kamala 2024 truther's predictions are correct so far!! ;) "Stay A Little Longer" is far and away one of the best things Brothers Osborne have ever done. But, like, top 10 over "Why Not Me", "It's Your Call", "Piece Of My Heart", "When You Walk In The Room", etc? I'm not sold on the idea, tbh... Good for them though!

If there was such a thing as a Pulse Country Rankdown Hall of Fame "A Little Bit Stronger" would most certainly be included. Jo Dee's "I'm Alright" would also be another song that would be in there.

I honestly was not expecting Brothers Osborne to make the top ten especially given the stiff competition in these rankdowns.

Aaaaand now they are very much not so "On A Bus To St Cloud" is a beautiful song. Definitely seems to be a fan favorite! It wasn't quite able to beat the iconic "XXXs and OOOs" to win her album rankdown, but it is still well-loved, as evidenced by it being able to make the top 10 in this stacked rankdown despite being a bit of a more obscure song!

"On a Bus to St. Cloud" has been one of my favorite songs from Trisha ever since I first heard it when the album came out way back in 1995. I was always saddened by the fact that it wasn't a bigger hit for her at the time, but it does make me happy to see it receive so much love and support from Pulse!

I also must add that I wasn't even aware "On a Bus to St. Cloud" was about suicide until sometime earlier this year as for some reason I always thought it was about a long lost love, which I guess in a sense it is.

I could see a Reba/Kacey/Miranda top 3 with Reba being #1.
I think Ashley and Tim will be 4 & 5.

Wait hold on...that's an incredible rankdown idea!!! It'd be amazing to get the biggest forces in country rankdown history together for an epic bloodbath. It'd be like Best of the Best but on steroids the winner could be crowned the Ultimate Best or something like that. Just something to ruminate on. ;)

Yea that thought has actually crossed my mind before, but that would be in bboat11 's hands for sure and might be something to consider further on down the road. I'm not sure we're at a point yet where something like this is doable, but I think it'd be fun to. Other songs that are probably close to that type of rankdown status would be Jo Dee's "Bye Bye" (on top of "I'm Alright"), George's "Carrying Your Love With Me", Lee Ann's "I'll Think of a Reason Later", Cam's "Burning House", Alabama's "I'm in a Hurry (And Don't Know Why)", Brooks & Dunn's "Neon Moon", Deana's "Strawberry Wine", Trisha's "Walkaway Joe", etc. Anyways, I'm not sure what the criteria would be exactly but it's something worth exploring at a later time.

kamala 2024 truther now that it's fresh in my mind it might be something to consider doing on like the 5 year anniversary of the first country randkown (which I believe was sometime in early 2017 but I could be mistaken). Anyways, I'm sure there are mixed thoughts on even doing a rankdown such as that. edit: I looked back and I think it was the 2016 Year-End Country Rankdown and was launched in December, 2016.

Some Nights- It was great to see it make it so far! Definitely would've been such a better single over The Weight of the Badge. I feel like it doing so well here is redemption for that. Nothin' Better to Do- Well... I LOVE LeAnn. But the song, while I don't hate it, is one of my least favorite singles of her career. I'm still completely mindblown at it getting #2 in her singles rankdown. 😂 Why Not Me- So close to the top ten! Such a classic song that I loved growing up with. Just thinking about it makes me want to pull out and listen to some old Judds classics. On a Bus to St. Cloud - I feel bad because even after learning how beloved it was in the Trisha rankdown, it couldn't compete with all the other second placers that I had actual passion for. :/ Yall please don't summon the ghost of the guy to haunt me. Rooting for Miranda, Tim, Lorrie.... and ofcourse Reba for the ultimate win! Fancy has no business being in a Revenge rankdown instead of a Best to begin with, if something like Rainbow beats it and it still doesn't get it's #1...

All of these songs and you didn't even list "Independence Day" What a flop! "Whiskey Lullaby" would definitely be one too!! And Sara's "A Real Fine Place To Start" and "Born To Fly", honestly. Also kamala 2024 truther the biggest problem I can think of with a rankdown like that is that some of those songs have already been ranked so much already that they are feeling quite tired. So I agree with tim that it might be a good idea to mark some kind of special occasion, like the 5 year anniversary of rankdowns or something, but it would certainly not be something that we could do very often!

"Rainbow" is a beautiful song!! Certainly one of my favorites from Kacey Musgraves. It is so positive and uplifting, plus easy to listen to I am glad it's leaving now though, because like ClevelandRox said there are songs that deserve to win more (Like "Fancy" for once, Jesus Christ!!)

Welp, just like last time, Lorrie was a strong top 5 contender for almost the entire submission process before getting tanked.... Fortunately this time she was only tanked out of the top 5 though and not entirely out of the top 15 "Five Minutes" is ICONIC!!!! It's one of those songs that I would not hesitate to put in a playlist of the absolute MOST iconic songs of the entire '90s decade in country music. I'm thrilled to see it be relatively well-loved here.

Glad to see Lorrie make it this far as it was really only a rankdown I launched kind of on a whim. “Five Minutes” is such an iconic song that has stood the test of time and I’m thrilled that we got to highlight her work as she remains a rather underrated artist.

It ended up being one of my favorite artist rankdowns of the last eligibility period, for sure

The Judd songs have similar qualities to me so they should be eliminated closer to each other.

This is a great top 5! I’m definitely hoping for Reba to take it (with “Fancy”), but every song is great. As much as I love “Sparrow”, it seems a little out of place here, so I’d be good with it going next.

“Tell Me Why” is yet another iconic song from the ‘90s that still receives an ample amount of airplay to this day. I had considered including this song for the 90’s Women of Country rankdown, but knowing that it would be a favorite in a future Wynonna Judd rankdown I decided against it. I’m a bit surprised, though, that this wasn’t able to make the top five. Speaking of...
Here are my predictions for the Top 5:
5. New Strings 4. Where the Green Grass Grows 3. Sparrow 2. Fancy 1. The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter

For our final bonus song before we kick off the top 5, we are going to honor a VERY special song. This song is so special because it actually got stuck at #2 in our previous Revenge rankdown That's right, "I Just Wanna Be Mad" was in our previous Revenge rankdown due to finishing at #2 in Terri Clark's artist rankdown, and when it finally had its chance to get revenge, it got stuck at #2 yet again!!! It would have been awesome to see it win, but then again, I am not upset about it because Martina's "When God-Fearin' Women Get The Blues" was the one that beat it, and I feel like that one was even more overdue :) I am pretty confident we can look for this one to probably join the hall of Rankdown Winners soon anyway now that Terri's album series has started! I'd be shocked if it doesn't manage to win the Pain To Kill album rankdown!
Bonus: "I Just Wanna Be Mad" - Terri Clark
Finished at #2 in the: Revenge of the Best - Pt. III rankdown (Host: bboat11)
