With how much tik tok has been ruling the charts, I'm surprised that a thread like this hasn't been started already. What are some songs that you think have the potential to get big off the app/are already starting to gain traction? I'd like to mention Mazel Tov by IDK and A$AP Ferg, not only because I really like the song, but also because I really think it has the right kind of appeal to pop off on tik tok. It has a whole dance, there's a distinct beat and IDK's delivery and charisma are just right to get the job done. Also, the line "Mazel tov to the gang" just sounds like one of those quotables that people on tik tok would be willing to pick up; I mean, they already have, I've seen a few clips with it.

Surprised Gunna wasn't asked to be on the remix. Seriously, Gunna kept Circles in the Top 10 for almost a year, any artist would be stupid to not get him on a track.

And thank God for that. The original is golden. The remix is such a bop tho The remix really has its production saving the track. The vocals sounds like a chipmunk cover of the original. I listened to the og and it is 1000x better than the remix

"Rain On Me" has it in the bag, it seems. I wasn't sure it could out stream "Savage," so with the HDD numbers I'm pretty confident about it now.

Diplo has music dropping at midnight and I wonder how he will do. On one hand, my expectations aren’t that high but on the other hand, he is collaborating with a lot of country artists and people from different genres so he may do well on Apple Music/Spotify country.

So Lady Gaga will have #1s in 2009, 2011, 2019 and 2020. Weird but impressive. 3 different decades! joining an elite group: Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Mariah Carey and Beyoncé all have #1's in 3 different decades. Mariah Carey and Beyoncé are the only two that have been at the top in 4 different decades.

Certainly a Sonny & Cher billing shouldn't be disqualified if we're counting 'features' or duets for some of the above.

George Harrison, John Lennon and Paul McCartney of The Beatles, Diana Ross of The Supremes would join Cher in the honorable mentions department. If group credits were counted, Beyoncé would be the only artist to have a different #1 hit across 4 decades.

Yeah but we’re free to count them if they technically were there regardless of Billboard’s inconsistent guidelines. We can certainly include Cher’s 60s and Beyoncé’s 90s #1 or at the very least acknowledge them.

Add Diana Ross to the three decades honorable mention list then. Number ones throughout the 1960s with The Supremes and solo number ones in the 70s and 80s.

But unlike The Beatles members and Beyonce, which is why I excluded them, they were never named separately with their groups. Cher and to some extent Diana Ross (in later years) were separately named. So Billboard, how is this not, at least, equivalent to the features? Also, from the charts I saw from 1986, "That's Was Friends Are For" charted as "Dionne & Friends" - Elton, Stevie & Gladys did not receive billing on either the chart or on the single itself. So Elton only hit #1 in 1970s and 1990s.
