I mean, it’s more than charts and number ones. It potentially cuts into streaming time if there’s a lot of audience overlap (and with Adele and Taylor, there probably is) plus general press and attention. For us, we look at everything from the perspective of chart stats whereas on their end, there’s a likely impact in profits and not moving it would likely mean a reduction in what they expect to make.

Sure. I was just responding to the post which made it seem like Adele shouldn’t have released on the same day that taylor had planned. But that logic doesn’t work for me. Taylor’s one of the best selling artists in the world, which artists likely always have to plan around her release. I think this is likely humbling for her, as it’s probably the only other artist that would have her need to move a release. I’m a massive fan of Taylor’s as well.

Has anyone bought and opened Fearless (TV) vinyl from somewhere other than Target or her official site? I’m curious what color it is.

Moving the date was also a shrewd PR move - it's been a long time since the GP has been 'reminded' of 'Red (TV)' + the omnipresent '30' speculation = Boom!
And as others have mention the streaming lane is wide-open on Nov. 12. For a 30-track opus with a highly anticipated 10-minute track, which is like 5 LNX songs - that's a big deal.

So the music videos for Mine and The Best Day got deleted for some reason, and re-uploaded, but still causing them to lose their original views which is annoying.

Is the new version of Red ever going up for preorder anywhere besides her website? I guess when they release the first single, maybe.

I feel like the first "single" from Red (TV) is coming on October 22nd or 29th.

She did no videos for Fearless, why would we be expecting any for Red?

She did no videos for Fearless, why would we be expecting any for Red? I agree. Taylor Swift is a smart businesswoman. Unless she has plans to really push one of the vault tracks (which includes the long version of ATW), I doubt she'll do much more than she did for Fearless (TV). People aren't consuming her catalog the way they would consume a new song—beyond the first week, the re-recordings will likely go back to returning revenue at levels comparable to the rest of her catalog, and I think she knows it. A (good, creative) music video sounds like an investment that would be a health risk, take several days, and have a narrow margin of profit. I wouldn't mind a simple performance video or something, though. The real profit lies in synchronization rights going forward, like that Disney movie trailer using "Wildest Dreams (TV)" and Ryan Reynolds' company using "Love Story (TV)" in their Match.com commercial.

I am surprised we haven't heard anything about a single yet, though. (Not a video. That would be unexpected.) Fearless TV had Love Story and we knew about it quite a bit in advance of the album. I actually kind of forgot Red TV was even coming in just a few weeks because outside of preorders there hasn't been much noise about it yet. And I doubt they'd forgo one. Love Story TV actually did rather well for what it was. Diminishing returns are expected as the novelty of the rerecordings wears off with each release, but I would still think a lead for each project would do well. IKYWT would probably make the most sense for Red.
Unless maybe Wildest Dreams or Adele threw a wrench in the plan lol.

Evermore just screams fall/winter to me. I played the hell out of Folklore again this summer and anticipate doing the same this winter to Evermore. Hell, I feel like, "Tis The Damn Season," is actually a Christmas song. I bet these numbers will continue to rise thru the fall (with maybe a small dip when "Red TV" is released).

For me, the last five months of the year is split between Taylor’s last three albums:
Lover - August-September Folklore - September-October Evermore - November-December
Though I have been listening to both folklore and evermore kind of back to back so I might need to remove that and essentially combine them to be September-December.

How about Red? Btw kinda crazy how a bonus track is one of the most streamed songs on the album lately. It is one of my favorites though, so... deserved.

Just listening to the Better Man demo... I wonder if Liz Huett is gonna be on the re-recording too, their voices go really well though.

Omg this is great news! right where you left me has grown to be possibly my favorite track from the entire project. So sad to see it relegated to bonus track status.
