Something about Closure somewhat clicked the exact day I turned in the rankdown. Before that, it would've easily been my last place. I just couldn't get passed that messy AF opening instrumental.  |

"it's time to go" probably suffered in this rankdown from being a bonus track (less familiarity). I think it has a *much* stronger melody than the likes of "happiness", "tolerate it", and "tis the damn season".

"coney island" is just so damn dreary. On a record such as this, it fell flat for me with my first impression. It's grown a bit but not by much.
PS. and I still can't stand "closure" lol. That drum machine or whatever the hell kind of noise that is behind her is just too much. A sore thumb on a flawless album.

"right where you left me" would've been eaten right up if it was on Speak Now, the place where this song sounds like it came right from. I love this song, the lyrics are great, the production is great, all of it is great. All those lower ranks are tragic. </3

i was thinking coney island would get a boost because its a single, but yeah i don't think its anything special & the national are still very boring most of the time
the bonus tracks were fine but they were left off the album for a reason
