The Madonna and Missy disrespect in this thread is way too much. they might be past commercial success but Dua still gets to collab with two legends and it's what she wanted. As for charts the remix could have an impact on sales if it's good but I see the original carrying streaming and radio. Some people are bitter cause Dua didn't choose their faves. If she did, they would've praised this to heavens even before hearing the remix. But since it's Madonna, it's always messy. We know she's a mess these days but we just hope for the best. If it won't be good, it's not the end of the world, we still have the great original version.

It’s true that a Harry Styles / Bruno Mars remix would have been more intelligent chart wise, but i can’t complain.

Y'all acting like if you don't like this version it's the end of the world.
Chile the original is still there... y'all dramatic let's just focus on the fact that Dua has gotten not only Missy Elliot but Madonna featured on a song of her own in just her second album era. Iconic if you ask me.

This obsession with chart positions and "success" makes me wonder if some of y’all even enjoy actually listening to music. LIT RALLY! the girl is collaborating with her idols and y'all are so concerned about the charts and her team's decisions. my guess is that after the remix drops, her team may service the remix or the solo to radio. problem solved. A Bruno Mars or Harry Styles remix doesn't even make sense lmao what's next Carrie Underwood ft. Doja Cat?

Most of my Facebook homosexuals are already planning to boycott this when it is released because of what Madonna posted yesterday. They’re done with her.

This isn’t going to be released until August 14th...gay Twitter and gay Facebook will forget about this entire thing in a week when they find a new celebrity or influencer to cancel.

Not going to lie, the missy feature would be great. The Madonna feature at this point in time? No thanks. I get it, of course I have the original that I can bump. But if this is what’s pushed and it’s not good, I’ll be disappointed. I had high hopes for this as a single.

I don't know much about Dua Lipa except her music. I may be assuming this but I would think Madonna may be one of her Idols. I highly doubt she cares all that much about her radio play right now. Hello she's working with Madonna one of the most Famous woman in the world. Maybe the young kids aren't into her much but the woman is A List whether you like her or not. Btw, I'm not even a huge Madonna fan but she's still Madonna. lol

I read on Atrl that this won't be pushed as a single in US. I guess they will release and leave it to die.

Why would they spend money on a Madonna & Missy remix and not do anything with it?

divas- well said. :) Would be nice if that's hoe everyone was- not necessarily a huge Madonna fan, but still recognizing her status/impact/level of what she's done, etc.
I'd think this will get some kind of spotlight on it upon release and not just tossed out there. Speculation is that there was a video shot in London.

Why would they spend money on a Madonna & Missy remix and not do anything with it? Radios won't play this, they will play the original version. BBC Radio 1 won't even playlist this because of Madonna. It's more logical if she'll continue with Hallucinate in US and Levitating remix in Europe & Australia.

Hallucinate won’t do anything in the US. It’s literally pure Europop, radio won’t even touch it sadly.

You don't need to wait for the hear the remix, we all know radios are ageist, even Gaga, Katy are struggling despite they're just over 30 years old. And Radio 1 said they will never playlist Madonna again cause she's too old for their listeners. As a M stan, i would like nothing more to see this smash, but we must also be realistic. If it'll smash, then it will be a great surprise for me and other M stans.

Fun dance remix. I'm still wondering how much similar or different it will be from the original.

Even if radio plays the remix, they’re still not playing a “Madonna song” but rather a Dua song. I don’t see Madonna (or Missy) either helping OR hurting Dua’s streak. It all comes down to quality and promotion.

The attitude in this thread sucks royally!
Look, Dua Lipa, a young current act featuring anyone they choose will get played.
However, a veteran featuring a current act no longer works like before!
I too just hope this remix isn't an overproduce mess!
Dua Lipa has been on a roll and this collab should only help establish her!
And of course, add to Madonna's already astounding statistics.
I can't wait!

For those who are looking to get an idea of The Blessed Madonna's production and sound style, she did a remix of Dua's "Electricity" song a couple of years ago under her then The Black Madonna name.

Madonna still has some kind of support in European countries, like Italy and Portugal. Anyway, fans say she'll release a remix album and a B-sides album so this might actually be a promo single for FN Remixed and not a proper single. Which would make more sense.
