My major market radio station KTTS Springfield Missouri just announced “Forever After All” as the newest single.

Considering that only two other artists have started their careers with 10 consecutive charttoppers in the 36-year history of Mediabase, Mr. Combs is definitely in exclusive company alongside fellow country star Carrie Underwood and 90s top 40 megastar Mariah Carey.
Congrats, Luke!!!

5 weeks at #1 on Billboard. When this goes recurrent it’ll be interesting to see where it falls in Joel Whitburn’s all time top 100.

The next single is “Forever After All” and it goes for adds on 3/8. I like that song but I was kinda hoping for “Cold As You” or “1,2 Many” to be next. This news most likely means neither of those songs will see the light of day as singles.
I kinda wonder if this choice just comes down to timing of when he wants to release his third studio album. If he released “Cold As You” that would take up another 4 months on the chart (even if it were to move up super quick) and this song would take another 4 months which brings us to October. He may want to put out a lead single before November-ish.

Would have loved to see one of those two upbeat songs next even though I think Forever After All is a really great tune. This made me think, how many #1’s has Luke left as album cuts? More than any artist in my recent memory. He’s also the biggest radio star in recent memory, but that is all built on substance and depth.

Sure, it's a decent song. But does it deserve 5 weeks of #1? Maybe not. Does it deserve #1 over Kelsea? Absolutely not.

That's what "The Great Divide" was all about...it's a song that will be featured on this bluegrass album, and then he'll get to work on LC3. At least that's what I thought, because I know I saw rbundy1987 post about that (and I think it was in this very thread).

Tay, I did post about the Bluegrass album on Upcoming Albums - 2021 and did say his new album will be coming out before his Bluegrass that is put on hold til as his next CD is his 3rd album and will be out sometime later this year. The Bluegrass release will come later on.

In that case, I'd be shocked if he didn't have his lead for the third album out by CMA time.

Has a video been released of him and Maren speaking at CRS (over webcam)? I've been reading articles about it, so I'd like to see the video at some point.
