^Not gonna lie, the Future remix was trash during my first listen. Let's see if it grows on me. It sounds like they made the instrumental quieter, that’s where they messed up, also probably should’ve removed Thug and extended Travis.

Travis released a year old song he made with Bryson Tiller called "Blunt Talk". It was released on his ".WAV" Apple Music show.

I don’t think that Billboard would’ve counted this as the same song. Also his fans wanted M.I.A out and not Young Thug.

Can we talk about how unsettling the Franchise single artwork is. All those dismembered eyes and teeth.

I don't mind Sofia being Clairo's breakthrough hit. Let's hope TikTok can bring this song in new heights.

After the death of Eddie Van Halen on Oct. 6, the band Van Halen, which he co-founded, saw its catalog of albums and songs post a 6,198% sales increase in the U.S. that same day.
According to initial sales reports to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, Van Halen’s collected albums and songs sold 40,000 copies on Oct. 6 -- up 6,198% compared to just under 1,000 sold on Oct. 5.
Looking just at the band’s album sales, the act’s catalog sold 9,000 copies on Oct. 6 (up by 5,835% compared to a negligible sum on Oct. 5). The act’s top-selling album on Oct. 6 was its self-titled 1978 debut, with 2,000 sold.
In terms of songs, the group sold 31,000 tracks on Oct. 6 -- up 6,317% compared to less than 1,000 sold on Oct. 5.
Van Halen’s top 10 biggest-selling songs on Oct. 6 were: “Jump” (3,000), “Panama” (2,000), “Eruption” (2,000), “Runnin’ With the Devil” (2,000), “You Really Got Me” (2,000), “Dance the Night Away” (1,000), “Why Can’t This Be Love” (1,000), “Hot for Teacher” (1,000), “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love” (1,000) and “Jamie’s Cryin’” (1,000). (Figures are rounded to the nearest thousand.)
“Jump” was Van Halen’s only No. 1 hit, among 16 top 40 hits, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, spending five weeks atop the list in 1984.
News on any further sales gains, as well as significant streaming increases, will be reported in the coming days. It’s expected that Van Halen may impact a number of Billboard’s charts (dated Oct. 17) next week.

If you would’ve told me earlier this year that DaBaby would get his first #1 hit and be there for 7 weeks, only to be out-streamed by Dreams by Fleetwood Mac in this same year, I would’ve thought you were trippin on acid lol

It would be quite a coincidence if Dreams reenters and next to it Don't Stop debuts.

“Heart Of Glass” will probably just bubble under this week because of all the debuts...I’m sad

What's great about "Dreams" doing well again is that none of its points stem from UGC. Yeah, a silly TikTok video raised its profile, though after watching it, people genuinely are interested in the song itself, streaming, purchasing, etc. Sometimes, these popular TikTok videos have not led to as-significant streaming or sales activity.

On my nth listen of FRANCHISE, I'm expecting this will grow on a lot of people the same way SICKO MODE did.

On my nth listen of FRANCHISE, I'm expecting this will grow on a lot of people the same way SICKO MODE did. Most people praised SICKO MODE as the standout track off ASTROWORLD as soon as the album dropped. If you read the reviews for ASTROWORLD, critics also praised it as a standout track. It was also the song getting the most streams and sales right off the bat. It didn't have to grow on many people. Like the many singles Travis has released post-ASTROWORLD, Franchise simply isn't a good song, but for his sake, I hope people grow to like it, if only so it performs better.

Although I really do like "Franchise", it's basically the "Watch" of this era in terms of reception. It'll probably be included on 'Utopia' because it's a number one single but yeah, if it didn't debut top ten, the chances of its inclusion would've been slim to none.

Yeah, I don't see how it doesn't make it on his album. Even the Scotts might find it's way on there if his collab album with Kid Cudi doesn't materialize before then. He'll just credit Cudi as a feature.

With Dreams reentering soon I have to ask, did Hooked on a Feeling ever re-enter thanks to Guardians of the Galaxy?

Dreams did pretty well in the 70s, right? How many weeks would it need in 2020/2021 to get to the all-time list?

Dreams did pretty well in the 70s, right? How many weeks would it need in 2020/2021 to get to the all-time list? "Dreams" was Fleetwood Mac's one and only #1 hit. Was #39 on the 1977 year-end chart, which wasn't their highest placement on a year-end (That would be "Hold Me", a #4 hit that was #31 in the 1982 year-end). "Dreams" spent 19 weeks on the Hot 100 in 1977, three other Fleetwood Mac songs spent the same or more weeks on the Hot 100: "Say You Love Me" (#11 in 1976, 19 weeks), "Little Lies" (#4 in 1987, 21 weeks), and surprisingly, the live version of "Landslide" (#51 in 1998, 20 weeks).

It would be cool if some random pop radio DJ/program director recognized how well "Dreams" is doing, streaming-wise/sales-wise/meme-wise and they just organically added it to their playlist - I could see it doing extremely well and other radio stations would follow suit. Stuff like that used to happen more often back in the day.
I know it's been played on "classic rock" radio for 40+ years, but today's pop kids are into it now...

From the creators of the "throwaway remix to get to #1", comes the new version "throwaway remix to try to stay top 40 for a second week".
