So the top 10 on the billboard would look like this without airplay?

Would the top 10 on the billboard look like this without airplay? Not exactly, but close. RIAA units aren't the same as Hot 100 formula (I think streaming weighs less on Hot 100).

Never underestimate BTS and Army. It's the first week and all US Army are able to buy from iTunes and the web store. There are way more of us than people think. We are highly organized and raised an insane amount of money to donate to fans who lack the financial resources to purchase. The goal is a "Billboard All Kill." Army wants to give BTS #1 and #2 on the Hot 100, both World charts and Billboard 200. We want to chart all songs on the album as well. It's a lofty goal but if any fanbase can do it Army can. An "All Kill" is a term used in South Korea when a group tops all of the charts at one time. I’m like 99% sure someone said this exact quote in Captain America: Winter Soldier Actual footage of ARMY stans planning to manipulate the charts

I personally just don't forsee a song with pretty average streaming outside of youtube with no radio play being number one Never underestimate BTS and Army. This should at least give Dakiti a boost back into the top 10 the week of 12/12, possibly even a new peak depending on how the Christmas songs do. We'll see how big the album bomb is, probably will be akin to the one he had back in March given the success of the lead single.

This should be illegal. It is so incredibly f**king distasteful, imagine having to cheat to win to such a blatant and systematic extent 'cause your faves don't legitimately have the fanbase to pull it off organically. :sip2:

Right? If they really were like a modern day Beatles, they’d actually be dominating but I’d say as it is, One Direction was bigger a decade ago and they weren’t even dominating the charts either.

Even if lgo got Dyanmite's 2nd week sales, 182k, that would guarantee #1, no? Yes, 182k sales would guarantee a #1.

I would be surprised if they didn't get the number 1 with all they sold in their website plus releasing 3 official music video versions plus all 7 individual video performance versions. I mean, if right now they still think they are behind, I would assume they will release like a hundred mp3 versions more like they did with Dynamite 😂
I listened to the album and other than Dynamite, I only like Blue & Grey. The thing with groups with big fandoms is the hype is strong online but I always based the hype not on my friends who are stans but the casual ones. With Dynamite and even their last album, even non stans I know are posting about it. This time it was not the case.

I heard Iris will exit the Hot 100 due to the song being pulled across the stream-verse entirely I know it was for a good cause and I respect it but I hope it’ll eventually go on streaming services and stores. Nevertheless, Phoebe and Maggie both deserve the exposure and I hope that them charting on the Hot 100 helps them gain some popularity.

They'd be able to raise even more $$$ by putting it on Spotify, AM, iTunes etc too.

I’d honestly put them on par with each other rather than one bigger than the other at least in the US, there’s a very different argument for world wide appeal where each have their own strengths in different countries.

A song called “Space Legend” by Porky Slim debuted on Spotify at 17... It’s only just over a minute long and there’s no lyrics... How did this get so many streams? This is a hack, right?

@sosalty If you’re going to be an obnoxious stan, at least follow the rules (no double posting). You just got cleared, don’t get yourself banned. These new girls are audacious I wasn't aware of the rule and was just was only trying to respond to things honestly. Thank you for letting me know. My intent is not to be obnoxious, but if people aren't used to "double posting" then I'm sure I came across that way. It wasn't my intent. Also, people should probably keep in mind that I have about 3 months worth of irritation with some things I've been reading without being able to respond. It's only natural to have a bit to say. Do people just usually edit comments and copy and paste to reply to multiple posts to avoid double posting? Thanks. "This should be illegal. It is so incredibly f**king distasteful, imagine having to cheat to win to such a blatant and systematic extent 'cause your faves don't legitimately have the fanbase to pull it off organically." Sales isn't cheating if done within the rules any more than streamers who aren't actually listening to every play. Every fanbase does this and has been for at least 20 years. BTS's fanbase is just extremely organized. I can understand the frustration with Dynamite. I don't think that would have gone on with fans buying more copies each week as long as it did if not for rage buying. The more hate and attacks the fanbase sees or gets the more likely there will be rage buying. In fact, there are probably a few people who read your comment and ordered another $50 album or two to give as a Christmas gifts as a virtual middle finger. Even if the same thing is done with Life Goes On it won't have the same impact because this single doesn't have radio support. BTS actually does have an organic fanbase in the US, though. This is one of those huge misconceptions I have seen posted here. They can sell out any 50k+ seat stadium in the US in under a day, sometimes in minutes for two consecutive nights. Since they don't get radio support they have built a massive fanbase more organically than most. Last I knew they actually hold the record for the highest grossing engagement in Rose Bowl history. Not everyone knows about them, but they have a huge fanbase and it's growing larger and larger by the day.

A song called “Space Legend” by Porky Slim debuted on Spotify at 17... It’s only just over a minute long and there’s no lyrics... How did this get so many streams? This is a hack, right? The account lmao

@sosalty If you’re going to be an obnoxious stan, at least follow the rules (no double posting). You just got cleared, don’t get yourself banned. These new girls are audacious Sales isn't cheating if done within the rules any more than streamers who aren't actually listening to every play. So basically what you're saying is that chart manipulation is okay because Billboard doesn't punish songs or fans that are guilty of it? By that logic, does this mean you're okay with label payola then?

When I first saw the tracklist, I got hyped for a moment thinking he collaborated with ABBA. 😂 Looking forward to what he has to offer this time, and yeah, expect him to have an even greater impact on the charts. How I'm loving this increasing cultural diversity on the charts! ❤
