Make that for the 65th Hot 100 anniversary chart. I guess this is probably one of the few times I have posted outside of Chart Discussion.

If it gets reported widely I don't see how Billboard can't help but acknowledge it. So if and when it happens, spread the news!
I'm the Toronto area, The Weeknd's hometown, so I'm passing word to local papers and radio stations.

Hopefully they change the formula, cause its different eras...

If you multiply the numbers: The Twist - 39 Blinding Lights - 36

I don't expect them to update or acknowledge this until they do another GOAT reveal. If other outlets decide to report based on predictions from fans, I could see that changing, but I am doubtful anyone would report "Oh by the way according to chart geeks that do predictions in their free time, BL is now #1 on Billboard Magazine's all-time chart" like? It'll only be newsworthy when Billboard announces it.
Edit: also that's not a dig at chart-geeks lol we're all on Pulse for a reason

I think they'll save it for the next update of the GOAT Chart, or at least wait until "Blinding Lights" finishes its chart run.

They don't talk much about the GOAT chart outside of the few times they update it, so they will not make a huge deal about it for now.

I’m thinking that in Toronto it can be a “local boy makes good” story. After all this is the first time this will happen in almost 60 years.

You just know if it becomes a news story, people will scoff at the idea that anything from the 80s onward could ever be considered the biggest hit of all time.

Considering me and rockgolf are independent predictors, our reporting of it will only be shared among certain circles. The GP won't catch on until Billboard reports it in the next GOAT update in 2023

This is why I want them to do a separate version that accounts for a song's radio/sales/streaming while it wasn't on the Hot 100. It would be so interesting to see where songs like "Don't Stop Believing," which were moderate hits in their original chart lives but have had incredible afterlives, end up.

So would Stairway to Heaven and Bitch, I'm Madonna.
