I didnt know where to mention this. Not only is South of the Border playing nonstop on the radio in my country, it hasnt burned the least on me so far. Also as the time goes by I think the collaboration album by Ed Sheeran is his most versatile and enjoyable so far :)

Exactly. Not EVERY song by a major artist will be a smash hit. Drake's songs with PARTYNEXTDOOR typically don't chart high or long enough. Won't Be Late is another example. A more recent example is Oprah's Bank Account, a Lil Yatchy song with BOTH Drake and DaBaby. It was released with a video but it underperformed.

TKN is obviously doing great for a Rosalía song in the US, but not great for a song with Travis on it. That's all I meant.

When he was in the lead, "Chopstix" "Power Is Power" "Antisocial" and "Out West" all charted in the lower ranks. 

"TKN" isn't doing poorly "for a song with Travis on it." You have abnormally high expectations for an artist that has 3 one-week #1 hits, 2 of which were collaborations. Combine that with the fact that "TKN" isn't even a hiphop collaboration, and there is your answer. No reasonable chart-follower would expect this to be a smash out of the gate.

I've already said that not every song with a major artist on it will be a smash hit. I never expected it to debut in the top 10 of the Hot 100 and in terms of it underperforming, I meant more so on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. It hasn't debuted on the Hot 100 yet. I expected it to peak higher and have more longevity on those platforms than it did. I had really low expectations when Rosalía posted a snippet of the song because I thought no parts of the song would be in English, but Travis' verse is in English so I hoped it'd perform better. I'm only disappointed because I like the song and I wanted it to do well.

I love everything she's released so far. All her singles and her two albums. The only thing she's been on that I didn't care for was the Highest in the Room remix.

I wonder why she hasn't been able to break into the US like Bad Bunny and J Balvin have. Her music is just as good, maybe even better. I think this Travis collab is the first real step into her making a conscious effort into breaking into the US. It'll take some time for it to really happen for her. I'd really love it if her singles weren't so short.
