RE Aubrey Graham- I miss the days when a major act would take some time off, give fans a chance to miss them (even just a year of releasing no new music), so when new music was released, there was much anticipation, excitement, etc. I have to give Robyn Fenty some credit in that respect- she took a break after having such a ubiquitous presence. Nowadays, though, for acts known for having a lot of collabos and featurings, you're still likely to hear from them at some point. Rihanna has done more than take a break, though. This is now longer than most.

Idk why drake has to put effort in his songs when dua doesn't and she gets worshipped for it here dua literally reinvented herself for future nostalgia??? she learned how to dance after the internet made fun of her stage presence?? your misogyny is showing bb. It not misogynistic to call out a woman for being lazy you don't have to like the new album but in my OPINION she literally made the album of the decade. i mean she reinvented herself completely. there hasn't been a rollout like that in a minute (three singles (all released two months apart) and a promo single that all SLAP) even with the eventual leak and earlier release. she recorded over 60 songs for this album, 11 of those that we've heard plus however many more we're gonna get to hear on the deluxe edition that's coming soon. she learned how to dance this era after getting dragged last era. none of that sounds lazy to me.

Dua being lazy 😂 biggest joke of the year you don't have to like her as a artist but Dua has put the work in for this era if anyone is lazy it's been Drake.

I feel like the keyboard in the background in Toosie Slide sounds oddly depressing and dreary. Not hating but that's the vibe I get.

Someone is out to get me but I kind of like the Drake song fml. But of all songs to not be 2 minutes, why is this one over 4? It's waaaay too long.

I'm gonna be honest, I don't think Toosie Slide is THAT bad. Like it's a bit mediocre but it isn't terrible.

I don't think the song is bad. it's a cute lil song. if you look at it from a glass half-full perspective, at least he's not stealing Jamaican culture anymore. not in this song. "toosie" got his name from an African tribe, but Drake isn't pretending that it's his and giving credit where it's due.

Dua vs drake stans starts now.
I don't deny that Dua put in a lot of work on the album, but Future Nostalgia was mid AF.

Dua Lipa put together a top-notch pop record. It's nobody's fault but your own if you hate pop.

I don't know about you, but I am loving how pop is dominating again. Songs like Adore You, Don't Start Now, Say So, Stupid Love, In Your Eyes, Blinding Lights, You Should Be Sad and The Man just to name a few are so amazing. Ya, but no one is listening to them, nobody is listening to radio right now, but that’s where it gets all it’s points (except for a few exceptions) Lol are you in every home in America!?? How do you know that. LMAO. Radio bashing in these threads is hilarious. I listen to radio every single day, I must be the only one in this country of 300+ million.

This forum probably bashed radio a little too hard, but yeah, people listening to radio at home is a fairly small minority.

It’s so wrong to compare Drake and Dua Lipa. Drake has released timeless rap albums and has dominated the decade with instantaneously memorable singles while Dua is just getting started. Drake is beyond trying because he can cook up a smash without an effort and most of the time he doesn’t even need to, Dua still needs to prove herself.

Here's my view on Toosie Slide. I don't think it's terrible but it could've been so much better because Drake is capable of making great projects. I just don't get why he won't look back at what he did in the early 2010s and make something similar quality from that era. I might enjoy the song if it's 2 minutes but 4 minutes made it too droning.
