Quick thoughts in the new big singles:
Wonder sounds like Imagine Dragon sequence trailer music, and the video matches it
Levitating is cool. DaBaby rides the beat nicely. Still would've preferred the original but if this becomes a top 10 hit. I won't complain.
The synth on Don't Stop is insane and I love it. Megan using PC Music synths is great and she's hilarious on the song.
And the Savage Love remix...exists.

Savage Mode II already a classic. Idc about Kelsea or Ghali or Pop Smoke, thatβs the best album of 2020 by far.

some thoughts:
Wonder is good... but itβs a Harry Styles song & video. Iβm sure itβll be heard across retail stores through 2021 lol.
Donβt Stop is great. Meg brought the BUDGET for this. Fun song, fun video. Canβt wait to hear a full album.
Lie Like This is the best solo song from Julia Michaels since... Issues? itβs a neat playlist filler, as of tonight.
Levitating Remix is fun. The opening threw me off a bit but DaBabyβs verse itself is good. iβm ok with this or the solo version being a third #1 on CHR for Future Nostalgia.
Not Another Love Song is chill, but iβm not convinced itβll be a hit for Ella Mai just yet. Sounds like a promo single to me.
Still Have Me is boring. I want Demi to BRING IT not sing me to sleep lol.
Bet You Wanna sounds like a hit. Donβt care for Lovesick Girls much.

I feel like we're going to have another 30-page thread again like with the Say So vs. Savage week, only this time it's gonna be a three-way battle.
Wonder vs. Savage Love vs. Mr. Right Now. The first two are going to be reliant on their sales while 21 Savage and Drake are going to eat stream on AM and Spotify. I'm also expecting a big album bomb for Savage Mode II. I think BP will get two debuts, Lovesick Girls (with the YouTube and album streams it could debut Top 10 but we'll see) - and Bet You Wanna with Cardi.
Whatever happens, it's going to get destructive, expect some songs to miss the year-end thanks to this week alone.

This is especially weird because I just checked the AM album chart and the original Savage Mode EP (which dropped in 2016) is at #42, meanwhile Savage Mode 2 is no where to be found (Bryson Tiller's album is #1). Savage Mode 2 is available on Apple Music so it's really confusing. It should be the album dominating AM now, but so far Bryson Tiller's album is. |

LSG seems to be meant for Korea (outdated EDM music, more sing songy chorus) while Bet You Wanna is being pushed more to American audiences (more playlisting, Cardi B). Blackpink is a Kpop girl group so it makes sense to cater to Korea first and foremost. |
