Climbing up four points to #49. This one did make an appearance in the Top 35 briefly at the beginning, but kept drifting downward from there. Once again, five of us ranked this Bottom 10.

Three more points up is #48. It briefly made an early appearance in the Top 40. I’m surprised that this finished at this point being that only two of us ranked this Bottom 5.

I know most of you don’t like pop-punk, but I wasn’t expecting this one to finish in the Bottom 5 at all. It’s a pretty harmless song, but ::shrugs:: This finished with the lowest SD too.
Ultimate Fakebook came out with their first album this year since 2002, so I at least was glad to see them back. Even if the album wasn’t anything mind-blowing.

One more point up to reach #47. There is a bit of a contrast in rankings. This was our #50 up until the last submission, which I found surprising looking back since three people ranked this out of their Bottom 10.

After my first listen of this rankdown, I think I had this in my Top 30. However, after another listen, my opinion changed quite a bit as you can see below. It has a very interesting Irish punk/ska sound, but I’m not surprised that three of you also put this very low.

Now we really break away from the last reveal as #46 finishes 18 points higher up. There is a massive contrast here too as five of you ranked this Bottom 5 and two ranked this in their Top 20. This never broke out of the Bottom 10 overall.

I believe this is the final symphonic metal song on this rankdown, so it’s pretty clear that this group wanted no part of them as they all go out in the Bottom 5. I guess you can say that Nightwish is just “Noise” to five of you

This also has the fourth highest SD on the rankdown.

Rising up six points, we have our first tie in this rankdown for #42. The loser does have a top ranking in the Top 15, but still ends up being on the bottom side. I believe that this is also the first reveal with no Bottom 5 rankings. This was in the Top 30 briefly too.

Finally settled home so I can leave some comments! Overall a pretty good start. {Spoiler} 50. Golden Pariahs (45): I feel like the instrumental for this was overall very cool and enjoyable. I mainly ranked it low because it felt a bit "cheesy" sounding, for lack of better terms. 49. The Rabbit Of The Moon (40): Honestly, pretty much the same comment as above. It is pretty catchy, just not my absolute favorite. 48. This Unfrozen Girl (39): I do enjoy pop punk a decent amount, so this had its moments for me. Overall though, it didn't catch my attention too much, especially compared to other songs here. 47. My Darling Dopamine (49): I like the soft element of Irish punk in this, but I just really couldn't get into the vocals here. 46. Noise (46): I feel like I was waiting for this to click with me more, I guess I kind of wish there was a bit more for me to connect to here. 45. Lightning Riders (38): This would hook me a lot more without the scream part near the chorus. I did like the verses of this a decent amount. 44. They Burned Our Paintings (47): I swear I want to get into music like this more, and I do try, but I've just never been huge on like screaming in songs. 43. Fishing (43): I probably could have ranked this a bit higher tbh. 42. Gravity's Used (50): His voice reminds me of Fall Out Boy... 41. Cape Henlopen (22): Obviously this is my highest loss this set. This just has a nice vibe to it, definitely something I can see myself listening to more often.

With this song being the winner of the tie for #40, I found the band’s name as Big Loser funny.
Anyway, I’m surprised that I ranked as low as I did while re-listening to it again. It’s not a bad song by any means while having a pop-punk/power pop sound. Just didn’t stick out enough for me I guess. Maybe the band should have been optimists instead.
