BTS stans now harassing Billboard and made them delete the tweet about Life Goes On second week. Wow, I think Dynamite is a decent song but these BTS stans, most of them, are insufferable and extremist people, aren't they? Like someone said they are also taking advantage of social movements to accuse people of racism and xenophobia where there is NOT, how despicable. Seriously these persons are saying Billboard is "xenophobic" because they dared to mention this undeserved #1 Life Goes On song plummeted from #1, really!? How dumb is that.

You are always talking how Billboard is backing BTS up because it's gives them clicks and it always was such a bs. Because for no one else they ever made tweets like this. Franchise didn't get tweet like this. No, they are not supporting them, they were always xenophobic ans shady towards them with their tweets. And of course they again deleted it, when they were called out. You all need to stop being biased. BTS stans now harassing Billboard and made them delete the tweet about Life Goes On second week. This is not about them posting LGO second week. They knew it will drop. But it's about how they word that tweet. They are not doing it for other artists. Always only for BTS. So stop with this bul*it. YOUR 👏 SENSITIVITY 👏 TO 👏 FACT 👏 IS 👏 TOXIC 👏

I'm interested to know how the streams are that close. "AIWFCIY" is ahead on every platform I've seen. I know some of the leads (like Spotify) aren't huge, but YouTube alone should put "AIWFCIY" ahead by million, no? Maybe Brenda is stronger on Amazon, to make up the difference? I'd love to see Brenda Lee fully play the chart game to get #1 and release a DaBaby/Megan Thee Stallion remix for RATCT with limited edition vinyl and CD singles. Hell, she could even release a super-limited 78rpm single for her longtime stans. It would be the most glorious, ridiculous thing that has ever happened on the Hot 100.

Again, in tha article (which most will not read) but not in the tweet announcing the chart results leaving it to hateful stans. Im not here to argue with all of you, because I see there's no point when all of you have a bias against them and see everything as the western stans that you are. You are portraying army as those bullying crazy teenagers (1) when they are the only one from stan twitter who learned how charts works (2), who has professional people which knowledge making prediction (3) (who are mostly true an they learned it faster than all of you) and has to fight racism and xenophobia from all of places. And no, Billboard tweeting about LGO dropping 20 something places is not xenophobia and don't even tell me they are not facing it in the west when they have no playlisting and radio support unless it's song in english (4), they are constantly not nominated in major categories when they are outselling many western artists (5) and every interview they keep asking them what they dream collab is istead of asking about creative process (it's better now, especially their grammy interviews which all of you should watch) and no one talking about their artistry and deep, complex lyrics (6). I said what I wanted to say. 1. if the shoe fits 2. wrong. barbz, arianators, beliebers have all pulled the same stunts, ESPECIALLY the barbz 3. what's your point? people like tanooki & simon falk run predictions too and they're fairly accurate as well 4. you're surprised? english & spanish are the top 2 languages here, so english & spanish songs have the most success. is it xenophobic that new tracks by post malone & taylor swift flop in Japan? 5. and the weeknd outsold even BTS and got 0 grammy noms. BTS finally gets a genre category nom and you complain that they only got it to appease their fans. you're ALMOST self-aware 6. if you want to talk lyricism, go to the BTS artist thread

Does everyone have to copy that huge BTS multiple tweet block? Seriously.
Considering how many ppl here blast Billboard daily (hourly), ironic some are calling BTS fans toxic.
It's refreshing to see so many songs that are doing well on the 3 components of the H100. I hope LC can break into Top 10 this year. Since it's credited to Wham, it'll be almost 35 years between Top 10s!

^It's going to be tough though not impossible, seeing how it was #11 in Holiday Songs last week. Top 15 is quite likely.

Poor BTS stains they were too busy getting off to the photos in the $50 CD (yes fifty F'ING dollars) to take time to stream it. Too bad it didn't top the TROLLZ big drop.

I don't even get the "radio is racist" thing, radio, especially recently has played all sorts of Spanish language songs. Why is that? Oh yeah cuz half the US speaks Spanish. The language barrier to K-Pop is always gonna keep it away from radio, that's just how it is. It's not Xenophobic that the general population of the US doesn't wanna listen to songs they can't understand at all. There's a reason why Dynamite is BTS's first real radio hit here, because it's in English.
I don't know what these stans want, BTS's reception on radio hasn't ever been that good. Dynamite is pretty big on radio right now but it has had terrible call-out scores over on Pop for weeks at this point, and every other BTS track stalled out due to mediocre reception as well. Why would radio play an act that consistently has terrible reception? Whether the GP is being "Xenophobic" or not, it's just bad for business.

So is AIWFC going to be considered a second chart run to #1 (like the Twist) or will the chart runs of these seasonal hits be just considered a different beast altogether?

So is AIWFC going to be considered a second chart run to #1 (like the Twist) or will the chart runs of these seasonal hits be just considered a different beast altogether? It’ll be at least two years, and almost certainly more, until another holiday song besides AIWFCIY joins that list, so I imagine it’ll be considered equivalent to The Twist’s accomplishment until some future point when it makes more sense to call the twist the “only non-holiday song to hit #1 in two separate runs”

On the surface it's the same accomplishment, but on closer inspection it's really not the same thing at all. "The Twist" went to #1 on two different occasions in two different years, but it was an organic hit both times (first time for the teenagers; second time for the adults). AIWFCIY on the other hand, catches fire and re-charts every time Christmas season rolls around; it's immensely popular and last year it become the first Christmas song in over 60 years to gain enough popularity to get to #1 (an accomplishment it will likely repeat again this year). But it's becoming a tradition at this point, which is not very organic at all. Nothing wrong with that. It still counts as a return trip to #1 (like "The Twist); but the motivation that gets it there isn't quite the same.

Also do these BTS stans realize calling everything "Xenophobic" makes actual incidents of xenophobia look less like a problem. Like seriously, stfu. Billboard mentioning that BTS's latest astroturfed mess flopped down the chart is nowhere near Chinese people getting called slurs because of the pandemic.

But it's becoming a tradition at this point, which is not very organic at all. Nothing wrong with that. It still counts as a return trip to #1 (like "The Twist); but the motivation that gets it there isn't quite the same. Ultimately, the main difference is AIWFCIY (+ other Holiday songs) are specifically meant to have recurring lives. They are tied to the celebration of a yearly event. Whereas regular Pop songs are meant to have one-run. They are not made in mind to be specifically tied to a recurring event. So yeah, a regular Pop song actually having two entirely different runs in separate years to me obviously isn't the same thing (and is far more impressive/different to pull off). That also applies to other records like 'biggest fall'. I don't think it is fair to compare a Holiday's songs drops once the tied-in Holiday ends to a regular Pop song having a record fall. Similar arguments can be said with all-time charting, most weeks charting, most weeks top 10, etc and what not. I guess that's where the blur with Holiday songs on Hot 100 ultimately comes in. It's hard to compare songs specifically meant to have recurring runs to songs specifically meant to have one single run. "Mood" or "Positions" cannot be pushed all over at radio and on playlists/etc every year again as a current song like a Holiday-tied song can be. And to an extent that's obviously why so many people feel a way about Holiday music pushing down regular music, because that impacts the one-time only run of those songs.

What is up with Billboard not posting where new arrivals debuted at on their Twitter? Happened last week and again this week. I just want to know where Bad Bunny’s album tracks, D*cked Down, and whatever else managed to squeak on this week are.

Surprised La Noche de Anoche didn't debut in the Top 40 but ROSALÍA is still chatting and it isnone of the better songs on the album so I'm happy.
