BIG NEWS ALERT!!!!!! #3 is going to be OUR PRIMARY #1 CONTENDER!!!!!!!! This song was #1 for more than half the submission process, only losing its footing with the last couple lists and stumbling completely out of the top 2!!! #SHOOKETH!!!!! I've been waiting for somebody to freak out, lmao. Clearly my scare tactics aren't working!!!

There you have it! A couple people have been VERY LOUDLY trying to denounce "Quitter" lately, and even its fans have been doubting its potential from the very beginning... But the fact is, nobody disliked it even remotely as much as y'all expected! This song got its second-lowest rank from schnetzka right off the bat, and from there it was a slurry of top 15s, top 10s, and top 5s that helped propel it all the way up to the top, where it started to establish a commanding lead and never even once thought of looking back!! That is, until samo🦕's bottom 5 rank ate up a lot of its lead, and then most of its other lowest ranks came from the last handful of participants after Samo. This is a feisty uptempo that really isn't like anything else in Carrie's catalog, and I love it so much! The pure energy that radiates off this song makes it a worthwhile listen, as does the ear candy melody. One of the things I especially love about this one (as well as "Get Out Of This Town") is that it allows her amazing voice to shine on its own, without necessarily needing to launch into full power mode. The more acoustic nature of "Quitter" helps with that a lot!

DYTAM vs. LOW, as it should be. Quality won out.

Do You Think About Me vs. Low
There you have it! If "Quitter" was our primary #1 and "Spinning Bottles" was our primary #2, that means that DYTAM and "Low" didn't take over the top 2 spots until nearly the very end... But which of them will be able to outdo the other?! Stay tuned to find out as soon as I can type it up!

“Low” sounds like it was transported in from an entire different era. I can’t believe she wrote that song.
“Do You Think About Me” perfectly encapsulates that nostalgic feeling about a past flame. She just sounds like she’s smiling when she sings it.

And there you have it!! It proved to be pretty close between "Do You Think About Me" and "Low", but in the end "Low" just proved to be too strong of a competitor. With top 10 ranks from about 2/3 of us, the last place rank from fireflies barely even showed up as a blip on its radar. Although it did also receive two additional bottom 3s from toomuchboy and Troublemaker , and that is why "Do You Think About Me" even came close to looking like it had a chance. While I was really excited to see "Quitter" on track to win just 'cause I knew how wtf-worthy all the reactions would have been, "Low" is probably a more deserving winner. This song is pretty much everything that is great about Carrie as an artist. It's an epic moment for her to lay it all out on the table and slay us with her incredible voice, and she does it with her own personal brand of finesse and gusto! Not to mention how much this song REALLY comes to life in a live setting Thank you to everyone who followed along and participated! These album tracks rankdowns are always a hot mess, but that is what makes them so fun! I thank you for bearing with me as I tried to balance my class with the reveals Hopefully I did Queen Carrie justice!!!

As much as I wanted Chaser to win, Low is definitely worthy of its place. Thanks for hosting bboat!

10. "Spinning Bottles" Album: Cry Pretty I can't believe it was a top2 contender and then fell from #4 to #10 on the very last 2 rankings Top10 is decent but now all my top songs are gone. But I'm glad there were 3 other people who ranked this #1, taste!

I'm shocked that Quitter did this well. It's on my top5 (although I forgot it because I thought my whole top5 was gone after Spinning Bottles) but I never thought I would see it on the top3 and being a #1 contender for that long. Well, #1 and #2 are #16/#17 on my rankings so I don't have much of a preference - when I saw the top2 before seeing the reveal I didn't know who I was rooting for. Obviously they aren't my absolute favorites but I love every song on my top20 so I'm not upset about it! Thank you for hosting bboat11! :)

Very deserving winner. "Low" is probably the best album track Carrie has ever produced up to this point.
I think it speaks to the power of Carrie that all of her albums had a top 10 placement. She has been so consistent with the quality of her albums that it's no surprise that each of her albums had at least one placement in here. As I said a few pages back, Some Hearts being the first album out initially disappointed me...however, it does make sense.
I love both Quitter and Get Out of This Town, and I am surprised to see them both make the top 5.
Thanks for hosting!

Such a fun Rankdown! Now can we do the same thing but with the top 6-10 album tracks from each album 😆😆😆 Don't you tempt me now! :kii: "Quitter" is iconic but for it to have outlasted the legendary "Wine After Whiskey" is a complete tragedy. "Quitter" is not THAT iconic, y'all. Can't be too upset at the end however, when quality won out in the Top 2. "Do You Think About Me" and "Low" are easily among her best album tracks of all time. I may have barely had "Low" in my Top 5 but it's one of my favorite Carrie songs period and if ANY song (that wasn't "Wine After Whiskey") was going to beat DYTAM, it absolutely deserved to be "Low." Easily could've smashed on radio and it's one of her most legendary vocal performances on record. Thanks for hosting bboat11! Later this fall (when my "hiatus" officially ends), I'll go ahead and take the reigns back and open up the Carrie Underwood Extras Rankdown! It'll feature all the things not on an official CU album, including SITW, LTG, and her recent collabs with Loretta/Reba, David Bisbal, NEEDTOBREATHE, and most recently Jason Aldean! I look forward to what will be another fun rankdown celebrating one of the greatest voices to have ever graced country music!

OMG I was just going through the old album threads, and I came across this. Before we get into this... I don’t get the hate for “Ghosts on the Stereo.” It’s a solid album track: Well-written with a convincing vocal interpretation. It’s a decent song all the way around. Explain the dislike. This is my opinion and is the definition of subjective, but since you asked... I literally haven't been able to listen to the song all the way through without dozing off. I legitimately cannot listen to this song while I'm driving because I will swerve and crash into something, and proceed to not even notice because I'll be in such a deep sleep until "Low" comes on and brings me life again. Lullabies on the Stereo should be the title for this song. I literally can't even tell you how the lyrics go because I have never been able to listen to it all the way through. The song is a snooze fest that I can't even hear over my snoring around the 0:30 mark. The only redeeming quality the song has is that I can fall asleep very quickly while I listen to it. If you struggle with insomnia like I do, put this song on repeat and you won't wake up again until your alarm clock goes off. Just make sure you switch to "Low" before you fall back asleep after turning your alarm off. I'm exaggerating a little bit, but not much. The song doesn't...do anything. It doesn't make me feel anything, it doesn't inspire me, it doesn't let me have a good time while listening to it. It's worse than a bad song because at least you remember how a bad song goes, and it sticks in your mind. I actually can't tell you how the lyrics go, and I am one of Carrie's fanboys that's been here since AI that knows every song of hers by heart, and I can't tell you the opening lyrics to it without using Google. I forget that I'm listening to it halfway through and have to force myself to pay attention to it. At best, it is background elevator noise. At worst, it's a complete dud in Carrie's discography--track number two of an otherwise great album, which makes me resent it a little bit. I can't help but wonder how many people listened to her album and stopped halfway through this song because they got bored. No, in my opinion, the album doesn't start until "Low". If you start it at Low, it's one of Carrie's best albums. But the album doesn't start until Low. Fast forward to this rankdown: 1, 3, 5, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 34 I kind of expected my No. 34 to make the top 10. I was in a really bad car accident a few years ago and that song was playing during the crash, so now every time I listen to it I'm reminded of the crash. I realize that's a very selfish reason to rank it No. 34, but it truly is unlistenable to me now. Otherwise...good top 10! What was his #34, you might ask? musicfan134 , first of all, I am really glad that you are alright. But second of all, I have SO many questions!! Like, what are the chances

Such a fun Rankdown! Now can we do the same thing but with the top 6-10 album tracks from each album 😆😆😆 Anyway, the reason I stumbled upon that post from musicfan is that I was looking back through the albums and determining what a tentative list would look like for this idea. Here would be the list, if anybody is curious! 😆 (Ignoring Gift and Savior) That’s Where It Is Whenever You Remember We’re Young And Beautiful Sometimes You Leave The More Boys I Meet Crazy Dreams Wheel Of The World This Time Unapologize Play On Change Home Sweet Home Nobody Ever Told You Leave Love Alone Who Are You Thank God For Hometowns Cupid’s Got A Shotgun Like I’ll Never Love You Again Mexico Clock Don’t Stop The Girl You Think I Am Little Girl Don’t Grow Up Too Fast The Bullet That Song That We Used To Make Love To Kingdom The Champion Going with the next 5 album tracks per album is enough to use up every song from every album, so there would be nothing left unranked! Lol (And some don't even have 5 left to use) Anyway, I'm posting this list mostly just for curiosity's sake. I'd say there are definitely more clunkers in this list than the last one, but of course still a few gems as well! I'd absolutely be willing to do a rankdown if people want me to, but for now I'm going to take the stance of "it is unnecessary unless there is enough uproar to change my mind otherwise." :)

Super happy with the top 2. Wish DYTAM would’ve taken the win, but “Low” is just so good too that I can’t be upset.
Also I’m always here to do more carrie RDs so sign me up for the remaining tracks! It would be super interesting to see what does well off of the list of lesser loved songs.
