The verse aimed at Scott in “it’s time to go” is more effective for me than “my tears ricochet”. I love it.
The other bonus track is a good country song but she says “restaurant” three too many times LOL.
The best songs on this album have aged pretty well with me - and I’ve come to like some more than the middle tracks of folklore. The lows here are skips however, whereas the worst ones on folklore are still pretty good.
Folklore is in contention as her best overall album, but this one is “just” good and not her worst.

from the deluxe tracks,"Right Where You Left Me" is great and "It's Time To Go" is also nice with the album turning one month old this week. I think the album can hold on a few more weeks at #1 until the Drake release comes out.

I revisited reputation today, and I was surprised by how well it held up for me. The persona she adopts on the album can be grating and the drama is at an all-time high, but it's a fun record for those exact reasons. Even LWYMMD is a bop.

Hence I think song wise, evermore is better but as an album, folklore reigns supreme. but I love both of them a lot, taylor really changed the game this year

Listening to Fearless then Evermore today. It’s so beautiful to see her evolution and how her dedication has yielded a discography of unparalleled quality when against contrasted to her peers that came up during the same time in music.
Evermore’s bonus tracks in particular. They feel like the adult Fearless to me.
She’s everything.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that folklore has already outsold Lover in pure sales. I’m just in awe.

I liked both Folklore and Evermore and appreciate her changing up her sound. I had a feeling she had an indie/folky album in her!
Also, No Body No Crime is probably my favorite song she has ever done.

To end this now: evermore > coney island
The chorus of evermore is so great. It's like a Speak Now album track.

Folklore is at 2.23m and Lover just passed 3m, but consider that Lover is still doing about 10k or so per week, so it will actually be quite a while before folklore catches up unless the Grammys give it a really big boost.

every day i shudder with anticipation at the re-recordings.
I have never listened to her albums that came out before Red and once the re-recordings were announced, I decided to wait to hear them with her adult voice.

I've been too caught up in evermore to even think about the re-recordings, Taylor really is feeding us well.
Speaking of evermore... There's an evermore rankdown open in the games forum in case you were interested (everyone is welcome)! Click on the image below to go to the thread!

By the way take everything Joseph Kahn tweets/posts with a grain of salt. He's kind of a troll and he knows any minor reference to Taylor will get him attention. IIRC he kept dropping hints during the lead to Lover... and he wasn't involved at all.
fwiw I like what they achieved but by reputation it was getting stale and she need to work with a different director. "...Ready for It?" felt like a waste of CGI and budget, and "End Game" was much ado about nothing. I did like "Delicate" for what it was but it felt like time to move on.

I wonder who writes the video treatments though? He’s the director but I feel like Taylor writes the video treatments most times. Regardless, Joseph’s productions always feel like events and blockbuster quality. I think the ones you mentioned lacked cohesive storylines but the quality is at least stellar.

Yup, they were lacking in plot/replay value. They all looked great, but I still felt like they were missed opportunities. Especially when they were coming from a flawless run with 1989+LWYMMD.

I love the End Game music video, personally I find it to be one of her best in her videography, but I agree about Ready For It.

I did like Delicate and thought it had some replay value with all the quirky faces she made and the premise of her being invisible.
But RFI and End Game's videos were dull. Pretty? Yes. Interesting? For 3 minutes, sure. But they weren't anything I'd want to rewatch. Glad she's moved on from him. Looking at his list of videos lately, they're all flashy but boring.

RE: "End Game", I'm a fan of more plot-driven videos, so I found it to have no direction or point what-so-ever. It's hardly horrible or anything, just that she has such a strong videography...
"You Belong With Me"? iconic. "Love Story"? a moment. "Look What You Made Me Do"? still a gem of a video. "Blank Space" ugh, the subversion of her public image into an ironic video? amazing. "Shake it Off"? funny and corny without going into "ME!" levels of cringe. "Wildest Dreams"? An actual movie. "End Game"? Eh it's fine.
btw I finally got to the Killing Eve episode with the Austin cover of LWYMMD, and I had a good laugh. The way she kept those coins out of Scooter's pocket.

She's started the 'chapter' thing for Evermore (with a Folklore song included?):
I dunno how much these actually help, but okay! I'm still waiting for her to drop signed copies and/or limited edition alternate covers.
