It's their first release since 2001, the title track to their EP which is coming out on September 18th.
I like it on first listen, and it does feel appropriate for the current times, though it was written a few years ago.
AAA does seem like the best format for this, but maybe it could get a little bit of Alt attention? "Closing Time" is still a popular gold track.

This sounds like Semisonic, alright. Alt will probably pass this up like they did with everything after “Closing Time”, but I would like for it to do something.

This is a band name I wasn’t expecting to hear of again! My fav of theirs has always been “Chemistry”. But yeah I hope AAA can give it a little action. Fiona Apple charted after a pretty long absence so maybe another case of that? Also Dan Wilson has racked up a good deal of amazing writing credits in the interim (including Adele’s “Someone Like You”).

Intro sounds like one of their hits. Download/check cuz this comes from the good side of 90's music. Why couldn't Third Eye Blind comeback with something like this?

This song isn't anything new but it's very pleasant and I think something like this with a stronger hook could be what it takes to bring this style of rock back to a more mainstream audience. I could see something like this being a big go-to summertime song.

Semisonic really does have a timeless sound to them, and that really helps this song out. Really strong from a songwriting standpoint. You can hear why their frontman has written so many hits for other artists when you listen to this... and at the same time I'm glad he chose to keep this one for Semisonic.

Liked this on first listen but it completely clicked on the second listen. So excited to have them back. Feeling Strangely Fine and Great Divide are 2 of my favorite albums of all time (FSF is top 10) and played a huge role in shaping my musical taste. It's a crime to me that "Singing In My Sleep" wasn't as big as "Closing Time." Cannot wait for this new album!

Ok. I have heard the song now. It's even better than I expected. Not "Singing in My Sleep" awesome, but very very good. I really missed these guys. Really wish this would go for adds to Alt.

Yes, it would be awesome to see them return after a little over 19 years. Seriously, 2020 is the year of comebacks.

Their EP is out and it's absolutely fantastic. "Basement Tapes" should the next single but honestly all but one of the songs could be singles
