Ya, but no one is listening to them, nobody is listening to radio right now, but that’s where it gets all it’s points (except for a few exceptions) Lol are you in every home in America!?? How do you know that. LMAO. Radio bashing in these threads is hilarious. I listen to radio every single day, I must be the only one in this country of 300+ million. It's a proven fact that most radio listening occurs in the car and with less people on the road, it's pretty reasonable to assume that radio numbers would be down. I haven't seen numbers on what people do in quarantine but I would assume that social media and video streaming services like Hulu, Netflix, and Disney+ are being consumed way more than radio. Streaming and sales are down overall, radio is definitely down as well

Here's my view on Toosie Slide. I don't think it's terrible but it could've been so much better because Drake is capable of making great projects. I just don't get why he won't look back at what he did in the early 2010s and make something similar quality from that era. I might enjoy the song if it's 2 minutes but 4 minutes made it too droning. Not every song is gonna be the same quality of Marvin room or 5am in Toronto. Tootsie slide isn't meant to be game changing it just to pass time during self isolation. He has quality coming

Yes, the decade that started four months ago. Until a better album comes along (no matter who it's by), I stand by that statement. Get ready for a new album of the decade on April 17th

Dua lipa’s album is fine, but i don’t come back to it as much as i do with after hours. They’re both great but i think the weeknd really made his best album ever since his mainstream fame beginning in 2015

It is and it's going to smash! We also need a proper global dance hit, it's been a while.

I don't know where the whole "Dua Lipa's album is lazy" narrative came from, but she just released what will definitely be a top 5 Pop record of the year. Right now, it's #1. It's infinitely better than her debut album . And like someone said, Drake released his first mixtape in 2006. Dua dropped her first project in 2017. Drake has had over a decade of dozens of hits and classic albums and he's at a point in his career where he can afford to try whatever the hell he feels like. Dua can't do that. She's only two albums in. Drake already has an established legacy. Dua doesn't. I'm not even a huge Pop fan, but her album and it's singles are so good that a Pop album and a Pop single are my favorite of the year so far.
Basically, both Dua and Drake are great at what they do. The end.

A troll completely hijacking this thread with a simple no-facts based statement on how Dua Lipa is awful is getting super boring He obviously meant for us to start an argument which is super annoying, really slowed down the thread Anyways Toosie Slide sucks, his worst single in years and Future Nostalgia was creative and super fun and well thought out

Pop artist releases bad song “They’re finished! Over the hill! Flop! All their hits from now on are just payola! How pathetic!”

Is it just me or that "Roses" feels like the perfect spring hit? what a strange hit. No hate, but it sounds like a mall soundtrack, not a pop song.

Toosie actually seems to have increased in Spotify streams WW. Still most likely behind BL in numbers though.

2.27M says US Spotify, the another version might have collected additional streams.
I'm intrigued what was the AM/Spotify ratio for Life Is Good for instance. Does anyone have an insight?

It is probably that Toosie Slide's both versions got unified in a single number. Tomorrow's Spotify number should confirm whether that happened or not.

Drake and Dua are NOT comparable. One has a decade's-length catalog while one is just getting started. It is not fair to pinpoint their differences when they are totally different artists, and have totally different artistic approaches.
With that being said, saying Dua is "lazy, uninspired, boring" is even more unfair. She's worked her ass off to provide an almost flawless rollout. She's given us one of the best pop albums in recent history. She's promoted across continents, took criticism and changed accordingly. I'm not judging the music one would listen to, but when you compare Drake's Tik-Tok, status- driven "Toosie Slide" to Dua's "Future Nostalgia" era, it makes me cringe. Drake making and releasing "Toosie Slide" couldn't have taken a quarter of the effort Dua put into "Future Nostalgia".

Spotify Canada still has 2 versions charting. Playcounts: Day 1: 5,995,702 (explicit) + 895,356 (clean) = 6,891,058 Day 2: 12,357,297 (explicit) + 1,331,613 (clean) = 13,688,910 (+6,797,852)Barely a decrease
