I find it weird that the vinyl of folklore with the standard cover does not seem to be available anywhere except her website, and it doesn't ship for 10-12 weeks. Why is this?

it actually doesn’t surprise me, Ive noticed that it’s the main song on evermore that pops up on playlists and the home page of the alternative section on Apple.

This was probably chosen due to National being a feature, this is similar to exile in this regard as AAA radio might have reservations for playing a Taylor Swift song.

It's super smart that she's focusing on other formats this era and not putting all her efforts into fickle pop radio. This will bode well for her as she gets older.

She did the same thing with "cardigan"/"exile"/"betty" being sent to different formats with the previous album. I think this is a clear sign that they'll follow the same release pattern (i.e. don't expect any more big single pushes).

If they’re following the same release pattern, I hope we get an evermore live movie in a few months. The folklore movie is amazing, and her sister deserves the same treatment.

I know the deluxe tracks were always supposed to come out today but I hope she doesn’t promote them before addressing what’s going on.
That being said, she usually takes her time before posting strong, pointful tweets so she might do just that.

First listen review of the evermore bonus tracks.
16. right where you left me (7/10) | The first verse reminds me of a different song so much. This is gonna bug me :kii: I love the banjo. The song feels like two much information atm, maybe it will click after a couple of listens. The chorus is probably my favorite part of the song. 17. it's time to go (7.5/10) | This is giving me "the last great american dynasty" meets "long story short" vibes.
I had higher expectations to be honest. Both of these are bottom 5 on the album.

I had higher expectations to be honest. Both of these are bottom 5 on the album. I agree that these were a let down, especially after how great "the lakes" turned out to be. But I'm also thinking she released 32 new songs this year prior to these, so it makes sense that the bonus tracks of an album that already feels like a bonus record itself are some of her least exciting releases in a while.

Neither is an above-average evermore song to me, but that's just how strong the album is. The vocals on "Right Where You Left Me" sound like they're not-quite-Taylor... I can't really explain it but if I'd heard the song for the first time on the radio with no context I'd be like, "Is this Taylor Swift? Nah... Is it? Idk. No. Maybe. No."

Looking back at some pages, it is crazy that some people keep insisting the most streamed, best selling female artist of 2020 is going anywhere anytime soon. Especially using singles as the reason as if her lack of recent success in that department with an experimental sound doesn't make her 2020 success far more impressive. If anything, it feels like she's on an uphill climb right now. As predicted post-lover with her massive increase in followers and streams on Spotify (Which continue to grow daily btw) Anyways, evermore is yet another success for Taylor. Her 9th smash album in a row and I can't wait for the many more to come. Including hits to shut up the naysayers (Like she has done with streaming, acclaim, performing and all the other things thrown at her in the past) "Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time, and I come back stronger than a 90s trend." - Taylor Swift

I can't see how anyone can seriously say or think she's going anywhere. The woman is an industry all by herself.

I have had my fingers crossed so hard they're bruising at this point. I want this SO bad. On a side/random note: "Begin Again" would fit perfectly on Evermore.

Lyrically, I think it’s more “concrete” than most of what’s on evermore, which leans abstract-but-somehow-still-hyperspecific

Honestly, now that I've had time to digest both albums, I think I prefer evermore to folklore, which I'm pretty sure isn't a popular opinion, but... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe it's still the newness of evermore compared to folklore, but as an album I might prefer evermore to folklore. folklore has higher highs though so I tend to return to it on a track-by-track basis whereas evermore I return to as an album more, both relatively speaking to its counterpart.

“Evermore” took longer to sink in but the more I listen to it the more I love It 😍 “Folklore” was more instant with higher highs.

With the deluxe tracks, I like Right Where You Left Me but It's Time to Go just doesn't go anywhere for me.

Hope evermore can reach 5 weeks at number 1.
Also hoping for an exile/evermore performance at the Grammys. Would promo both albums really well!
