Samo: This was a very strong group of songs, to the point that this is my lowest score. For an instrumental track this is pretty good, just not something I see myself returning to. (7.2)


Albie: Yass nailed it. This is the exact sound here. Plus this is a fave. (9.0)

Adrian: I'm not sure if I've heard this before. It's okay. I think it's kind of hard for me to form a solid opinion on an instrumental track that's only two and a half minutes. It sounds nice I guess. That's really the only compliment I can give it. (7.4)

Nick: this one’s a banger! It’s also really well written and paints a pretty interesting picture. Kendrick delivers a very strong performance, as does MC Eiht. I’m a little surprised that this wasn’t a single, as I remember hearing a lot about it when it first came out, but I guess it’s all the more impressive that this song made such an impact without being a single! Samo: Like Kendrick’s other song in this group, the lyrics are fantastic, as you’d expect, I just don’t enjoy it as much as I want to. (8.3)

Leaf: I've never been crazy about Kendrick's vocals, so luckily the lyrical content and beat help to carry this. (7.6)

Trilogy: It's m.A.A.d City by Kendrick Lamar. Nothing says important like this. It's mindful as it's bangable. (9.5)

Nick: never really loved this track. it’s good and all, but I don’t think it stands out as being particularly special, which is a little disappointing considering how good a collab between Troye and Ariana could’ve been. it’s still a nice little chill track, but eh, not super memorable (6.7)

Samo: I really wanted to like this more, but it’s underwhelming for Troye and Ariana, who’ve both made great songs in the past. I really like the pre-chorus, but the chorus falls flat for me, and I’m really not a fan of the bridge. (7.1)


Albie: sigh, I wanted this whole album to be better and I’m mad someone reminded me. (7.0)

Adrian: I love Troye Sivan and I've been a fan ever since "Happy Little Pill", but this has always been my least favorite single from him. It's not bad by any means, but it's mostly boring and I don't like saying that about his music. But this was from the Bloom era, which had jams like "My My My" and the title track. So compared to those, I just thought this one fell flat. Troye still sounds good and I don't mind Ariana here although I feel that her feature is unnecessary. But unlike most of his other songs, I did not come back to this one a while after it was released. It does fit the theme though. (6.9)

Nick: this song has a very grandiose feel to it. I like the beat, and I think the use of autotune is pretty cool. Its definitely not one of my favorites from Kanye, but I still dig it a fair amount. (8.0)

Samo: 808s & Heartbreak is an album I want to like way more than I do, and this only adds to that opinion. The melodies are good here, and I really enjoy Kid Cudi’s chorus, but Kanye’s vocals aren’t my favourite here. (7.7)

Leaf: 808s is probably his album I am most familiar with, and this has always been one of my favourites. The instrumental perfectly sets the mood of the song. (9.3)

Trilogy: Everything in this song is great, especially the chorus, which is the best aspect of the song. Summiting stuff. (9.0)

gabe: I don’t really have any complaints about this song but nothing really stood out to me either. It was an enjoyable listen but it just didn’t get me excited or feeling some type of way about the song. Simple (7.5)

Nick: I really enjoyed the Donna Summer song that got sent last season, so I was quite looking forward to hearing this one! and damn it did not disappoint! this is a jam and a half, and one I’ll defiantly be re-visiting more in the future! (9.2)

Samo: I’d first like to thank Nick for introducing me to this version of the song, which I think I like even more than the single version. This is still a fantastic song though, and one of my absolute favourite disco songs. (9.9)

Adrian: This is fun! I like a lot of what I've heard from Donna Summer and this song is no different. The production here is really good and I love the strong disco vibe it gives off. Nick: of all the Gaga songs you could’ve picked…it’s not bad per se. but like, she has so many better tracks haha. I get the appeal of the gaudiness of it all, but like I just don’t really like this song much. I find the chorus irritating and the verses aren’t anything I couldn’t hear in a better Gaga song. that’s kinda the problem with this whole song: the bad bits are really bad, and she’s done the good bits so much better in other songs. (4.5)

Samo: This is...kind of a mess, and one of my least favourites on its album. It certainly sounds like a Gaga song, but where a lot of songs on Born This Way were able to create an enjoyable pop song from the messier electronic influences, this one doesn’t really succeed at that. The pre-chorus is good, but the chorus is just annoying. (6.1)

Leaf: I think I was more on the fence about this song than any of the others. I think the production is pretty good, but, at times, also borderline...over the top? In any case, it definitely has Gaga's signature sound, which isn't a bad thing. (7.4)

Trilogy: The shock value Gaga had to rely on during this era... this is one of her weaker songs for sure, it's empowering sure but it doesn't amount to that much for me. (5.5)

gabe: It really makes me sad to see that this was submitted when there are so many better Gaga songs you could have submitted. Safe to say that this remained an album track for a reason. The first ~45 seconds of this song are useless and boring. I don’t like the man talking in the chorus, Gaga sounds off, it’s a trainwreck. (3.0)

Dance To This is one of those chill pop songs that kinda doesn't really go anywhere but is still a pleasant listen
Troye's done better though
