It is so weird how fast radio is playing My Head and My Heart... it’s almost a little fishy. It has no presence whatsoever on streaming or sales, so what is justifying the big updates day after day?

It's crazy how Ed managed to get Shape Of You and Perfect in consecutive years. They are both incredibly massive hits

His team dropped "digitally signed" versions of the songs for 50¢ (on his site) in the last three hours of the tracking week for sales. Those unaccounted for sales (and those for "Up) will most likely determine which song will be number one. Blinding lights is definitely not getting the necessary 10k to go #1 (it'll prolly need more bc the HDD streaming #'s are lower than expected as well). Most likely wont even get 5k from those 3 hours. Not when he didn't even post about it. Safe to say it's mainly between DL and up There was some estimates saying that it needed just 3K more sales or something but yeah, if it needed 10K more then it's certainly going to "Up". Which is what I thought in the first place.

I love the song but you're completely right. My local station is already playing it more often than streaming/sales supported songs like Save Your Tears, you broke me first, and My Ex's Best Friend. ...but that doesn't bug me nearly as much as the hourly Ritt Momney.Radio is fishy in general.

My guess is they think since K&Q did well she might be an act thats strong on radio but not elsewhere (kind of like M5?) Idk if thats a good bet, though.

Up was #1 on the US weekly YouTube music videos chart with more than the double the views that Cry Baby had, in spite of the latter more than doubling its weekly views. The official music video for Drivers License dropped from #4 to #9, but the live version of her performance at the Tonight Show debuted at #51.

Even Maroon 5 could still pull in decent sales and/or streaming at the height of their sellout period in 2017-18. For example, Girls Like You was absolutely massive on YouTube for a while.

I think the big reason why girls like you was so big is because of Cardi B, and memories followed behind from the success of this song. Considering how their recent single flopped badly and adam levine’s feature on that jason derulo song.. um exists(?), i can stand by this statement.

Cardi definitely helped that song become a lot bigger than it woud've been but you can't deny that song was not gonna do well even if she wasn't on it. Sugar was also a SMASH from what i remember. Memories also had some pretty decent longevity which i doubt GLY serves as the reason for it doing so. Pretty sure it's surpassed 1 billion streams or around, which is extremely impressive considering GLY actually isn't too far ahead. They're definitely dying now though.

I agree, Cardi was hot pocket at the time, everything she touched was gold. Plus, Girls Like You was released hours after I Like It with Bad Bunny and J Balvin dropped, so it definitely benefited from that buzz.

Still salty about GLY blocking Lucid Dreams. At least it blocked "ZEZE" as well, but yeah, "Lucid Dreams" absolutely deserved to reach #1. Even if I'm not the biggest fan of the song, it was massive, and one of the defining hits of the late 2010s.

drivers license is now in the top 5 on radio.
Edit: Expect Put Your Records On top break in the top 10 in the future and What You Know Bout Love to to also break in the top 10 probably in the next coming days.

Taylor Swift’s Re-Recorded ‘Love Story’ Sells 10,000 in U.S. on First Day By Keith Caulfield and Gary Trust 2/13/2021 Click to copy www.billboard.com/articles/business/chart-beat/9526014/taylor-swift-love-story-re-recording-sales-first-day/Taylor Swift’s "Love Story (Taylor’s Version)" is off to, well, a swift sales start. Meanwhile, the track — which is not being actively promoted to radio stations — drew a smattering of airplay on its first day of release. The Sales 'Story' … The new re-recording, which was released on Feb. 12, sold 10,000 downloads in the U.S. that day, according to initial reports to MRC Data. To compare, in the week ending Feb. 4, just three songs sold more than 10,000 in the entire week in the U.S. — Tom MacDonald's Fake Woke (14,000), BTS' "Dynamite" (13,000) and Olivia Rodrigo's "Drivers License" (13,000). (Sales in the week ending Feb. 4 are reflected on Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart dated Feb. 13.) On Feb. 11, Swift announced that she has re-recorded her 2008 album Fearless, as Fearless (Taylor's Version), and that the updated lead single, "Love Story (Taylor's Version)," would be unveiled that night. Fearless became Swift’s first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, while "Love Story" was her second Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit. Since then, Swift has tallied seven more No. 1 albums, and 27 more top 10 Hot 100 hits. As for the original version of "Love Story," it sold about 200 downloads in the U.S. on Feb. 12. In the week leading up to the release of the re-recording’s release, the original version had been selling a negligible amount on a daily basis. Through Feb. 4, the original "Love Story" had sold 6.13 million downloads in the U.S. Re-recordings of older songs or albums are treated separately from their originals, with independent chart histories for each version. Thus, Fearless (Taylor's Version) and "Love Story (Taylor's Version)" will chart separately from Swift's original 2008 recordings of the album and song, respectively. News on the Feb. 12 streaming activity of "Love Story (Taylor’s Version)" will be reported in the coming days. And Now, The Radio 'Story' … As for radio airplay in its first day, "Love Story (Taylor's Version)" — which is not being actively promoted to radio stations — drew 144 plays on Feb. 12 on 89 stations that report to Billboard's all-genre, audience-based Radio Songs chart, a sum that translates to 777,000 audience impressions. Leading the way among those 144 plays, 83 were on reporters to the Pop Airplay chart, 34 were on Adult Pop Airplay reporters and 12 were on Country Airplay panelists. How does that play compare to the 2008 version? The new take drew more than twice as many plays as the original on Feb. 12, which logged 67 plays yesterday on Radio Songs reporters. Adult Contemporary chart reporters accounted for 25 of those spins, followed by Country Airplay panelists contributing 12. While the new version attracted 777,000 in audience impressions on Feb. 12, the original drew 227,000. Though "Love Story (Taylor’s Version)" is not being actively promoted to radio, instead, three tracks continue to be promoted to various formats from Swift's latest LP, Evermore. "Willow" rose 11-9 on the most recently published Adult Pop Airplay chart (dated Feb. 13), becoming Swift's 24th top 10 on the tally, extending her record for the most among women. It also held at its No. 9 high on Adult Contemporary and climbed 23-20 on Pop Airplay. Meanwhile, the set's "Coney Island," featuring The National, repeated at its No. 26 best on Adult Alternative Airplay, and "No Body, No Crime," featuring Haim, kept at No. 60 on Country Airplay. The original "Love Story" hit No. 2 on Radio Songs (and No. 4 on the all-genre, multi-metric Billboard Hot 100). It topped Country Airplay and Pop Airplay and remains the only song to have led both lists. It also crowned Adult Contemporary and rose to No. 3 on Adult Pop Airplay

Huh......I didn't know that Wiz Khalifa had 2 #1s.I thought he had one #1 which was See You Again. Black Yellow was big during the week of the 2011 Superbowl between the Steelers and Packers. I remember when people were making parodies like Green and Yellow for the Packers. Good times!

In fact, I believe the Green and Yellow parody charted as high as #2 on the iTunes chart a few weeks ago, after the Packers had defeated the Rams.

Whatever you say. It appears, The question you were trying to ask the forum wasn't getting answered to your satisfaction, which caused your frustration. It is possible people misunderstood you? Who knows? That is why I suggested asking a more specific question. If you think you were clear in your question and you are getting angry just for the sake of getting angry then fine. Enjoy Again, gaslighting to the 9th degree. If you intend on being deliberately obtuse and ignoring my perspective, than that’s fine as well. I asked a pretty clear question on whether multiple versions of a song could be purchased under a single transaction or if it would need to split between separate purchases. Someone responded and asked “Why would I want to do that?” and I went on to provide a hypothetical situation to add more context around the benefits of grouping multiple copies under a single ticket...Again, instead of answering my question, it became a matter of how I was choosing to spend money and me contributing to fans gaming the system. Someone jumped in and responded directly to my question and said they were doing the same for an artist- indicating my reasoning was understood perfectly -, but, others chose to twist it and make it about a completely unrelated topic. I took offense because I had every right to given that 1) The conversation was derailing down an unintended path, 2) I was being made a martyr for a seemingly corrupt system were fans help artists to post bogus results and 3) A perfect stranger was demanding insights as to how my personal finances were being spent. And since then, I’ve had individuals like you who want to gashlight and turn around on me as though I lit the fire and am somehow in the wrong for defending my position. In your response to my post - there have been a few prior -, your attitude and tone were both negative. “Well maybe if you didn’t”...”Well instead of you misunderstanding”...A deliberate rephrasing of events to paint me as the perpetrator. When I responded in kind, you then tried to manipulate the situation by - again -, turning it around on me and make it seem as though your only goal was to help and I was creating an issue for not accepting your “kind” advice...when the insult is fairly obvious to anyone reading it. Just look at the tone....Your responses after the fact prove ill intent as well as it is evident you have zero interest in facts, but, rather a twisted opinion of me already formed...That type of manipulation has a name in today’s time... Further, just a few days ago someone was telling me that I could only write one or two sentences in this chat room...and then I later see entire think pieces, heated back and forth on the merit of different records and their cultural impact. Which is exactly what I mean when I speak on double standards in this room. You’ll have been trying to tone police me to death over the past I don’t know how long (for responding to bull)...and yet have made allowances for just about everyone else. What is your obsession with wanting people to ask you how you spend your money? I’ve already said twice that that had nothing to do with what I was asking. You know a good reason why someone might buy 4 copies of a single? To give as gifts. If someone asking what your intentions are makes you feel this damn guilty, you could have lied. Or you could have just said “I want to game the charts with my money”. But instead you made this about me (and I guess others) having some invisible obsession about how you spend your money. Nobody actually cares.
