The "leaked audio" in the video posted on this page is not of the song that's coming out Friday. Thank you for confirming this and I hope people don't jump into conclusions next time when they see that something 'has leaked' and it's attached to the name of the supposed artist.

I thought it was strange I actually found a "leaked" song because I never do. lol. I hope it is better than the supposed song "Lonely" I heard on Youtube. Not that it was awful but it wasn't a song many would get hyped over.

Not really my cup of tea sonically, but this is powerful.

I hope this doesn’t kill “Holy.” If a Bieber song is going to be spammed every 50 minutes on every pop station this winter, I don’t want it to be this one.

This is a lot better than most of his other recent releases.

This is ALMOST amazing.. I love everything except for how his voice sounds during the lo-o-o-o-o-o-nely. A huge step up from the likes of Holy, Yummy, and Intentions though

^ Yeah the looOoOoOoOoonely is grating for me. It's a fine enough song otherwise, doesn't have much replay value for me, but it's inoffensive and is probably a step in the right direction for his image.

I like this. Although I hate how short it is.

i really like this! although i feel that it could've been a bit longer, and maybe the second chorus have a bit more power (is that even the right word?) or oomph to it, then the song would be even better. also i echo the statements of the lo-o-o-o-onely in the chorus being grating.
overall though, this is solid, best song he's made since the purpose era easily.

This song is nice and I guess personal but it's not really single worthy... I'm assuming "Holy" will still be the promoted track. I guess their going for a moment on SNL and this is why this was released??
EDIT: After a few listens and the SNL performance I like this song a lot more.

This is actually decent. Probably my favorite thing he’s released since the Purpose era.
My local iHeart CHR station is premiering this on the hour every hour today.

this is boring. reminds me of Demi Lovato's "Anyone." the songwriting here is just boring, much like Demi's song. "they criticized the things I did as an idiot kid" like yes?? you were 19 when you spat on your fans from a hotel balcony, and also 19 when you peed in the mopping bucket of a restaurant. I don't see Billie Eilish or Lil Nas X doing that?
to me, this song reads like a notes app apology a beauty guru would post on twitter after getting cancelled for being transphobic or something. like, whatever. make good music and be a good person, Justin, I don't need to hear about your struggle with fame and money. especially if all you're doing is directly saying you struggled with "the money and fame at an early age". we know. we were there.

This man is growing up and reflecting. I see nothing wrong with it. A lil ballad never hurt. Seems like they are just giving this a random release, so it's still not officially tied to anything.

Lmao it took me all day to realize that Benny Blanco is not the same person as Blanco Brown (the guy who sings The Git Up). I was wondering why he was featured even though he didn’t have a verse in the song. Then I remembered Eastside and that this guy is a producer...

Holy was better than this. Literally can’t even say “Alexa, play Lonely by Justin Bieber” without her playing Holy. Whose genius idea were these song titles back to back? Lol

Amen brother. But I don't think this is random, I think it's for his 2nd SNL performance tomorrow. It's bound to get some attention, and deservedly so. Also, I teared up during the video. Say what you want, but this is human being telling you something y'all know nothing about. He's been a kid up until recently, and now he's reflecting. Show some respect, or at least some empathy. FFS.

Well, damn. Celebs whining about how lonely their lives are seems insensitive to me. Tell that to the gay kid from the midwest with no hope of a happy future. I’m sure he or she would trade places with you rápido.

at the end of the day, this is a very good move for him for the longevity of his career. If he wants to remain relevant into his 30's, then this is necessary.
that being said, I hope he doesn't abandon his bad boy image entirely.

Deppresion , feeling lonely, anxiety don’t have anything to do with what you have on the outside.

Now that I’m over the disappointment that this isn’t something more uptempo, I have to admit, this is a nice lil song that I can relate to alot. That being said, it’s not pop friendly. How do we think it’ll perform? Will it be an Anyone, a My Future, Cool (forever in the shadow of Sucker), or Lose You to Love Me?
I vote that this will be a My Future.

Deppresion , feeling lonely, anxiety don’t have anything to do with what you have on the outside. yeah no I definitely agree with this, and the way fancyone08 interpreted what I wrote is off. celebrities can be, and I believe a lot of them are, lonely. especially when you go from nothing to something, you have to pick and choose who you can keep in your circle and have around you when you want to be yourself. my problem with this song is that it is just boring. I don't know why I keep comparing Justin to Demi but it reminds me of "Anyone" or her new "Commander in Chief" songs—they don't elaborate on a feeling or go deep and explore it, they just say what the feeling is. the song is literally called "lonely" and Justin actually flat out says "they criticized me" "I got rich and famous young" etc. nothing clever about the approach to the topic. on the other end of the spectrum, I thought Demi's "Sober" was actually really well-written. "thank u, next" handled a personal topic in a clever fashion, too. "lonely" just doesn't do it.
