I have no earthly idea how I'm going to do here. This should be fun.
{A FULL WORD WALL}#30: No surprise to me that this is last. I liked it, but I've heard better from Aaron.
#29: Perfectly fine, but...personal rankdowns can be rough to rank sometimes, you know?
#28: See #29
#27: The first four reveals are my bottom five other than my #30.

#26: I, uh, might have liked this slightly more than "Heart It Races".
#25: This whole era was just a
waste. This is the best I've heard from this Walk the Moon era by a safe distance, and it's my last place in a personal (so not
bad, really), so there's that.
#24: I expected to rank this higher going in, and it just didn't work out that way. It's no "Dare".
#23: The most pleasant surprise of the rankdown, by far. I briefly contemplated putting this top ten.
#22: You'd think with this song's status as a
FIFA song that I'd like this more, but not all FIFA songs are equal. This is still pretty decent, though, if it's not "Blame" or "Bad Blood", I don't have as much of a use for Bastille as I used to.
#21: Ayy, first ten ends with a perfecto. Nice song.
#20: And here's the most disappointing song of the group. I expected my MVP Baseball 05 fandom to come through here, but "The IROC-Z Song" just grabs me in a way that this song doesn't...though, again, that MAY be because it's in one of my most nostalgic games ever. It would probably be a song I care for less if I didn't hear it a million times there.
#19: Everything I've heard from this PTM era, I've liked. I have no idea how I haven't listened to the whole album yet. Maybe I'm just waiting for the whole album to eventually end up in rankdowns. It feels like it's going to happen eventually.
#18:
James put "A Taste of Silver" #1, whaaaat For real, though, this is just as good as I remember it being. Nothing I've heard from UTRB grabs me the same way.
#17: I know this is in my bottom ten, but I was kind of rooting for this to make it to the final RD, even if it probably would have been my last place there. This is good in a way that I don't think Imagine Dragons are capable of anymore.
#16: Well, if I was going to lose a top ten before the final, I'm glad it was my #10, I guess? This was super solid.
#15: Perfecto right after I lose a top ten...I wish this was more of a tradition for me. And I see how it is, bolding gates' perfecto, but not mine. :kii:
#14: I probably need to seek out more Blossoms songs.
#13: Pretty good, I suppose, but they have better.
#12: This may be in my top ten, but I would have ranked a good chunk of DFA songs in the top ten here. This is one of the "weaker" ones, but that doesn't make it any less strong.
#11: Band of Skulls are a band that I constantly expect to like more and just
don't. This is top tier for what I've heard from them, at any rate.
There's one song that I'm SUPER glad to see in the top ten, and it's not my #1.
#10: Right on f
ucking cue, lol...I was shocked by how much I liked this. I don't really remember "Buttercup", but I know that I ranked it really low, so this must have been one hell of a turnaround.
#9: As soon as you said "highest standard deviation", I knew it was Japandroids. I wouldn't normally rank them higher than DFA, but, again, "Virgins" isn't one of my favorites, and "Younger Us" might actually be my favorite Japandroids song.
#8: I feel like I've heard this song about a million times now, and I had barely listened to the song in full. This song is the definition of the word "ubiquitous".
#7: Not surprised in the slightest that this made the top ten, but I expected to like this quite a bit more than I did.
#6: RMD hosts gang. The top five is a pretty good top five, but this instead of another song would have made it perfect.
#5: Here's the one that I would have swapped with "Mammoth", not like it matters. This grew on me a lot from RMD, though.
#4: The last two minutes of this song are better than anything else in this rankdown by a significant distance. The winner will pale in comparison, regardless.
#3: I would have preferred this from the remaining options, though. :(
Don't
really care about the winner here, I guess, but they're both good songs, so I can't really complain.
#2: I get a much bigger nostalgia trip from this song than I do pretty much every song in this rankdown, so it surprised me when I didn't put it top five. It's a good song, but not one that I
love, either.
#1: This, on the other hand, is a song that I liked before but actually really got into when I listened to it for this rankdown. This
grooves in a way that I didn't remember from when I listened to it before.
#1 in the second RD. I will be very pleasantly surprised if another song tops it.
