Lots of mixed feelings. 🤔
I'm so torn on that album cover! I mean, I love stuff that's different but it's a bit too Adam Lambert For Your Entertainment ish. And it being called Here on Earth, but the cover is... outer space? 😂
So glad we're getting 16 songs and that it's even sooner than we expected, but I really thought he'd somehow still have Neon Church and Thought About You on the album. Atleast there's no Way Down!
I liked the Here on Earth song, but hated the "I'm here on earth" thing the video was trying to do. Like no shit, where else would you be? 😂
Really excited for a lot of those song titles! I had to google OBO (it meant "or best offer"). 🤓

I had to google OBO (it meant "or best offer"). 🤓 this is almost as bad as you listening to Hot Country Knights and thinking "Hmmm that sounds like Dierks Bentley", and then sending me a message joking about how much the guy sounded like Dierks Bentley...

Looking at the writers for the tracks I’m reminded I had heard and loved “7500 OBO” last Year at Tin Pan South Music Festival. Jenn Schott one of the writers sang it during her performance and even told us Tim had cut the song. I’m very glad it made the final track list as it’s a fantastic song.

I Called Mama is cute! Sad Thought About You, Drive and Neon Church aren’t on the album though...

7500 OBO sounds like a sure fire single! Great song he even name calls his 90’s #1 “Where The Green Grass Grows”.

Okay 7500 OBO has to be a single! It's by far my favorite from this project to this point, and probably my favorite song he's done since Sundown Heaven Town. bboat11 this has to be the one for the September rankdown! 🥰

7500 OBO sounds like a sure fire single! Great song he even name calls his 90’s #1 “Where The Green Grass Grows”. It's sampled in the music too Maybe they should have just used that music instead of the late 2010s Trap/Pop/R&B drum machine that used here. It just seems unnecessary for the lyrics.

I just got a RadioTraks survey to choose the next single from “Here on Earth.” The seven songs were: “Good Taste in Women” “Doggone” “Gravy” “Damn Sure Do” “Hallelujahville” “Here on Earth” “7500 OBO”

“Good Taste in Women” seems like a no brainer pick for next single, although Tim has been know to have some real head scratchers (at least in the past 10-15 years).

I disagree, "7500 OBO" is definitely screaming to be next. It sounds like a smash and reminds me of his late 90s/early 2000s smashes. I also am surprised "Sheryl Crow" wasn't in the conversation. That sounds like the other hit to me. "Gravy" and "Damn Sure Do" feel like nice final singles, assuming this project gets four.

It's been far outperforming all the other songs on spotify since the album was released, it's up to nearly 650,000 plays in just 4 days, I think it would be a big hit if released as a single.

That's one of my favorites as well so I'd support that as a single. That said, I think "7500 OBO" is the best of the choices in the RadioTraks survery.

From that list it's gotta be "7500 OBO" or "Good Taste In Women". Hoping they don't pick "Hallelujahville". The rest all work for me to varying degrees.
