"Coney Island" is tragically low. The other 3 eing out this early is fine but literally wut @ that being this low. How is it out before "Evermore"? idgi

Coney Island may have 2-3 eyeroll-worthy lines, but it’s certainly no travesty, and there a few gems in there too (“Do you miss the rogue who coaxed you into paradise and left you there?”). Pleasant melody, and I actually love both voices together.

I'm sorry trilogy that people don't have taste, this wasn't supposed to happen! After she worked with the Aaron Dessner on folklore, I was excited at the possibility of a Taylor/The National collaboration since some people described folklore as Taylor Swift doing The National and Taylor adores The National... and look what she served us on the following record! It's the current AAA single and her second song to be sent to the format following "exile". I'm not happy about this reveal - I love this one. How did you send out Closure out already? It is the most interesting and experimental song Taylor has done - the interesting beats - the scathing takedown - it is almost poetry being read over beats and you did this dirty? With others I am not that surprised as they were the bottom half for me too.

Closure’s production is interesting, but the song on top of it is just so blah. The lyrics and melody come off as such an afterthought.

"closure" deserves top half   all jokes aside, "closure" was a real grower for me. I'm pretty sure when I talked to born the week the album dropped I mentioned it as one of my bottom three. these past couple of weeks, it's been the only song on the album that I've revisited outside of the context, because it gets stuck in my head every other day. I put it as my #6 because my Top 5 is filled with sublime songs that were instant, but if I were being honest, "closure" is my current #1. I didn't expect it to go far here though, this is the crowd that put "It's Nice to Have a Friend" dead last on Lover. bland-ass hoes. |

Wow I didn't realize "closure" would have this much hate, I really like it haha
"Coney Island" being out in the bottom 4 is surprising, I thought there was no way it would miss the top 10.
"it's time to go" I think I overranked but it's still a good song.
"right where you left me" didn't feel like it belonged on this album and it was actually kinda boring for me.
