That's Sunday right? I think the biggest impact would be felt on Monday's numbers, as there were only a few hours of tracking left when he performed.

Nonetheless, if those numbers are any indication of what we might see tomorow, it's safe to say it won't go #1 again. But let's wait and see.

I don't know.but she has radio deal,she has her website sales,her streaming is good on Spotify and great on apple music and YouTube

I give it less than 1% chance that Cardi debuts at #1. The benchmark Willow set to be #1 was 30M streams, 59k sales, and 12.3M radio. It's obviously not going to come close to the 30M streams or 59k sales. It needs to make the difference in radio (numbers we currently don't have), and I highly doubt that's going to happen.

It's actually very possible. I've read a prediction page and here's what they have. Between amazon & itunes Up seems geared to get ~20k and apparently her CD's & website sales will generate another 15-25k. With the radio deal, it'll get roughly the same radio as willow. And as for the streaming, it's going to exceed those streaming numbers b/t programmed streams, free streams & paid streams. Paid streams b/t 20-22.5m, free streams 11-13m & programmed streams ~2.5m. That's around ~35m streams. The 5m extra streams should offset the lower sales and roughly produce the same # of points as willow, if not a bit lower. But at the same time, drivers license will probably be somewhere between 315-330 points so it's very stiff. Just depends how the rest of the week goes. We'll see tomorrow if the weeknd is a threat for #1 but so far he's not putting up the numbers for it honestly.

My family was pretty underwhelmed for the entire performance but when Blinding Lights came on everyone got hyped. I have a feeling it'll be #1 next week if boomers are getting hyped about it.

Poor Save Your Tears though, he kind of rushed through it and played almost the entirety of Earned It. I know that's his first huge solo hit, but still I thought SYT was gonna get the full treatment since it's the current single, but whatever.

The Weeknd's Sales Up 385% After Super Bowl Halftime Show

The Weeknd’s music sales increased 385% in the U.S. in the wake of his Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 7, according to initial reports to MRC Data.

On the day of the big game, The Weeknd’s collective songs and albums across his entire catalog sold 36,500 copies -- up 385% compared to 7,500 sold on Feb. 6.

Breaking that down to just song sales vs. album sales. on Feb. 7 he sold 32,500 songs (up 454% from 6,000 on Feb. 6) and 4,000 albums (up 138% from less than 2,000). Most of his sales were generated by the songs he performed during the halftime show, most spectacularly “Blinding Lights.”

In fact, 29% of The Weeknd’s total sales on Feb. 7 came from “Blinding Lights,” which closed his performance. It sold 10,000 copies (up 423% from 2,000). “Blinding” also accounted for 32% of his total song sales for the day.

Looking specifically at The Weeknd’s nine songs heard during the halftime performance, they collectively sold 29,000 downloads on Feb. 7, up 538% compared to their 4,500 sold on Feb. 6.

“I Feel It Coming” (2,500; up 1,021%)
“The Hills” (2,000; up 771%)

The two songs heard during the halftime show, but not properly performed -- “Call Out My Name” and “House of Balloons / Glass Table Girls” -- both had increases, but sold a negligible sum.

In terms of album sales, The Weeknd’s top-seller on Super Bowl Sunday was his new compilation The Highlights, with 1,500 sold (up 120%). The album was released Feb. 5, and is effectively a greatest-hits package, featuring eight of the nine songs heard during the halftime show. (Only “House of Balloons / Glass Table Girls” is absent from the album’s track list.) The 18-song Highlights album includes 11 of The Weeknd’s 12 top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. (Only his co-billed collaboration with Juice WRLD, “Smile,” is absent among his top 10s.) Highlights will debut on the Billboard 200 album chart dated Feb. 20.

The Weeknd’s second-best-selling album on Sunday was his most recent studio effort, the Billboard 200 chart-topping After Hours, with 1,000 sold (up 67%). After Hours includes “Blinding Lights” and “Save Your Tears.”

News of any significant streaming gains for The Weeknd’s songs will be reported in the coming days.

the weeknd hitting #1 in its almost, what, 50th week? That would be INSANE and unprecedented with it's specific run in a sense. Cardi having 2 #1 debuts in a row would also be pretty great to see, especially bc its a solo track. Drivers license is a great song and it'll definitely be #1 the following week, but it rly needs to let one of them have this tbh

I also appreciate how good the charts are right now - 2021 Q1 has some of my favorite hits in a while - Good Days, driver’s license (f**k ur bad punctuation rodrigo), Streets, Levitating, BL & SYT, Therefore I Am, 34+35 & positions, Anyone, you’re mines still, best friend, you broke me first, Body....it’s so much fun to watch. Having the Top 3 on Spotify be all-women is sick, too. It doesn’t happen very often!

Imagine if it got blocked last spring and got its justice this week. That would’ve been even crazier.

He knew what he was doing when making the transition from HOB to Blinding Lights the most memorable thing from the performance
