#2 Ride 342 pointsRide is a song by Lana Del Rey from her third extended play (EP), Paradise (2012). The song was written by Lana Del Rey and Justin Parker, while produced by Rick Rubin, the song served as the reissue's first single on September 25, 2012 through Interscope Records. Ride received critical acclaim from music critics, who compared Del Rey's vocals with that of Adele and Brandon Flowers of The Killers. While only a modest hit in the United States (21# on US hot rock songs), Switzerland (#20), Ireland (#35), and France (#56), the song reached #9 in Russia and #3/6 in Belgium. The accompanying music video for Ride was directed by Anthony Mandler, and was released on October 12, 2012. Del Rey's role in the video was compared to Lolita and A Streetcar Named Desire. The monologue treatment at the start and end of the video met polarized opinion. The song also has an official EP with remixes.BB🌕 - 1 @phillippe - 3 born -3 samo🦕 - 5 Ty - 7 YourFaveIsAFlop - 9 willapted33 - 12 Keelzit - 16 @greento - 17 spiritboy - 17 taylor - 19~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

#1 Born To Die 353 points
I guess many seen this one coming at the top! The title track from her now iconic Born To Die album.Born to Die is a song by Lana Del Rey, taken from her debut studio album of the same name. The song was released as the singer's second single on December 30, 2011, through Interscope Records. Musically, Born to Die is a ballad that speaks of a doomed relationship. Critics noted that it features apocalyptic lyrics and strings similar to John Barry compositions. It received mixed to positive reception from contemporary critics, who considered it as haunting as, yet similar to, Del Rey's previous single Video Games. In 2019, Billboard included the song as one of the 100 songs that defined the 2010s, adding that it influenced "a sonic shift that completely changed the pop landscape". In the United Kingdom, Born to Die became Del Rey's second top 10 single, when it peaked at No. 9 for the week ending February 4, 2012. The song also peaked at #10 in Austria, #13 in France, #8 in Israel, #15 in Italy, #9 in Portugal, #10 in Scotland, #13 in Swiss and #2 on Serbia's airplay chart. The song was promoted with a music video, directed by Yoann Lemoine (also known as Woodkid), that portrays Del Rey in an unstable relationship with her boyfriend, played by model Bradley Soileau, as they go on a car trip that results in her death. At the 2012 UK Music Video Awards, Born to Die won the "Best Pop – International Video" award, outranking her other songs Blue Jeans and National Anthem which were also nominees. Critical reception for the video was generally positive.
As I said in my 1st post before revealing, though this song is at #1, it does not have any #1 placements!@phillippe - 2 @greento - 3 Ty - 3 YourFaveIsAFlop - 4 spiritboy - 4 born - 6 willapted33 - 8 samo🦕 - 13 taylor - 17 BB🌕 - 17 Keelzit - 21~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“Born To Die” was the first song I heard from Lana and it has remained one of my favorites. I had no idea that it is well liked here too, I mean, enough to finish first.
Thank you for hosting!

This was so fun because, as evident by the outcome, Lana's such a prolific and diverse artist that each fan has a different set of favorite tracks. Meh winner but it was expected tbh. I did not put it in my top 20 because I never listen to it anymore but it's i.c.o.n.i.c regardless.

#3 - Doin' Time
I really like this song although maybe its position does not reflect that. But Lana has so many gems! This song is one of my most listened to songs from 2019!
#2 - Ride This song has been my #1 song by Lana for quite some time - well probably until I heard White Mustang. I remember listening to video version while I was in the desert of Morocco - just listening to this song on repeat and looking at the million stars in the sky.
#1 - Born To Die This was the 2nd song ever I heard by Lana. Video Games is the 1st. At that time - early 2012 - you could just not escape Lana in France. She was on every radio. I also remember that at first I did not even wanna hear about her as everyone was talking about her. But yeah... French radio did what it did... I fell in love with Video Games, then Born to Die, Blue Jeans and after that I was officially a fan!
also, I remember while running from the gate to the stage at Lolapalooza Paris festival... I was singing : Feet don't fail me now... coz running 2 kilometers to get to be closest to the stage is NOT easy! Especially when you are not used to running. Anyway... I was in 1st/2nd line.

Yeah, I didn't think anything other than "Born To Die" was gonna take this. Glad to see the correct iconic song won!
