- FKA Twigs isn't usually my cup of tea, but "Don't Judge Me" is pretty interesting and it has some aspects that I enjoy. But "The Other Black Dog" was the better first listen for me. It's kind of a jam!
Fredo Bang f/ Lil Durk - “Top (Remix)” (jtd, #2) vs. Lainey Wilson - “Things A Man Oughta Know” (Colbster, #5)
- I kind of dig the production on "Top". It's pretty fun overall. Not a huge fan of the vocals, but this is enjoyable enough for what it is. "Things A Man Oughta Know" is really pretty. I don't really have a strong preference here, but I think Lainey Wilson's song is the one I'm more likely to return to.
Teezo Touchdown - “Social Cues” (singingrulebritannia, #2) vs. Shamir - “On My Own” (pheebs, #5)
- I like the fast pacing of "Social Cues". It's a fun little bop and I dig it. I think I slightly prefer "On My Own", particularly because of that beat and instrumental. This one is a really fun listen as well.
Genesis Owusu - “Don't Need You” (Zach, #2) vs. Red Velvet - IRENE & SEULGI - “Naughty” (cf72, #5)
- "Don't Need You" is okay. It didn't strike me as all that interesting, especially compared to "The Other Black Dog". "Naughty" is a fun tune though. I really dig the production on this one.
Silk City f/ Ellie Goulding - “New Love” (Fire, #2) vs. The Hold Steady - “Family Farm” (American Idiot, #5)
- "New Love" is pretty generic and repetitive. I love Ellie Goulding and her EDM collabs usually come out pretty good. Not so much with this one unfortunately. "Family Farm" isn't amazing by any means, but the instrumentation is good and the delivery is pretty interesting.
Caroline Polachek - “Breathless” (recordyear, #2) vs. Duncan Laurence - “Sleeping On The Phone” (born, #5)
- I like Caroline Polachek, but this song doesn't do a whole lot for me. The production feels a little messy. "Sleeping On The Phone" is kind of nice. Perfectly pleasant listen for me.
ENNY f/ Jorja Smith - “Peng Black Girls Remix” (MoD, #2) vs. JAEL f/ Foolie $urfin - “Catching Feels” (jtd, #5)
- "Catching Feels" is really vibey! It's a little short, but I think there's quite a bit to enjoy here. "Peng Black Girls" has a nice vibe to it as well, but for now, I think I slightly prefer "Catching Feels".

I could live without the ticking sound on Josh, I liked her voice except in the parts where the vocoder came, it wasn't necesary imo. There were too much repetitions on the chorus of "Are We" that turn it annoying.

I feel like I've heard "Keep Moving" before and I found myself singing along the track, really cool discovery. "Fire For You" is good but the feel-good vibe of Jungle wins this for me.

Neither song was all that good or interesting but Are We was the better/less bland.
Cannons - “Fire For You” (fearlessarrow, #2) vs. Jungle - “Keep Moving” (Stranger, #5)
Cannons are a decent band but they still feel like Chromatics-lite

Even though I wish the awkward thumping production wasn't there on the verses, that's still one hell of a chorus. I really hope this becomes a country hit this year.

- Neither of these really clicked with me too much, though “Josh” slightly hooked me more than “Are We”.
Cannons - “Fire For You” (fearlessarrow, #2) vs. Jungle - “Keep Moving” (Stranger, #5)
- “Keep Moving” is a nice discovery, it has a fun beat. “Fire For You” has been a jam for me lately, really love the vibe. Like both of these, though Cannons gets my vote here.
Phoebe Bridgers - “Savior Complex” (willapted33, #2) vs. Brandy Clark - “Long Walk” (D3vin44, #5)
- “Long Walk” is a jam, definitely can see myself coming back to it. “Savior Complex” is one of my favorite songs on Punisher, it’s always struck an emotional chord with me so it pretty easily gets my vote.

“iFeel” has such a chill vibe that I love- perfect for when I’m trying to relax. “dramatic” is nice, not feeling it as much as “iFeel”, but it still is a jam.

- I like “Parking Lot” more than their song in WTM, this is a pleasant discovery. Faye’s part in “Sagittarius Superstar” honestly won me over, really like the vibe of the song.

- “Better Than This” slaps, I’ve probably heard a similar sounding song before, but like regardless I like it. “3 AM” slaps just a bit more though, love Thundercat on this as well.

Is it just me or is the chorus to "Are We" kind of underwhelming? Otherwise it sounded like a more or less standard poppy country-pop song. "Josh" was fine but the ticking beat and the vocoder were kind of unnecessary imo. But what actually turned me off from "Josh" was the lyrics, I didn't like them.

IDKHOW's "Leave Me Alone" and "Fire For You" reaching #1 on Alternative radio has been a highlight of Alt radio recently for me. "Fire For You" is super chill but also a jam. "Keep Moving" is good too, but I have to vote for my own pick here.

"Savior Complex" is probably towards the bottom of Punisher for me but it's still a really beautiful song. I don't like Brandy Clark as much as I want to, but "Long Walk" is great. I really like the lightness of the song, and with the weather getting warmer in the Northern Hemisphere, it's a perfect song for the season. Pretty close, but "Long Walk" gets my vote here.

"iFeel" is definitely another Wavey pick, lol! Very chill and mellow. "dramatic" is a bop but I enjoyed "iFeel" more, I think I was more lost in the music with that one than "dramatic".

"Better Than This" was very reminiscent of Sia and I liked it, but I like the "3 AM" remix even more. As was the case with "Gasoline", the remix doesn't add a ton to my enjoyment of the song, but the original was already great anyways.
