Had no clue Amazon Music was that big, now I see why her team released so many remixes. How many digital downloads does 6 million streams equal to? From what I gather, for the RIAA, it would be 40K sales = 6M streams

Surely that bit about spending $6K is a joke? Such an anomaly would be deemed suspicious, I'd think? That's the kinda thing that just makes someone sound... all sorts of loony. Remember when someone spent like 10k for nicki just to go to #1

It would still have to make up the difference in radio too. Is YouTube views calculated into the streaming numbers?

Is YouTube views calculated into the streaming numbers? No, but those numbers from YouTube should be out today or tomorrow. So far the US numbers are 8.58M for willow & 7.05M for AIWFCIY.

HDD Song Streams: 1 1 MARIAH CAREY ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU COLUMBIA 32,605,807 31% 2 2 BRENDA LEE ROCKIN' AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE MCA NASHVILLE 29,495,103 34% 3 3 BOBBY HELMS JINGLE BELL ROCK GEFFEN 26,725,703 34% -- 4 TAYLOR SWIFT WILLOW REPUBLIC 26,613,155 hitsdailydouble.com/streaming_songsNot willow being outdone by not just Mariah but Brenda and Bobby Helms too... She needs to pull through with those website sales. Had no clue Amazon Music was that big, now I see why her team released so many remixes. Amazon kinda becomes a beast with Christmas songs.. An Amazon exclusive went #1 last year in the UK

I can only LOL at the drama over remixes. When the GP hears that Taylor or anyone else is #1, they don't know how or why. They just know it's a #1 Hit and the labels can use that to their advantage in advertisement, etc. It's a business after all. The fact that there is a Mariah fan on Twitter proud of the fact that he is spending $6000.00 to keep Taylor from #1, is the craziest part of all this. Sounds like fake news. I don't believe it for a second. But we are allowed to believe anything we want these days. Send him a message on Twitter and ask him.

Madonna just barely missed it with "Vogue" from "I'm Breathless" in 1990, and "Justify My Love" from 1990's "The Immaculate Collection" on the first Hot 100 of 1991. But of course, that first chart measured sales and airplay from late in 1990, and under today's rules that chart would probably have been in 1990. (And under today's rules "Justify My Love" probably would have hit number 1 sooner, but that's a different issue.) And of course, technically speaking, neither "I'm Breathless" nor "The Immaculate Collection" was a "studio album." Personally I'd say I'm Breathless is a studio album. It was recorded in a studio and is an album. It was inspired by Dick Tracy, but it's a Madonna album.

Appalling that this was the TikTok song to get a radio push and not Heather which even though I didn't like, was much more deserving

Btw to the Cream Team, how painful is it the closest thing Kim Petras has gotten to charting is on a cover by The Kid LAROI? Just curious

Remember when someone spent like 10k for nicki just to go to #1 I just spent [$xx,xxx] to ensure [XXX] .... Like the Nicki tweets, RECEIPTS!!! Then retweet to Billboard/SoundScan to nullify. Meanwhile, no one's really noticing Republic HUGE 'promotion' to push 'Positions' to #1 on Pop radio in quick time, which I'm guessing is the primary reason why it's holding unexpectedly well on H100.

I've noticed. At one point it had basically stalled around #10 or so, and then it suddenly took off and has had huge gains for a few weeks now. Streams and downloads are underwhelming.

For the Australian Singles chart, willow managed to debut at #1, while Without You is up to #3 there.

RIP to "Kings & Queens" 's chances of cracking the top 10 post-Christmas. π To be fair, I don't think it would have made the top 10 even without the Christmas songs. These kinds of heavily-radio-driven hits aren't really equipped to crack the top 10 or even top 20 without absolutely massive (i.e. #1 with a big margin) airplay at their peak.

Real shame about Heather but I'm not complaining about this one. Only means more people will be finally exposed to the original Or more people will put the cover on their 2021 worst lists because heaven knows we all need our easy targets (not to mention Bang and Without You).

Mariah losing to Taylor would be amazing Can you lose if you don't even compete? Mariah didn't do a single thing to push "AIWFCIY" on the Hot 100 last week. Taylor and her team meanwhile...

That streaming difference equates to a difference of just under 18k in sales. "AWFCIY" will increase that lead with airplay, but I don't know to what extent. I'd think "willow" will lead by at least 35k in sales, if not more though, so it looks to be #1 for sure.
