I think this probably happened a dime a dozen in mid-early 60s when albums came out more frequently The Beatles also did it again in '65 but that's redundant Stones in '65 (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction (Out Of Our Heads) Get Off Of My Cloud (December's Children (And Everybody's))
Supremes in '65 You Can't Hurry Love & Back In My Arms Again (More Hits by The Supremes) I Hear A Symphony (I Hear A Symphony)
Jackson 5 in '70 ABC & The Love You Save (ABC) I'll Be There (Third Album) (*I Want You Back does not count as it's parent album Diana Ross presents the Jackson 5 came out in 1969)
i'll update this as i think of others

has there ever happened, an artist scoring at least one Hot 100 no.1 from multiple studio albums released in the same year? I think the more impressive achievement will be scoring two #1 singles from two different #1 albums in the same year. That probably has not happened much at all. I can't at people trying to drag Taylor for selling her CDs in places that don't traditionally sell CDs. She is a smart businesswoman and one of the most acclaimed mainstream musicians who has sold ridiculous amounts of albums in an era in which album sales are dead because she is savvy and the demand is there. Other artists would do the same if they were as savvy and had the same level of demand.

I can only LOL at the drama over remixes. When the GP hears that Taylor or anyone else is #1, they don't know how or why. They just know it's a #1 Hit and the labels can use that to their advantage in advertisement, etc. It's a business after all.
The fact that there is a Mariah fan on Twitter proud of the fact that he is spending $6000.00 to keep Taylor from #1, is the craziest part of all this.

Kelly was 29.
She turned 30 4/24. We Are Young went #1 and ended her reign on 3/17.
Cardigan was the first solo in 10 years.
ETA: Britney was also 29. I only know these b/c they used to be my faves and I was annoyed how they declined with the public after turning 30. There may be more errors in that list but I don't care enough about the others.

Honestly, I think that with just how bizarre the stan wars are, they make watching the charts more interesting. Unlike the stans of a single artist just trying to push a song to #1, this actually is interesing to watch, since it may just go oth ways every time

I was only suffering from Ariana fatigue now itβs also Taylor fatigue . Take a break ladies To be fair Taylor will vanish from the singles chart in a month or so, if the performance of the folklore songs serves as a good reference for evermore. Her team is focused on album sales.

How many women 30+ are simultaneously debuting at #1 on the Hot 100 and BB200? Whoβs the last solo woman 30+ to even get a Hot 100 #1? Theyβll both be 32-33. Yeah, it seems like you took a lot of time to compile the list kierz7 , but the list is full of inaccuracies, not quite sure where you got the info. Other errors/omissions in the list: Katy Perry was 29, not 30 with Dark Horse. Gwen Stefani was 35, not 36 with Hollaback Girl. Interesting you mentioned Fergie's London Bridge and Big Girls Don't Cry, but you left out Glamorous Most of the other errors are within a year, so it seems like you just looked up the year and not their exact birthdays, but some are multiple years off, such as the aforementioned Britney, and also Shakira, who was only 29, (not 32!!), when Hips Don't Lie went #1 (she was born Feb 2, 1977, HDL went #1 June 17, 2006).

Can anyone explain what "burn" mean in the radio callout score? The higher the burn score, the more tired listeners are of the song :)

Surely that bit about spending $6K is a joke? Such an anomaly would be deemed suspicious, I'd think? That's the kinda thing that just makes someone sound... all sorts of loony.

Or will Taylor be only the 2nd artist to achieve this rare feat? Madonna just barely missed it with "Vogue" from "I'm Breathless" in 1990, and "Justify My Love" from 1990's "The Immaculate Collection" on the first Hot 100 of 1991. But of course, that first chart measured sales and airplay from late in 1990, and under today's rules that chart would probably have been in 1990. (And under today's rules "Justify My Love" probably would have hit number 1 sooner, but that's a different issue.)
