Billboard now publishing the magazine every 4 to 6 weeks. Only charts inside are Hot 100 and Billboard 200. No real point, is there? saving paper & cutting on publishing costs? |

Surely they ARE NOT all among top 20 hits of all time, at least. Billboard utilizes a weighted all time chart. Mediatraffic does not. That’s why with more users listening to songs, the points go up. That’s why recent songs get very high rankings on mediatraffic. Bigger population and easier access to music (streaming) allows for higher point tallies. Yeah the newer songs are not comparable to older songs |

They changed radio's impact again? Blinding Lights went up on radio even though it's losing audience in mediabase. That's probably why Circles re-entered the top 10

8 artists in the top ten this week who had never charted just a year or two ago. Veterans are probably holding out releasing until they can tour again but interesting to see so many newer artists doing well right now. Wonder how many will have career longevity and become superstars?

This makes people love the songs for the songs, not for the artists. Hopefully artists take advantage of this and promote more frequently and diligently so they make their names known. |
