Kinda wish someone like Kygo could do a breezy remix of this and they push that to radio. The remixes so far would never be played on pop radio.

#353 on AM. Not too terrible, not great either. For Katy at this point it is what it is.

Is there another pop star of Katy's previous caliber that has fallen so quick? I'm baffled by the total lack of support for Katy at radio. Damn that h/c! lol

Damn that h/c! lol Her last irrefutable hit song is from 6-7 years ago, so I wouldn't really consider that "so quick." Radio has supported her many times, espeically with CTTR and NRO, despite not super strong interest/reception from the general public. It is what it is - I don't consider it a quick fall though.

And Leona Lewis barely made it through one album before fading into oblivion in the US. Her two hits were huge.

Damn that h/c! lol She has Top 5 Hot 100 hits spanning 9 years... you call that quick? Also, NRO was Top 10 at CHR iirc, and this was last year. Tbh, I can't remember another pop star that was around during Katy's peak that's still delivering at Pop radio, besides Gaga very recently. Beyoncé, Britney, Kesha, none of them had a CHR moderate hit in years (RiRi hasn't released anything in years, so there's that lol).

Alanis fell pretty quickly too, after the huge success of JLP and medium success of SFIJ, unplugged and soundtrack songs. Also Cyndi Lauper who after 2 big album eras including couple soundtrack tunes, and a 3rd sorts decent era then only had a single minor hit and fell into obscurity.
Katy may now be entering Xtina territory

If we're talking radio quick turning their back on women, I don't know a better example than the Dixie Chicks tbh. I know it's not CHR but still. Katy's enjoyed a good amount of longevity on the radio, from summer 2008 up until "Bon Appetit." Then last year "Con Calma" and "Never Really Over" were both moderate hits, the latter being carried heavily by the radio on the Hot 100.
I think "Daisies" possibly stalling here has more to do with the song and its performance on streaming. People aren't super interested in empowerment/uplifting songs (which was one of Katy's strongholds from "Firework" to "Roar") and the song just isn't on either end of the chill-upbeat spectrum. This energy level isn't desired as much.
I'm hoping the album has more pop and less AC-leaning material.

The fact it has gone this far and is still gaining is huge to me. I honestly expected this to do absolutely nothing on radio. It doesn’t feel like a song radio would carry right now, especially from Katy. This is a big success in my eyes

I’ve been listening to the remixes much more than the original lately. I really like this with a more amped up production.

The Can't Cancel Pride video was just released. It is based on the Oliver Heldens remix but it's a special version containing interpolations of lyrics and vocals from "I Kissed A Girl", "Peacock", "Walking On Air", and "Swish Swish".

Is there another pop star of Katy's previous caliber that has fallen so quick? I'm baffled by the total lack of support for Katy at radio. Damn that h/c! lol Paula Abdul comes to mind. She was all over MTV and VHI and radio. He debut album had four number ones and a huge smash with “Forever Your Girl.” She had a second album with two huge number ones right out the gate, including ‘Rush, Rush’. She as enormous, and the her third album tanked. “My Love Is For Real” barely made 29 on the Hot 100. The other two songs flopped and she was over.

Omg I can't!!! "Walking on Air"...what could've been ... it's one of my most listened songs of this year, threw it in my mix during the Future Nostalgia rollout and what an amazing decision that was!

good update! How far is she from #27 on Pop and #10 on HAC? It'd be great to reach top 25/top 10 respectively.

I liked the Oliver Heldens remix as it was, but adding in those mash-ups at the end made it even better. Hope they release that version to streaming.
