iican'thaveyou- could be. :) Amazon also had the album on sale for $6.99, so digital, in general. At this point, there's always going top be something for people to complain about, if it's not related to streaming, because, as it's what's driving music charts nowadays, anything other than streaming driving a title up the chart is blasphemy. Every act - and fanbase- has the ability to do what they choose, within the rules; it's just that the results will vary, depending on the act's popularity at the moment and devotion of the fanbase. No matter what Billboard allows or doesn't allow, something else will pop up in the charts game that some will find a "questionable" practice. Amen to this!

If Evermore gets the #1 on the Billboard 200, it's not as frustrating as what's happening on the Hot 100 (still frustrating though) since there's still a market (albeit niche) for physical albums and buying albums in general. A lot of what Taylor and her team/label had done to increase the sales numbers such as autographed physical albums or discounts at Target the week of its vinyl release were likely planned well in advanced. What is frustrating is the last minute attempt to secure a #1 w/ those digitally autographed albums (whoever thought of those can rot).
Also, it looks like there will be a similar situation in late August as Sour's vinyls will be shipped 8/20 and Fearless TV's vinyl will be shipped the week after on 8/27.
