Whatever she releases will get eaten by radio I feel. Her last single did moderately OK on radio considering it got zero traction elsewhere but at some point if the flops keep coming they will move on (see also: Alessia Cara and Meghan Trainor). Wasn't Good As Hell her last single?

Wasn't Good As Hell her last single? ”Cuz I Love You” was (inexplicably) released as the pop radio follow up to “Good As Hell”. I think it peaked at #19.

don't remember them mentioning this record ever before but it'll get an update next week. rip to both pop and juice, wish they were here to see their impact. Well its a weird record, X's first posthumous album only had 10 songs and Mac's only had 12. Pop Smoke having more songs obviously gave him an advantage for the record. That's not to understate Pop's albums success, it did very well These kind of "records" are the most obvious examples of all the wrong streaming era has done for HIT charts. More songs one releases at once, the more "hits" one gets. As if the album's impact is automatically bigger if it has 20 songs compared to 13.

First Ballin peaked at #11 and now The Woo will almost certainly peak at #11. Poor Roddy Ricch can't get a break when it comes to adding new top 10s to his record. The irony is that his biggest hit has 11 weeks at #1.

I think the reason that song underperformed so much was because Lizzo's label thought that only posting on Tiktok and social media was the key to getting hits. That song got literally 0 promotion except on TikTok. Atlantic got cocky. I have no clue why they didn't just continue to promote Juice after the success of GAH and Truth Hurts. That song was literally perfect for the GP

Memories dropping out means it'll barely miss the Top 10 of the year-end list! Adore You, Intentions, Savage and ROCKSTAR will overtake it.

I missed the BENEE talk but yeah I really think she could have a successful future, Supalonely is no indicator of her talent, songs like Monsta and Glitter show the true greatness of her Excited for the new song, maybe it could achieve some success

Notable #91 - How You Like That Isn't it strange that this and On, while reaching new highs, are more front loaded songs than Kill this Love and Boy Wity Luv and will only last 2 weeks? This may be an indication of that Kpop is dying as a trend in the US but fans are getting more rabid.

Personally, I don’t think KPOP will really be a major mainstream genre in the USA. You can look at the popularity of Reggaeton, it didn’t really have maintained mainstream success (aside from couple of hits here and there) and that’s considering there are way more latin-speaking citizens than korean-speaking ones.

I feel like BLACKPINK might have more staying power than BTS though. HYLT is still in the Top 100 on Spotify, it hasn't dipped yet, whereas many of the BTS songs and side-projects lasted less than a week.

Her pop radio callout scores describe her popularity well. Those that like her, LOVE her, and those that dislike her HATE her. Some hate her because they feel self empowerment is cliche, some hate her because she wears ugly butt cut out dresses (cmOn girl), and some hate her because she is fat (like my brother - he exclusively refers to her as the “fat lady/girl/woman”, and every time, I say “you know her name”). basically, she has a really high SD.

How many weeks did The Bones spend in the Top 20? The Bones first entered the Top 20 on the chart date February 15, 2020 and only left one time (March 21, 2020). The song has been in the Top 20 for 21 weeks thus far. Chart run since February 15, 2020: 18-18-19-19-19-23-17-17-14-12-13-13-15-15-14-14-13-14-13-15-13-17 Thanks! It hangs on for another week at the top 20!

This seems wrong? I mean yeah, there aren't that many huge reggaeton hits out there, but the genre as a whole is still pretty mainstream. In fact, back in 2018, BuzzAngle reported that Latin music is more popular than country in terms of sales and streaming consumption. Maybe that has changed since then, but still, it does show you that reggaeton is pretty damn popular in the US.
