Let's see if BTS are qualified to be underdogs:
-Gets mentioned a lot in western media. Especially Billboard -Performed and received nominations at shows such as Grammys, AMA's, and BBMA's -Branded Entertainer of The Year in Time magazine. -Has a militant-like fandom that worships them. -Appeared on late night shows such as Stephen Colbert and SNL. -Their label buying Scooter Brauns management company -Overshadows other K-pop groups. -Members are literally millionaires. -They also did a speech at the United Nations in 2020 -Butter is the ""#1"" single of the Hot 100. Dynamite also topped last years chart.
Yep, they are 100% the underdogs here.

tate mccrae is getting a lot more label support than i would've imagined. i've always seen her as someone who has one hit most people thought was kinda medicore and then goes onto be loved by pop fans after she's done in the mainstream, but working with khalid is definitely something that could jumpstart a genuine career Tate McCrae reminds me a lot of Alessia Cara in that she's derivative of a much more well-known artist but got a lot of industry support out of nowhere despite not being a huge hitmaker in her own right. I just wish I liked more of her music as much as Alessia's (aside from You, which I'm surprised is doing as well as it is for a pop/EDM song in 2021, even though it has yet to show up on the Hot 100).

At least Alessia Cara can benefit from those CanCont rules in her native country.

The way so many of you is spaying armys like they are some kind of celebrities. If you already posted it I tell you all why it's happening. At the beggining of this year army twitter was fighting crypto currency accounts who were paying some big (like 100K followers) army accounts to promote their "giveaways". When everything get out in the open, they left us for some time. Now they are trying to go back again becaus we are huge. One super shady person send $10k for no reason to this donation account and another one that raise money for UK charts. They didn't want some shady money, so they returned it and also some army exposed the whole shame behind this person and their 20 companies they "work". So that dude got mad and reported them to paypal. But it's not the only paypal account they have so don't celebrate too soon. No matter what you say, it's despicable that they are trying to register this as a "non-profit," that these "donations" are somehow for "charitable reasons." There is absolutely nothing "non-profit" or "charitable" as trying to effect higher chart placements for a pop music group to increase their visibility and hence marketability, leading to higher revenue under the corporate/capitalist record label structure. You complain about record labels buying playlisting and radio "payola," but this is the exact same thing! You have an outside entity giving money to help secure higher chart placements, you are doing the record label's bidding!! It's one thing when individuals are using their own money to buy the song multiple times week after week, which in itself is fraud, but these "donation" accounts take it to the next level, and are outright fraud in plain sight!! Can't believe I have to reiterate TWICE now but Anti-Asian hate is not when people complain about ARMY stans mass buying, and if you really want to support the #StopAsianHate movement, there are actual non-profit organizations these ARMY stans who are so eager to fight racism could actually be supporting. Charities with Donation Links: www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/politics/a35862857/stop-asian-hate-organizations-to-support/ Community organizations, memorial funds for victims, pro-Asian LGBT, and organizations that help provide legal defence: nymag.com/strategist/article/where-to-donate-to-help-asian-communities-2021.html More organization links, but also donating the families of the victims of the Atlanta shootings: www.marieclaire.com/politics/a35866266/how-to-support-asian-american-community-organizations/

According to the latest Billboard Breakdown episode, the main 2 reasons cited for the TOTC takedown were (1) use of the copyrighted Billboard, Hot 100, and Rolling Stone logos/namesakes in materials published online, and (2) purported use of aggregated MRC data in weekly Hot 100 and Year-End predictions. So if TOTC were to return in its original form, my guess is that they'd have to make significant changes that would involve removing all uncited references to Billboard and Rolling Stone on their website, and removing/significantly simplifying all weekly and Year-End prediction data across all their platforms. That would leave stuff like the Mediabase radio data, iTunes sales predictions, and Spotify updates on the website, and TOTC would probably have to relegate their role on Twitter to something similar to ChartData.

Okay I know this is a very minor point, but Thrift Shop didnβt get βrobbedβ of anything. Billboard added YouTube the exact week that the Harlem Shake took off, and if YouTube had been part of the formula beforehand, we would have seen the exact same results that we got in real life. If youβre saying they should have waited to add it so that Thrift Shop got 11 weeks at #1 instead of 6...that wouldnβt have been an accurate representation. It still ended up being the biggest song of the year, and would have been the 19th biggest song on a real points decade end list.
Now Gangnam Style 100% got robbed. I canβt think of a song that more defined early 2010s internet meme culture than that song, and itβs infinitely more relevant than One More Night, both at the time and now.

I think we should focus on streaming "hope ur ok", which is not only the most underrated track from the album, but also at the biggest risk of leaving this week, and it would be awesome to see Olivia further extending this record. Or better, keep streaming "SOUR" in full - such a great project! β€

The problem is that they seem to expect everyone to be in love with them and that simply isn't going to happen. Almost nobody is expecting that. Both BTS and their fans are well aware that there are plenty of people who dislike them, just like there are with any popular act, whether it be due to jealousy, xenophobia, a grudge against their fans, or just a dislike of their music. Even the Beatles get hate all the time on twitter, that hasn't stopped them from being the most successful band of all time tho. Not the Army recruiting soldiers to Pulse! The only time their fans look at this forum is to screenshot posts complaining about BTS so they can post it on twitter and get thousands of likes. What kinda mental health issues are going on in this Army? I ask that seriously. I am worried for many of you. These behaviors are not healthy.

I think What's Next being a single is what people in the sports world call a 'bust' What's Next sounds like 10,000 nails scratching across a concrete pavement. The beat is too jarring and the hook isn't nearly as catchy as the Wants and Needs hook. This is reminding me of when Drake tried to push Free Smoke as a single off More Life and people rejected it so swiftly. Luckily, back then, he knew to focus on Passionfruit instead, which was the song people were supporting organically lol.

Does the way he doesn't care about W&N indicate a new single very soon?
