Fun fact: all three of my namesakes are seen in the nighttime portion of "Indie" III. An Aimless Soul is a reference to here, Local Native is a reference to, well, Local Natives, and Runner is a reference to Tennis! I didn't even intend for this to happen, it just kinda happened lmao. I always thought this was a trippy ass song. This is perfect for late night driving. This song is the main reason I came up with this idea for the rankdown. When I saw them live, this song was so mesmerizing with the whole atmosphere of it.

Despite "Vide Noir" being my #1, I was definitely rooting for this one to go all the way. This was one song that I felt like a lot of people who do my rankdowns would enjoy, and I was surprised by how many people hadn't heard of this song before. I think we've only ever ranked "Munich" from Editors thanks to janinho , but these guys are an absolutely great band that I bet a lot of people here would love. Just great post-punk revival. This is easily my favorite song from them. Just something about this is so addicting.

I didn't know Vide Noir before this rankdown, but it was an instant #1 for me, and way ahead of my #2 tbh. Excellent song.

“Diamonds” was a great discovery. I’m glad it did that well.
Cool winner. I did not like the Lord Huron song that much.
Thank you for hosting James!

I was expecting Lord Huron to win so I'm a bit surprised my 1 did instead. I'm very glad it did though, An End Has A Start is such a cool song.

{TOP TEN WORD WALL...THOUGH IT'S SLIGHTLY TRUNCATED}#10: Good. #9: Super glad this made the top ten. #8: Good. #7: Good, just can't get into Joshua Powell too much, really. #6: Good, bordering on great. #5: Better than I was expecting. #4: Really good, need to hear more from them. #3: I've liked everything I've heard from Lo Moon, so take what I said about The Boxer Rebellion and multiply it by 10. #2: You know, for someone that doesn't really care about Lord Huron, I sure do find myself really getting into some of their songs. #1: This is really, really good...but I do think "Munich" is better.
