the Hot 100 at No. 1. It would be the second nod in this category for both artists. Gaga was previously nominated for “Poker Face”; Grande, last year, for “7 Rings.” Megan Thee Stallion-Beyoncé: Their collab, "Savage," a No. 1 hit on the Hot 100, has a good chance at a record of the year nomination. This would be Beyoncé's sixth nod in that category, which would enable her to surpass Streisand as the female artist with the most career nods. Incidentally, if both "Savage" and “Rain on Me” are nominated for record of the year, this would be the first time in Grammy history that two all-female collabs were nominated in that category in the same year. Just two all-female collabs have ever been nominated for record of the year: Brandy & Monica's "The Boy Is Mine" (1998) and the Iggy Azalea/Charli XCX collab "Fancy" (2014). Post Malone: Posty is likely to be nominated for album of the year for Hollywood’s Bleeding and record of the year for the delectable ear candy “Circles.” This would be his second album of the year nod and his third record of the year nod in as many years. He was nominated two years ago for "Rockstar," featuring 21 Savage, and last year for "Sunflower," his team-up with Swae Lee. Post is vying to become only the fourth artist in Grammy history to make the finals in this category three (or more) years running. The first three were Frank Sinatra (who was nominated four years in a row from 1958-61), Roberta Flack (1972-74) and Steve Winwood (1986-88). (This would make for a pretty cool quartet.) Lil Baby: “The Bigger Picture,” in which Lil Baby demonstrates his support for the Black Lives Matter movement, has a good chance of landing a song of the year nod. H.E.R.’s “I Can’t Breathe,” which won the VMA Award in the socially-minded best video for good category, could also be nominated. Several like-minded songs have been nominated for song of the year in recent years, namely Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” (2015), Beyoncé’s “Formation” (2016) and Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” (2018, which won both song and record of the year). “The Bigger Picture,” which was released less than three weeks after George Floyd’s killing, entered the Hot 100 at number three. Lil Baby’s aforementioned album, My Turn, is also in play for an album of the year nod. Luke Combs: Combs’ sophomore album What You See Is What You Get has a good chance of landing an album of the year nod. The album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1 and has logged 26 weeks at No. 1 on Top Country Albums. No country album was nominated for album of the year last year. Kacey Musgraves’ Golden Hour was nominated (and won) two years ago. The Chicks: Gaslighter, the country trio's first studio album in 14 years, could put them back in the album of the year finals. The Chicks’ last three studio albums, Fly (1999), Home (2002) and Taking the Long Way (2006), were all nominated in this category. If Gaslighter is nominated, The Chicks would become the first act to make the album of the year finals with four consecutive studio albums since Billy Joel did it with 52nd Street (1979), Glass Houses (1980), The Nylon Curtain (1982) and An Innocent Man (1983). Roddy Ricch: Ricch could land two record of the year nods, for his own smash “The Box,” which topped the Hot 100 for 11 weeks, and DaBaby’s “Rockstar,” on which he was featured, which spent seven weeks on top. That would make him only the second artist in Grammy history with two record of the year nods in the same year. The first was Pharrell Williams, who was featured on nominated hits by Daft Punk and Robin Thicke seven years ago. Ricch also has a reasonable chance of landing an album of the year nod for his debut, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial. But don’t look for Ricch in the best new artist category. He won a Grammy last year as a featured artist on Nipsey Hussle’s “Racks in the Middle,” which makes him ineligible in that category. Bad Bunny: The Puerto Rican singer, rapper, and songwriter has a good chance of landing an album of the year nod for YHLQMDLG. It would be the first Spanish-language album to be nominated in that category. The album already made history when it entered the Billboard 200 at No. 2, becoming the highest-charting all-Spanish album in the chart's 54-year history. BTS: Will this be the year that the K-Pop sensations finally receive their first Grammy nod? They won four VMA Awards, including three for their hit “On.” Either "On" or the newer "Dynamite" could rate a nod for best pop duo/group performance and even, perhaps, record of the year. Doja Cat: The singer/rapper, whose “Say So” topped the Hot 100, won the VMA push best new artist award. She could land a Grammy nomination for best new artist Grammy, and maybe even a record of the year nod. But when she was younger, she made some negative comments about Blacks and gays, which certainly won’t help. And Dr. Luke, who produced “Say So” (under a pseudonym) and co-wrote the song, has some baggage of his own, due to Kesha’s allegations. Dua Lipa: The British pop star won best new artist two years ago. She’s an album of the year contender with Future Nostalgia; a record of the year candidate with “Don’t Start Now.” Lil Uzi Vert: The rapper, who was nominated for best new artist three years ago, is an album of the year possibility with his acclaimed Eternal Atake. you could tell they got tired of writing towards the end

Last year was November 20th, so they might announce them again in November. They only make an announcement days before, so there’s no way to know until then.

Grammy Predictions 2021: Blackpink, Pop Smoke, Doja Cat And Ava Max For Best New Artist
At this point, it can be difficult to predict who may or may not be nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys for the sole reason that who is eligible and who isn’t is often a point of contention. Some acts who only have a few songs out may wind up being up for the prize, while others who have released a number of albums or mixtapes throughout the years are selected as potential winners, even if they no longer appear to be “new” to most in the know.
There are bound to be one or two surprises come nomination day, but there are some figures who seem destined to be included in this vertical, which is the only one at the Grammys where a musician can be chosen just once.
Below are my predictions for Best New Artist.
Very Likely
By my personal count, I believe there are eight names that have a really great shot at being nominated for Best New Artist...which means that if all of them do wind up earning a coveted spot, all the other musicians mentioned in the other sections of this piece are out of luck.
In the pop field, Ava Max, Conan Gray, Lewis Capaldi and Blackpink could all be named, though any of them might be excluded in favor of other talents. Country newcomer and American Idol contestant Gabby Barrett’s debut single “I Hope” recently became the rare country top 10 hit on the Hot 100, so she’s probably a lock. R&B powerhouse Summer Walker deserves a spot, while rappers Megan Thee Stallion (if she’s eligible, which she seems to be) and Pop Smoke have more than earned this form of recognition. The latter act has already passed away, but hopefully that doesn’t keep voters from including him, as his legacy deems him worthy.
Possible
There are a number of names who have landed big hits or broken out in a major way this year, but looking at how crowded this category may be already, it’s tough to say if any of them will be nominated come this December. Doja Cat, Tones and I, Alec Benjamin and Jack Harlow have all enjoyed some chart success, but will Grammy voters love them enough, or appreciate their work enough, to sub some of them in lieu of others mentioned above?
Long Shot
As always, there are quite a few other musicians who are eligible or who have accrued enough chart or sales success to pop up on the radar of voters, but I’m not necessarily putting my money on any of them at this moment.
Hip-hop artists Don Toliver, Saweetie, 24kGoldn, Iann Dior, Arizona Zervas, Trevor Daniel, Joji, Lil Mosey, Saint Jhn and The Kid Laroi have all kickstarted brilliant careers, but it's possible voters didn’t get to know them well enough to nominate them.
K-pop powerhouses SuperM, NCT 127 and Monsta X all broke out and achieved things very few from South Korea have in U.S. history in the past eligibility period, but if there’s one spot for someone from that burgeoning field this time around, I believe Blackpink will win that race.
Pop musicians and groups like Benee, Powfu, Gus Dapperton, Beabadoobee and JP Saxe all landed global hits, but they’re far from household names at this point.
Country singer-songwriters like Ingrid Andress, Parker McCollum and both Tenille Townes and Tenille Arts have started to make a name for themselves, but it’s tough to say if their minor chart wins have been large enough for them to earn a nod in the Best New Artist category.

www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2020/09/04/grammy-predictions-2021-taylor-swift-selena-gomez-her-and-harry-styles-for-song-of-the-year/#6dc742a84e00
Grammy Predictions 2021: Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, H.E.R. And Harry Styles For Song Of The Year
As always, it’s important to remember that the Grammys for Song of the Year and Record of the Year are not the same prize, even if the nominees in both verticals do often overlap and if the names seem to suggest they are.
Song of the Year is awarded to songwriters, with the best-written track (whatever that means) earning the honor. Sometimes the trophy goes to a smash hit the world couldn’t stop listening to, while in other instances, it’s awarded to lesser-known compositions that are undeniably beautiful.
Typically, the list of possible winners features a healthy mix of both kinds of releases, and I believe that will be the case for the upcoming ceremony.
Below are my predictions for Song of the Year.
Very Likely
I’m placing half a dozen tracks into the “very likely” category for Song of the Year nominations, and all but two of them reached the top 10 on the Hot 100, with three rising all the way to the highest spot, if only for a short time. Taylor Swift’s “Cardigan” is pure Song of the Year bait, and Grammy voters are sure to take it. She’s been nominated many times before, and this latest win may give the singer her best shot at taking home this prize. Fellow chart-toppers “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd and “Watermelon Sugar” by Harry Styles should both be included, as well as Billie Eilish’s short-lived top 10 “Everything I Wanted.”
I’m guessing that both Maren Morris’ “The Bones,” the biggest country hit in some time, and H.E.R.’s “I Can’t Breathe,” a single that is vital for people to hear at this moment, will not be forgotten by voters come this fall.
Possible
Aside from those six tracks, which could all be certainties in the Song of the Year field, there are quite a few beloved compositions that deserve to be nominated, but which may or may not be the first selections voters will think of when it comes time for them to pick possible winners.
Lil Baby’s “The Bigger Picture” was a hit and perhaps the hip-hop superstar’s most important single yet, as it deals with the racial issues this country is reckoning with at the moment...and it may be the rare rap track to earn a spot in the Song of the Year category.
Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now,” a highly likely contender for Record of the Year, could also wind up in the running, as could country and rock-leaning releases by the likes of The Chicks (“Gaslighter”), Fiona Apple (“Shameika”) and even Bob Dylan (“Murder Most Foul”), though that last track clocks in at 17 minutes, so perhaps it’s a bit too long to seriously be included.
Long Shot
Further down my ranking is another set of tunes that have all performed well on the charts and which have been heralded as jobs well done by the industry and critics, but which might not be thought of as brilliant works of art, or perhaps which didn’t make large enough impacts to earn Song of the Year nods.
In the pop world, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain on Me,” Lewis Capaldi’s “Before You Go” and even Selena Gomez’s "Lose You to Love Me" could all possibly sneak their way in.
In the R&B space, both Alicia Keys’ “Underdog” and Anderson .Paak’s “Lockdown” are deserving of this recognition, though they weren’t major successes when it comes to sales or streams.
Rising talent Gabby Barrett’s “I Hope,” which has turned out to be an extremely rare debut smash from a solo female country musician, could also be considered...but she may be too new and relatively unknown, even at this point.
In other years, many of these tunes may have had a better shot, but several symbolic slots these “longshot” cuts seem to fill could be claimed by other, more powerful or successful or critically-acclaimed cuts.

www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2020/09/02/grammy-predictions-2021-bts-beyonc-lady-gaga-taylor-swift-and-ariana-grande-for-record-of-the-year/#177adc8321a9Grammy Predictions 2021: BTS, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift And Ariana Grande For Record Of The YearSometimes at the Grammys, the Record of the Year category features a healthy mix of massive smashes and tunes that flew under the radar, but which are widely regarded to be impeccably crafted. At the upcoming 2021 ceremony, it looks like nearly every track that will be vying for what some call the most prestigious honor will all have risen to the top of the charts, or at least come very close. Eligibility for the next show is now closed (it ended on August 31), so voters will soon have to choose between a slew of beloved pop and hip-hop cuts that have all dominated the radio waves and streaming platforms for quite some time, picking those they feel made the biggest impact. Below are my predictions for Record of the Year. Very LikelyMaking my list of possible nominees for Record of the Year, I nearly filled all the slots with tracks I feel are destined to be nominated, so I believe may be only one or two rungs that are up for grabs. The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now,” Roddy Ricch’s “The Box,” Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé’s “Savage,” Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain on Me,” Post Malone’s “Circles” and Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar” (which I’m betting he and his team choose to submit over “Adore You”) are all likely a lock. There may be one or two of those tunes that don’t make the cut, but beyond that, it would be very surprising to see several of them ignored in this vertical. Of that bunch, only Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” failed to control the Hot 100, as it peaked at No. 2, though it remains one of the biggest hits of the year all around the world, and the Recording Academy seems to love her, so a nod in this group seems safe to predict. PossibleIf there weren’t quite so many near-certainties, I’d think that some of the following tunes had a better shot at a Record of the Year nomination, but as it is, it’s hard to suggest that many of these will be named as possible winners, even though they’re all worthy of inclusion. Taylor Swift’s “Cardigan” and BTS’s “Dynamite” (which will likely be submitted instead of previous hit “On,” as the more recent of the two has just become the biggest winner on the charts for the band) both went to No. 1 on the Hot 100 and they opened with massive first-week frames. They were also liked by critics, though their real success was with numbers. Maren Morris’ “The Bones,” Billie Eilish’s “Everything I Wanted” and The Chicks’ (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) “Gaslighter” were all beloved by reviewers and the industry, but they weren’t chart-toppers, which would help them all. Long ShotA handful of additional cuts have a shot, though this year’s group seems too packed for many more to seriously be considered. Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj’s “Say So” was a No. 1 hit, but both the singer and the song’s producer, Dr. Luke, are controversial, and some voters may be scared away. DaBaby and Roddy Ricch’s “Rockstar” was a huge hit, but voters may not have room for it, and while Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” is already one of the biggest successes of the year, the song’s adult nature may keep it out of contention.

www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2020/09/01/grammy-predictions-2021-bts-taylor-swift-post-malone-and-dua-lipa-for-album-of-the-year/#189e4f439e89Grammy Predictions 2021: BTS, Taylor Swift, Post Malone And Dua Lipa For Album Of The YearEligibility for the upcoming 2021 Grammy Awards officially wrapped yesterday (August 31), which means that every song and album that will eventually be nominated (and win!) is available now. There have been plenty of predictions throughout the past 12 months, but as of now, nothing else is coming that could be up for a golden trophy, so this is the perfect time to begin picking possible champions and hedging bets. Below are my predictions for Album of the Year. Very LikelyOf all the possible nominees for Album of the Year at the upcoming Grammys, my bet is that there are five titles that are all but assured one of the coveted eight slots in what is still widely recognized as the greatest of the big four categories. The Weeknd’s After Hours, Taylor Swift’s Folklore, Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding, Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia and Fiona Apple’s Fetch the Bolt Cutters must all be up for the prize, and if any of them are left out, it will truly be a shock. The first three full-lengths in that list all went to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and produced at least one No. 1 hit on the Hot 100, and while those accomplishments don’t always factor into who wins a Grammy, they certainly help. Lipa’s sophomore set more than lived up to expectations (actually it surpassed them), while Apple’s comeback set was worth the wait, and it stands as one of the highest-rated releases of the past year. PossibleThere are a handful of titles that seem like they would all be natural fits in the Album of the Year vertical, but if there are only three spots available (after the five releases above take up theirs), not all of them can be nominated. On the pop side, Harry Styles’ Fine Line could grant him his first nomination, while Lady Gaga’s Chromatica instantly became her most successful release when looking at the dance charts...and it has spun off one of the biggest hits of the year with “Rain on Me.” Childish Gambino’s 3.15.20 seemed to come and go pretty quickly, and while it didn’t conjure up any hits like some of his past efforts, it is still one of the most critically-lauded releases in contention. Looking in the country field, females should take the reigns this time around, with both The Chicks’ (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) Gaslighter, their first project in nearly 15 years (since they last won this honor) and The Highwomen’s self-titled debut could easily be included. BTS’s Map of the Soul: 7 is something of an outlier in this vertical, as it’s one of only a few sets performed largely in a language other than English, and while the Grammys don’t tend to favor those releases, it has a lot going for it. The former chart-topper is one of the bestselling and biggest releases of 2020, and while the band’s new single “Dynamite” isn’t featured on its tracklist, the fact that they just landed a historic No. 1 hit should remind voters how beloved and successful they are. Long ShotIn the longshot section of these predictions, I’m guessing a number of hip-hop albums are all up against one another, and hopefully at least one (if not more) end up being nominated, as the Grammys still need to be better about including the genre in the big four categories. Roddy Ricch’s Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial and Lil Baby’s My Turn rank among the biggest sets in the country this year, and both have sent a song to No. 1 on the Hot 100 for a number of frames. Three posthumous releases, Mac Miller’s Circles, Juice WRLD’s Legends Never Die and Pop Smoke’s Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon could all be in the running, though voters may not know which one to choose. Beautiful new efforts from the likes of Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard (Jaime), Chloe x Halle (Ungodly Hour), Tame Impala (The Slow Rush), Bob Dylan (Rough and Rowdy Ways) and even Bad Bunny (YHLQMDLG) all have a shot, though it’s tough to say which ones voters will favor.

Capaldi is eligible after being nominated in a general field last year? How does that work? I didn’t know he could still receive a nomination for BNA.

Not sure, he shouldn't be allowed, but I guess maybe since because he didn't win?... I don't know, the Grammys consistently change their rules while breaking them at the same time. :|

Lewis Capaldi, last I checked, is not eligible for BNA. Since he was the vocalist for the song in which he was nominated for.

What are the chances exile gets nominated over cardigan? I feel since it's gotten the most acclaim, it's fitting exile gets nominated for SOTY or ROTY

Juice WRLD & Pop Smoke's albums will most likely be shut out of the AOTY category since they can't squeeze them both in.
They're overselling Dua Lipa’s chances.

If I were them I would submit: SOTY - "exile" ROTY - "cardigan" Pop Solo - "cardigan" Pop Duo/Group - "exile" Country Song - "betty" Country Performance - "betty" Music Video - "cardigan"

Blackpink has been around for four years... I don't get why they would suddenly pop up on Best New Artist.
Not to mention that K-Pop has poor record with voters so far. If it's gonna break out, it's gonna be this year, considering BTS and BP are posting their biggest numbers yet, but it's far from the lock they seem to imply.

BTS probably has a good chance for Pop Duo/Group for Dynamite and I'm pretty sure they would campaign for that. Skeptical with GF categories though

yeah I hardly see BLACKPINK rallying support for a BNA nomination. I think it's more wishful thinking

I think folklore might win AOTY without any of the songs winning in general fields. She'll probably get the pop collab for exile though

Lewis Capaldi, last I checked, is not eligible for BNA. Since he was the vocalist for the song in which he was nominated for. Ed Sheeran was nominated for BNA in 2014 after scoring a Song of the Year nod in 2013 for "The A Team", so it's possible that the argument can be made for the artist still being eligible since it was only their written work, and not their produced content recognized before.

As per the updated rules: NOT ELIGIBLE • Any artist who had achieved a breakthrough in a prior eligibility year. • Any artist with a previous GRAMMY nomination as a performer, including a nomination as an established member of a nominated group. Exception: If an artist is nominated (but does not win) for the release of a single or as a featured artist or collaborator on a compilation or another artist’s album before the artist has released at least five singles or an entire album (and becomes eligible in this category for the first time), the artist may enter this category in the eligibility year during which the artist’s fifth single/track or first album is released. • An artist with a previous songwriting GRAMMY nomination, if the nominated song had gained its prominence through a performance by the songwriter as the primary artist.

If Chance the Rapper was able to get nominated for Best New Artist in 2016, I see no reason why BLACKPINK can't
