Another song that will unfortunately not make the year end. “I’m such a baby, yeah the Cowboys make me cry.” As a lifelong Cowboys fan who was born after the Super Bowls, this line is painfully true

It was changed because Posty is from the DFW and has referenced the Cowboys in previous songs like Wow.

Oh I know it was originally the Dolphins. It was also written in 1994 when the Dolphins were in the middle of wasting Dan Marino’s career. 25 years later, Posty helps show that the Dolphins aren’t the only team that knows how to find new ways to disappoint their own mothers.

I remember being on this forum back in 2019 when Heartless dropped and everyone said that The Weeknd era had finally ended bc it wasn’t a great first single, just for him to then drop the biggest song of all time like a week later lol

It was OK but nothing special yet it still did pretty well. And on the topic of BL, it's ludicrous how well that song is performing. Also what do you mean by " The Weeknd Era "?

Y’all already got “new man on the Minnesota Vikings,” only for said new man to ask for a trade the following offseason. We know that y’all got it hard

As an Eagles fan, I kind of feel bad for beating the Vikings in the NFC Championship 3 years ago. I know my team ended up winning the Super Bowl, but it hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows since. Sometimes, I wonder what would have happened if the Vikings won the Super Bowl at home, and gave Prince the ultimate tribute.

None of y'all would have survived in Cleveland. “You do realize it’s statistically harder to be this consistently bad than it is to occasionally, accidentally be good?” In all seriousness, congrats on beating Pittsburgh. It felt like, after 18 years, the quiet kid in the back of the class finally stood up to his bully

Inclusive of the May 1, 2021 chart, here's how I think things stand on the 2021 year-end list:
Save Your Tears should make a big jump into or near the top ten next week, and Rapstar should reach the top 100.

So I was considering the idea of how packed this summer might be for new album releases. I think this would make more sense in this thread since songs from these album will definitely reach the year end. We can predict the year end top ten with it too. Anyway, this could be a fun summer for music releases.
This is just hypothetical with the exact dates, but actual, album-tease/suggestive based, predictions with the months. I had an original list with Billie listed for July 16th but it turns out she is releasing on July 30th so I'll move her to then, move Travis too, though this is supposed to be hypothetical when it comes to the specific dates anyway, so it's best not to take the specific dates to heart.
(Let's just say Drake for May, since DJ Khaled drops his own album tonight. We already know Olivia Rodrigo is dropping her album on May 21. Bebe Rexha on May 7. BTS on June 16.)
June 4: Khalid June 11: Cardi B June 18: Doja Cat June 25: Bruno Mars July 2: Roddy Ricch / Lil Nas X July 9: Posthumous Juice WRLD (finished Outsiders) July 16: Travis Scott July 23: Post Malone July 30: Billie Eilish* August 6: Lorde August 13: Kendrick Lamar
As for the Hot 100 year end, a song from a couple of these albums could end up in the year end top 10 due to the cutoff for the year end top 10 being potentially lower this year, allowing summer hits that wouldn't have made it to the year end top 10 in 2017-2020 to do so in 2021 so long as they can still get above 600,000 points. Of course, singles from these albums released before the album have the best chance for the year end top 10, especially if the album ends up dropping in later July or August or later.

I'll be quite surprised if anything not already charting makes it to the year end top ten at this point. The year's biggest hits just keep clinging onto the chart so there's no room for newcomers.

Cry Baby clinched it's YE spot on its final week on the chart.

From the looks of things, the major album release schedule is really starting to ramp up as we approach the summer. I'm hoping we get more album bombs that punch high on the Hot 100 soon so that we can send some songs that have been long overdue to exit into recurrency, especially those currently in the 21-50 range.

How many more weeks would Damage need to make the YE? Its currently done 19 weeks, so my best guess is another 4-5 weeks, if it can even last that long

I highly doubt it will make it past next week, especially with DJ Khaled coming.

BTS on June 16.) I remember being on this forum back in 2019 when Heartless dropped and everyone said that The Weeknd era had finally ended bc it wasn’t a great first single, just for him to then drop the biggest song of all time like a week later lol If I remember correctly, "Heartless" and "Blinding Lights" were released at the same day, but also I thought "Heartless" would be the bigger song (chart-wise) between the two, and (maybe, others did) I was completely wrong with how insane "Blinding Lights"' chart performance was.

^Actually, Heartless was released two days before Blinding Lights and was the song that was first promoted to radio. Early on, it would have seemed that Heartless would do better, but I guess, early on, Blinding Lights was just taking the scenic Hot 100 route.

It's funny cuz everyone thought Heartless was gonna tear up Rhythmic radio and die on Pop while Blinding Lights would be his big pop hit, but Heartless still managed to get to #5 on Pop anyways
