I really hope this can go to #1 but I fear Ed Sheeran won't let her collect a 3rd #1 on Pop

I still don't feel like it will even catch up to "good 4 u", regardless of Ed Sheeran. But it's been a very nice rebound so far.

I'm rooting for this to somehow sneak in a week at #1.

This and G4U should peak around the end of the month so... “jealousy, jealousy (Remix / feat. WILLOW)” when?

Traitor definitely needs to be next. It's already charting on pop radio and its streams are still high.

As much I also wanted Jealousy, Jealousy to be the next single, Traitor should definitely be next. Choosing any other song could cause an Unconditionally/Dark Horse situation. Not choosing Traitor would probably end up hurting the run of whatever other song they would choose since radio and the general public would probably still decide to give a lot of their attention to Traitor anyway (since that's what they're doing now).
On the subject of Deja Vu, she might end up blocking herself from #1 with Good 4 U. Does anyone happen to know of other instances where an artist blocked themselves from #1? Of course, ideally, Deja Vu would sneak in a week at #1. Hopefully that happens instead.

Traitor definitely needs to be next. It's already charting on pop radio and its streams are still high. Unless her team can push Traitor to #1 on the Hot 100, I don’t see the point. It already went Top 10 and a ballad for the summer wouldn’t make much sense. Jealousy, Jealousy would make a great summer single and be an excellent follow-up to G4U. Traitor/Favorite Crime/Happier could be pushed in the winter.

Did We Belong Together block Shake It Off from #1 on Pop? No "Shake It Off" was able to get the #1 on Pop Radio and it did so Multiple Weeks after "We Belong Together" was no longer #1.

I concur. I also want to add that this will start to take off at the end of summer probably, bringing Traitor and Jealousy to the holidays, perfect timing for a beautiful ballad and a fun pop rock song. I could also see them pushing something new, but I wish they’d just stick with the album and milk it. I miss album days.

They should do jealousy, jealousy for the thematic relevance of what most kids that age are going through. It would really help with her brand connection to her audience.

I think it’s only happened when Pharrell was #1 as a featured artist on Blurred Lines and #2 as a featured artist on Get Lucky.

Taylor Swift, St. Vincent (Annie Clark) and Jack Antonoff are now credited as songwriters on Spotify:

Not mother Swift sending daughter Olivia a lawsuit threat lol.
I do hear the similarities but it feels weird that everyone is getting retroactive credit to avoid lawsuits these days.

Kind of ironic given Taylor has definitely been equally as "inspired" by other songs/artists before.
But I mean hey, maybe this is what finally gets Taylor that SOTY Grammy! (jk i assume they will push DL there but imagine)

I don't even stan this girl but I honestly can't @ Taylor (who I do stan generally) having enough of an issue with this to seek a writing credit.
EDIT: Assuming that's how this happened.

Could it be a pending remix of Deja Vu featuring Tay? Maybe her label is going for three #1s...
I can’t imagine Tay fighting for credit otherwise.

Maybe she didn't, but maybe her label did. I'm sure plenty of these things have zero to do with the respective artists.

What song are they even being credited for? “Cruel Summer”? And if so, that’s such a loose comparison.

I do agree, though. They're similar, sure, but not enough to warrant an actual credited sample. But, hey, we can thank the Marvin Gaye estate for this horrible trend! I am very curious as to who set this up. I can't see Taylor being the one to seek credit. Perhaps it was her label? One of the other two songwriters of Cruel Summer? Hell, maybe it was even on Olivia's team's end to avoid a lawsuit after seeing the comparisons online. (Though the good 4 u/Misery Business comparisons were much more evident and talked about.)

That is definitely very much an assumption. I have much more of an issue with the obvious 'Misery Business' jack. I'm not necessarily sure how she's getting away with that one... I still think Liv is super talented but I'm looking forward to the next album to see the growth.
