^Although not definite, it does seem that Savage might have peaked already in radio airplay.

Life is Good is back at #1 in the weekly US YouTube chart, with Rockstar rising 5-2, Party Girl 7-5 and Toosie Slide rebounding 11-9 with a 22.9% weekly gain. Tell Me U Luv Me debuts at #10. Among songs dropping out the top 10, Say So falls 9-12 and Rain on Me 3-15. Finally, if I'm not mistaken, The Box spends it 26th consecutive week in the top 10.

No Guidance spends it's 52nd week on the chart (the longest charting song on the chart currently) and moves to #32 this week, up from #35 last week.

is khalid not ass at singing already? I suppose so. But he sounds like goddamn Mariah Carey compared to those singing robot AIs who go by the name “Surfaces.” I actually kinda like Khalid, he has a lot of good songs. These Sunday Best comparisons are not fair :(

Yes this is basically an entertainment thread, a discussion about topics relating to music and entertainment, some may choose this discussion as an escape from world events. In my opinion, nothing wrong with that. I didn’t say there was anything wrong with it. Just commenting on the privilege as the initial comment seemed to try to silence a discussion that related to both entertainment and events happening in the world. Being aware of privilege is an important step, especially considering how some don’t have the option to escape from world events. As long as you can consider yourself lucky that you have that option, knowing that not everyone does. :) Actually what you’re saying is non-white people don’t have the privilege to say and mean the exact thing I said which is wrong on so many levels. Everyone has the right and ‘privilege’ to say it. This is a stupid chart thread where we talk about the charts. All I said was let’s do our best to not bring politics into it. There’s a million places online you can talk politics.

When I look at all these "one and done" #1s this year it's even more depressing to see that LIG peaked at #2 for eight weeks.

Peaks barely tell how a song or album actually did and we shouldn't focus on them as much.

The Product G&B (10th and final week at #1)02 02 You Sang To Me - Marc Anthony 03 04 Thong Song - Sisqo 04 03 Breathe - Faith Hill 05 06 Be With You - Enrique Iglesias 06 08 Try Again - Aaliyah 07 11 The Real Slim Shady - Eminem 08 07 Everything You Want - Vertical Horizon 09 12 Oops!...I Did It Again - Britney Spears 10 09 I Try - Macy Gray This is a legendary week for chart nerds. Maria Maria got its 10th week at #1 despite being only #8 on Physical Sales and #7 on Radio Songs - probably the weakest metrics performance for a #1 in Hot 100's history. I'm not sure if it was the weakest #1 of all-time by chart points, but it's certainly close to that.

Which reminds me, wasn't Try Again the first song to reach #1 only on airplay points and even then its airplay numbers weren't unusually high?

June 17, 199505 NE Scream - Michael & Janet Jackson The ultimate proof that a superstar collaboration doesn't guarantee a smash hit. It's hard to believe Janet & MJ at the height of their celebrity status would miss #1, let alone top 3 altogether. It also had even the 'most expensive music video ever' hyping it. The fact it also did badly at radio, and peaked at #20 on Top 40 altogether is even more surprising. More times than not a superstar collab fails to meet success expectations most people have actually. (Mariah/Whitney, Taylor/Ed, Beyonce/Eminem, Cardi B/Post Malone, Madonna/Britney, etc)

What if radio gets recalibrated again this week like it has the past two weeks? Because I feel like if that happens, that may give "ROCKSTAR" the edge over "Savage" this week. I guess we'll see.
