So... the points have been counted and Lana Del Rey rankdown can begin!
First of all BIG thank you to these 10 pulse members for their lists@greento spiritboy YourFaveIsAFlop Keelzit samo🦕 BB🌕 born taylor Ty willapted33 and I am 11th @phillippe Five interesting things about the rankdown: ~ there are 9 different #1 songs out of 11 lists! ~ #1 song does not have ANY number 1 placements! ~ last song is the only song that several people placed it at the same position ~ songs at #1, 2 & 3 are from different albums ~ difference in points between #1 and #40 is 237 points
And... at the bottom of the rankdown with 116 points and 5 perfect rankings, but also a top 3 loss is
#40 Don't Call Me Angel
Don't Call Me Angel was released on September 13, 2019, by Republic Records, as the lead single from the soundtrack to the film Charlie's Angels. The song reached number one in Greece, Hungary, Scotland, Iceland, Lebanon and Israel as well as the top five in eleven other countries. The song debuted at number thirteen on the Billboard Hot 100 chart becoming Del Rey's third top 20 song. The song also became Del Rey's highest charting song since "Summertime Sadness", which reached number six in 2013. The track started at number two on the Digital Songs chart with 26,000 downloads sold within its first week, and number eleven on the Streaming Songs chart with 26.3 million streams. With 7.5 million airplay audience impressions, Don't Call Me Angel also debuted at number 33 on the Mainstream Top 40 following a complete tracking week.

p.s. Maybe some will notice, but I deleted several of my reminder posts so that the rankdown can begin on page 2. I think that would be easier for everyone to follow.

This second reveal will be also my last for today. At 39 we have a song from Honeymoon album with 2 perfect rankings and 3 top 20 losses. #39 Freak 130 pointsA music video for the song was released on February 9, 2016 and features Del Rey, Father John Misty, Chuck Grant and the girls from The Honeymoon Sampler and Music to Watch Boys To who were featured earlier in the film in a swimming pool as Claude Debussy's "Clair de Lune" plays. The video was directed by Del Rey herself. Song only charted on US alternative digital chart and it peaked at #17.@greento - 18 YourFaveIsAFlop - 27 Keelzit - 25 spiritboy - 39samo🦕 - 36 BB🌕 - 33 born - 16 taylor - 39willapted33 - 34 Ty - 37 @phillippe - 17 Be free to say what do you think it will be #1. Which songs you expect to see in top 5 or top 10. Which songs you expect to exit next? I will continue the rankdown tomorrow
BONUS:
Freak Like Me (Demo Version) If you do not know it - listen. Much better than album version (at least for me).
And with every reveal, I will add a bonus which will be one of her unreleased songs or demo versions I like - since I had an idea to do unreleased rankdown too.

~ #1 song does not have ANY number 1 placements!
Thank you for ruining it from the get go! Not surprised at the early sashay of DCMA. I only took into account Lana's part, not the song overall, which is why it crept its way into my top 20. Freak, on the other hand, yes it's nothing great but I thought the godly transition to THE Art Deco would give it some sympathy points.

~ #1 song does not have ANY number 1 placements!
Thank you for ruining it from the get go! haha... no...that is a fun fact. Really, maybe someone who follows rankdowns can say if there ever was a #1 song that did not get any #1's from anyone. Also, seeing 9 different #1's says how actually wide is the taste of Lana's fans and casual listeners. Going into this I thought that 1 particular album or maybe 2 will dominate, but it is totally not true. Also, before this rankdown, I would bet that one particular song would be - if not #1 but top 3 for sure - and... it turned out it is not even in top 10! That was really really a big surprise Oh wow that is a lot of bottom 10 ranks. Some months ago, Freak would be lower for me too. I started to appreciate it more when demo version leaked. Which I recommend for all to listen in the post above

@phillippe Hey, do you mind putting that .gif at the bottom of the "Don't Call Me Angel" post in a spoiler with a seizure warning? My eyes started to wig out when I scrolled past that, and I'm sure I'm not the only former epilepsy sufferer who's reading this thread.

"Don't Call Me Angel" is the definition of a disappointment...so needless to say it goes to the dead bottom.
Not a fan of "Freak" because the lyric is very basic. Also some of the production choices are not my cup of tea, including her off-key harmony during the chorus. Overall, this is a dud to me.

#33 Terrence Loves You164 points And as I said, we have the very 1st #1 loss with this song. Terrence Loves You is a song for Lana's album Honeymoon (2015). It was released as the album's first promotional single on August 21, 2015. Written by Del Rey and Rick Nowels, the song has been described as hypnotic by Rolling Stone magazine, with Del Rey singing over piano, strings, and a saxophone. The song contains an interpolation of the song "Space Oddity" by English singer-songwriter David Bowie from his eponymous second studio album. Del Rey stated that the song is her favorite from Honeymoon, describing it as jazzy. The song hit #128 in France, #188 in UK and #8 at US alternative digital charts.taylor - 1 Ty - 35 willapted33 - 22 BB🌕 - 37 born - 25 @greento - 24 YourFaveIsAFlop - 39 Keelzit - 22 spiritboy - 28 samo🦕 - 24 @phillippe - 30 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
