I know this is an unpopular opinion, but Rhiannon is a far better song than Dreams.

Lil nas could go top 5 right? He is doing a lot better on youtube, btw speaking of YouTube, how on earth does blinding lights only have 400m views. In comparison to hits like shape of you and despacito, these views are bad for such a big song Views for all YouTube videos have been decreasing since 2017, probably because people are switching more to audio streaming services (and also because all streams, at least for the top songs, seem to be going down in general). That's not to say 400 million doesn't seem a little low for a song like BL; I guess it was slightly more popular in the other metrics, including audio streaming, airplay, and sales.

Interesting how there's such a disparity in Rod Wave's streams between Apple Music and Spotify. He currently still has 8 of the top 10 in AM, but for yesterday's Spotify numbers he only had 3 in the top 50. And rappers tend to do well on both services, maybe a little less on Spotify, but not that less!

^So far only weeks that had 200M+ total streams but <=30% from Spotify: 22% - My Turn (261.6M total) 24% - Championships (235.4M total) 25% - Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon (268.4M total) 30% - Dark Lane Demo Tapes ( 269.1M total) Championships is from 2018, the other 3 are from 2020. Rod Wave is looking at 15-18% based on some calculations. Oh and "Views" had only 8% coming from Spotify US. Since it was an AM exclusive, but "One Dance" & "Hotline Bling" were available on Spotify. So it fits the criteria since it had 245.1M total streams.
"Pop Style" was an iTunes exclusive before the album drop, that's why it wasn't on Spotify.

Iβm so surprised at how well championships did, itβs definitely Meekβs biggest era to date. I guess some of the success had to do with the drake collab, but there were some solid minor streaming hits on there that helped it as well.

I didn't expect Levitating to be a smash like this, I thought it would have only one other week in the top 10 after the Grammys but it's holding up pretty well.

I had to google Championships lol UP serving some serious longevity, that is actually its peak!!!

Lmao now conservatives are losing their shit about the Nikes Lil Nas released and making him and CMBYN go viral all over again.
I've never seen intentional controversy executed so well

Iβm curious as to why the conservative outrage over Montero is only just starting to come now and not the moment the song was released like with WAP.

You really think conservatives were waiting to watch the video at midnight on release day? It takes a moment for it to trickle down. I also think people are more offended by the shoes than the actual video. Lol, that the shoes aren't even real. Edit: I guess the shoes are real but Nike has nothing to do with it.

The thumbnail alone will turn some people away. 3. Car sounds everywhere in the video. It's unlistenable if you actually want to listen to the song. 4. The audio has more views and is getting more views per day. Both versions consistently get around 700k-1M views (around 1.7M combined)

It is starting to feel like Spring 2019 where nearly every week has a big debut. We've had Drake songs and LTDO debut the same week, Peaches, and it looks CMBYN will debut somewhere in the top 5.

This seems more accurate to the songβs popularity. Thereβs a UGC lyric video that has 70M views, which would bring the numbers up to 950M, but you guys can decide if that would count or not.
