Hello everyone! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! castleoblivion26 and LBTrocks are both still planning to get their lists to me by the end of the weekend! Thanks for waiting, I’m out of town visiting my cousin and headed back home this afternoon so really didn’t want to be sitting on my laptop doing rankdowns, lol. Will do this tonight.

Looking for next month covering four months worth of new releases?

At this point, we should just reveal July and August and not even worry about the remaining months. I do hope we can at least revive this for the new holiday releases and close out the year with that for this thread. This has been one of my favorite rankdowns to participate in, so I hope that bboat11 can find the time to continue hosting or, if not, to pass the baton to a fellow Tractor.

Hey everyone! I have an update for you First of all, I am so sorry. As you can probably tell, I have been incredibly busy. But that's not quite good enough. It's definitely time to admit that my passion has been fading lately, to the point where, as much as I LOVE hosting this series, there is a mental hurdle that I can't quite seem to get over lately, preventing me from doing the quality job that you have been able to expect from me for so many years now. I know that some of you ARE passionate about this series, and would love for it all to continue. I would definitely love to see it continue as well!
So, here is what is going to happen. I'm not giving up on it completely yet, but I am going to loosen my grip on solo duties. .indulgecountry has agreed to take on a more active role in this series. He has agreed to take over the September and October rankdowns, which will get us caught up! I will still reveal July and August, and he will take care of September and October. After that, we will see how it works alternating between us! My hope is that having a couple months off will allow my passion to come back a bit :)
So for now, if you have any requests for September and October, send those to .indulgecountry ! And with that being said, stay tuned for July reveals to begin VERY soon :) I feel a lot better about getting started now that there is a new plan taking some of the pressure off.

Where are the reveals for Wildcard album rankdown?
Good that this rankdown series will have co-hosts. We really could share our burden sometimes.

Not surprised at all for this to be first out, but I'm glad that there's at least 3 of us who bop to it, lol.

I'm going to try to keep my commentary short so that I can maximize speed, but "Trailer Park Barbie" was last place for SEVEN of our thirteen participants. This is just SO not my style, lol. I know a significant point of the song is celebrating that the narrator doesn't really fit in with the traditional "look", which is fine and I am always glad for more representation. But, sonically, she's not even TRYING to sound country. The tiny country-rap niche is just not for me.

"Settle For A Drink" is just rather average compared to a lot of this list. But it being my 27 is mostly a testament to how strong everything else is. I actually think this is on the catchy side of average.

I like Shawn Austin… “Settle For A Drink is really catchy and I’d argue it’s pretty strong melodically, too.

I generally like Tanner Adell (See You Im Church, FU-150, and Love You a Little Bit are all right, Luke Combs is very good) This And Buckle Bunny are nopes from me though. I do like the guitar luck.

I like "City Don't", but it just sounds soooooo cheap and low-budget. It's almost like a demo.

I really liked "Trouble", but "Ain't Doin' Jack" is not going to help Josh Ross to be remembered. Another one that was just quite average on a strong list.

I don't hate "City Don't" -- rare month where my last place was just a song I was 'meh' on -- but it's definitely not one of BC's best. He's really fallen off hard. The other two songs revealed also fall into the "meh" category for me.

Settle for a Drink -- What bboat said.
City Don't -- yeah, I got it, Country goid, city bad. Nothing new here and not a Billy Curringtpn fan, either, so low vote. (Admittedly most songs hit on familiar themes, but this theme is a bit overdone)

“Ain’t Doin Jack” is one of Josh Ross’s stronger offerings, but I just can’t get into him. He was fine live, but nothing special. He didn’t even sing my fav song of his “First Taste of Gone” which remains the only thing from him I purposely revisit.

"Leaving Love Alone" grew on me as I listened to it more, but still nothing amazing. Poor 🌺CountryLineDancer is getting massacred.

"Leaving Love Alone" was a little difficult to rank. I thought it verged between annoying and catchy way too frequently for me to get a solid read on how I felt about it. But I definitely was enjoying it more after a few listens, once I got used to the repetition.
