Can someone please explain to me what are radio call outs π Itβs a poll based on whether people like radio songs or not. Good call outs usually mean better staying power on the charts. @au$tin wrote a really good write up about them here: pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/133617/callout-scores-threadWhich brings up that there don't appear any new radio callouts today. Probably in support of Blackout Tuesday.

Can we all do our best to not bring politics into this thread. Talking charts and music is one of my peaceful escapes. Thereβs plenty of message boards to discuss whatβs going on. I understand Kanye is music too. But... Just my 2 cents. We obviously can all do whatever, itβs just my hope we can just generally talk music and charts in the Billboard Hot 100 threads. The privilege jumps out of this one I agree with imbondz, there was not necessarily any privilege in his comment, and to slap that label on it is lazy and jumping to conclusions. I feel that whatever side of the political spectrum you're on, the comment can be taken the same way, and that people might come here wishing to not have to deal with that because it can be distressing and triggering to talk about for anyone. For instance, I am a pretty solid liberal, yet agree with him that that discussion went on for a bit too long and derailed things. Kanye West has nothing to do with this week's Hot 100, no songs of his are likely to enter this week, and despite maybe a few protest songs possibly entering and Blackout Tuesday, etc. (none of which were mentioned in that political discussion though), the current protest movements are very remotely related to this week's Hot 100.

does anyone know whether or not data for the interludes on Chromatica will be counted on next week's billboard chart (not like I expect them to chart anyway)

I agree that the discussion belongs somewhere else on the forum, like Kanye's artist thread. However, the reason why Rose "Payola" Nylund pointed out privilege is because you have to be super ignorant and privileged to say "oh, I'm coming on this forum and don't want to see racism discussed" when a whole ass civil unrest is going on to dismantle the white supremacist institution that is the American police. We're all affected by this, even the ones outside of the US from what I can tell, so why do you want to avoid it? Scroll past it and don't respond if you don't want it to go on longer. I'm very happy to be a part of the generation that I'm a part of.

Does anyone know if Diplo pulled any good numbers with his music that dropped last Friday? I feel like I never heard anything about it but he has 2 versions of βHeartlessβ in the top 7 of Country Apple Music at the moment.

Idk why Party Girl is doing well, I have listened to it like 4 times and can not remember how it goes at all. Pretty unmemorable imo.

If HDD's estimate for this week is accurate, then streaming is probably at its record low since 2016 (songs lost about 10% of on-demand streams on average) as very few people seems to listen to music casually during this period even though there are definitely much more people commute on the street now than a couple of weeks ago :sigh.

On another note, its becoming more likely that Rockstar would put out a 'This is America' style of Music Video that sparks the conversation after Dababy's last Instagram post.

The Box didn't gain so clearly the #2 spot on AM is only due to lack of competition.

Speaking of R9, Rihanna's "Good Girl Gone Bad" was released 13 years ago today in the US on June 5th, 2007. What an era, she was only 19 when this was released HIT... after HIT... after HIT! A Classic, Global, Pop era. Her 15 year career has just been marvellous and consistent in every way.

I agree with imbondz, there was not necessarily any privilege in his comment, and to slap that label on it is lazy and jumping to conclusions. Yes this is basically an entertainment thread, a discussion about topics relating to music and entertainment, some may choose this discussion as an escape from world events. In my opinion, nothing wrong with that. I didnβt say there was anything wrong with it. Just commenting on the privilege as the initial comment seemed to try to silence a discussion that related to both entertainment and events happening in the world. Being aware of privilege is an important step, especially considering how some donβt have the option to escape from world events. As long as you can consider yourself lucky that you have that option, knowing that not everyone does. :)

I thought savage just got started on radio π howβd it peak already it has a (-) beside it, indicating that it lost a format. it's still gaining on Pop, and it's barely starting its descent on Rhythmic & Urban. nothing to worry about (yet).
